2011: Long-Sleeve Story
Forget 70 degrees and sunny. January in California isn't as warm as you'd imagine. Still, we think it was form -- not function -- that made long-sleeve dresses so popular on the red carpet in 2011. Anne Hathaway shone in an amber gown by Giorgio Armani Privé. Angelina Jolie wore a gorgeous emerald green Atelier Versace gown. And while Leighton Meester's Burberry Prorsum nude crepon print ruched crescent frock wasn't covered in sparkles like Angelina's and Anne's gowns, its long sleeves kept her on trend.
