It was quite a year for celebrities versus the legal system. The trend for 2010 seemed to be evenly split between (alleged) DUIs and sexual harassment, with a smattering of possession charges, a few distressingly serious charges and several we can’t even mention. Here are our top choices for arrested celebrities, although, as always, they're all totally innocent until proven guilty.
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi
Accused of: Public drunkenness
Suspected of: Looking for yet another 15 minutes of fame
In July, MTV’s own Snooki was cited for disturbing beachgoers in New Jersey. Snooki, apparently, was snockered. She pleaded guilty and was fined $500 and given two days of community service, but this punishment wasn’t as harsh as the comments made by Judge Damian G. Murray during sentencing. He called Snooki a rude, self-indulgent "Lindsay Lohan wannabe," and said if she was going to get loaded for the cameras, she should decide whether it was “worth trading your dignity for a paycheck.” Wasn’t that question answered several “smooshes” ago?
