A little more than a month ago, Taylor Swiftdenied reports that she was cozying up to British actor Douglas Booth, insisting the two were just friends. But that hasn't stopped talk that the "Romeo and Juliet" thespian gave the unlucky-in-love chart-topper the brush-off.
The New York Daily News claims Swift, 23, pursued Booth, 21, during a November party in Los Angeles, but he was "extremely dismissive" of her flirting efforts.
Taylor supposedly kvetched about his attitude to pal -- and Booth's Juliet -- Hailee Steinfeld during a trip to the ladies' room. Conclusion-leaps an eavesdropping bathroom snitch, "Taylor was whining and complaining about his aloofness toward her. She looked like an animal circling its prey, when she tried to get his attention."
Despite the pair being spotted together in London, their budding connection supposedly petered out fast.
"Doug is a young guy and is enjoying the single life," explains an insider. "He was quite taken aback about how keen Taylor was. She has been in touch with him, but he just wants to be friends."
