The new dark haired girl of the dance floor is ready! Sarah Hyland ditched her bob cut over the weekend to reveal that she now has long, brunette extensions, a look she's rocking for a major role.
The "Modern Family" actress showed off dark new straight tresses (she wearing it straight) via Instagram on April 3. In the selfie, she stares fairly emotionless in the camera, as the white background fully shows off the details of her new look.
"Say hello to Lisa Houseman," she captioned the image with dancing lady emoji, making it clear that her hair transformation is for her role at Baby's older sister in ABC's upcoming "Dirty Dancing" remake.
Sarah certainly knows her way around darker hair, as she and it for years. Three weeks ago she dyed her hair from a from a dirty blond look to a darker shade.
"Hello from the darker side," she captioned an Instagram shot at the time that show her jet black look. In that snap, and for the past year, her look has been a shorter bob cut.
There's nothing short about her hair now.
In the image, the animal lover seemed to indicate that the extensions were done by Los Angeles-based hairstylists Riawna Capri and Nikki Lee of the Nine Zero One, as they are both tagged in the image. She's raved about the salon in the past.
Last year when she debuted her bob on Instagram, she captioned the image, "Aaaaand it's gone. Summer hair! Thank you @nikkilee901 for always keeping my hair healthy and for givin me the freshest cuts."
The actress will play the older sister to Abigail Breslin's Baby in the three-hour remake of the classic movie. Jane Brucker made played Lisa Houseman in the 1987 film, whereas "Dancing With the Stars" winner Jennifer Grey played the iconic Baby character.
Last week, Abigail also debuted a longer, darker 'do via a photo on social media. In the snap taken from a bathroom, she said, "Mirror selfie feat. brown hair feat. reminder nobody puts baby in the corner."
