Heidi Klum Hosts Belated Halloween Party in New York
Heidi Klum wisely postponed her annual Halloween party this year due to Hurricane Sandy, but she wasn't going to let her fancy Cleopatra outfit go to waste. The costume-obsessed "Project Runway" host moved the shindig to Dec. 1 and turned it into a fundraiser to benefit victims of the deadly storm, explaining that she couldn't "have fun when so many people's lives had been destroyed." Still, the serious nature of the cause didn't seem to interfere with Heidi's habit of going over-the-top when playing dress-up. Decked out as the queen of the Nile, the supermodel, 39, arrived at the shindig with her face covered with "hundreds" of individually applied crystals. The next day, Heidi headed to Lindenhurst, N.Y., to hand out toys to families still recovering from the storm. Said Klum of her benevolent bash, "We can mix this together and help a lot of the people." (Us)
