Join Wonderwall.com as we take a look at the biggest stories of July 2021 that prove how celebrities are nothing like us… starting with Cardi B's humblebrag… On July 20, the rapper took to Instagram to casually show off her extensive collection of Hermès Birkin bags. Cardi's trove of the pricey, rare purses includes versions in every color of the rainbow plus camouflage and paisley prints. "Every other day new wig new hair, come take me out this Mugler ……a couple weeks ago," the pregnant "WAP" rapper captioned a series of photos revealing the bags and herself in a bump-hugging Mugler dress. (The caption also quoted a verse on Normani's new track "Wild Side," on which Cardi features). Cardi seems to have accessorized the Mugler mini with a Birkin Cargo bag that cost her around $240,000 back in February 2021… no big deal!

Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber sure know how to ball out while on vacation! On June 30, MailOnline reported that the "Intentions" hitmaker and his model wife shelled out £1,000 a night (that's about $1,400) for a suite at the Calilo Hotel in los, Greece, which is located just steps away from the famous Papa's Beach and Aegean Islands. The Biebers aren't the only celebs who vacationed in Greece this summer. On June 24, Page Six reported that siblings Nicole Richie, Sofia Richie and Miles Richie — who celebrated dad Lionel Richie's 72nd birthday in Greece in June — enjoyed some time aboard a $150 million luxury yacht in Mykonos. The yacht, called Ulysses, includes a massive swimming pool and hot tub, a wine cellar, a movie theater and enough bedrooms to house up to 36 guests! This wasn't the Richie family's first extravagant vacation — in December 2020, Sofia soaked up the sun with superstar dad Lionel in St. Barts.
When you're a loaded multi-hyphenate moving at warp speed while house-hunting after rekindling an epic romance from your past, you look for the best of the best — a $65 million mansion furnished by Fendi, for example. On July 16, DailyMail.com reported that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck toured several extravagant mansions in the Los Angeles area mid-month including the aforementioned estate on what's been dubbed Billionaires Row in Holmby Hills. The mansion, which is named il Magione and spans more than 31,450 square feet, boasts eight bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, an indoor bowling alley, outdoor and indoor pools and a massive screening room. The "Hustlers" star has been based in Miami for a few years and, though she already owns a home in L.A., where Ben is based, reports indicate she wants a new place to make new memories.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez aren't the only celebrities expanding their real estate profile — Adele is too! On July 14, MailOnline reported that the "Rolling in the Deep" hitmaker acquired a new mansion next door to two others she already owns in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood of Hidden Valley, marking her third purchase in five years! With this third home, which sold for $9.95 million and has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a pool and a basketball court, Adele is well on her way to creating a sprawling compound that's worth an approximate $30 million. The British mega-star is in good company, with fellow A-listers like Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, Zoe Saldana, Jennifer Lawrence and Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem as her neighbors.
Cardi B and Offset threw an incredibly extravagant birthday party for daughter Kulture when she turned 3. On July 10, the doting parents took to Instagram to share several photos from their toddler's fairy-tale-themed party. The "Up" rapper — who's pregnant with her second child — sported a pink gown, just like Kulture, while the Migos rapper wore a suit. The bash started with the family pulling up to the venue in a horse-drawn carriage. Kulture was then escorted inside, where she was greeted by Princess Tiana of Disney's "The Princess and the Frog." "My beautiful baby. I will do anything and everything for you @kulturekiari," Cardi wrote on Instagram alongside a carousel of photos from the bash, which included a tiered Cinderella-themed cake and a tunnel of rainbow balloons. Cardi gifted Kulture a $150,000 diamond charm necklace by Elliot Eliantte while Offset gave her a $250,000 watch by Richard Mille. "Her daddy out did me but I still got my baby nice. Thank you @eliantte for my baby charm necklace," Cardi wrote on Instagram while showcasing the luxurious accessory. After fans questioned the "WAP" rapper's decision to buy her 3-year-old such an expensive gift, Cardi addressed the criticism on Twitter. "When your kid want ice cream for dinner do you give them ice cream for dinner? My baby is overly spoiled wit toys & super educated. If mommy & daddy fly then so is my kids," read part of her tweet.
Drake, the romantic! On July 8, the Canadian rapper was spotted enjoying a date on the diamond at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles where he was dining alongside model and Instagram influencer Johanna Leia. "@DRAKE ON A DATE? Randomly just flew over this cozy couple enjoying a private dinner along the third base line at an empty Dodger Stadium from #Air7HD@ABC7#Drizzy," tweeted ABC7 helicopter reporter Chris Christi, who witnessed the elegant meal while flying by. Multiple outlets later reported that the MLB team arranged for the epic dinner after the "God's Plan" rapper made a sizable donation to the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation. On July 12, People magazine reported that Drake and Johanna had been seeing each other for several months.
Will Smith saved the day! In 2020, New Orleans didn't have fireworks on the Fourth of July due to health concerns surrounding the spread of COVID-19. When "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" icon found out the city didn't have enough funds to put on a big fireworks display for the holiday in 2021, he opened his wallet. According to KLFY News 10, Will paid around $100,000 toward pyrotechnics to ensure the sky over the Mississippi River was bursting with lights and colors over Independence Day weekend. "The gift of city fireworks was made possible by actor and producer Will Smith, along with his company Westbrook," tweeted New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell on July 2. Will has been spending time in New Orleans while filming his upcoming movie "Emancipation," directed by Antoine Fuqua.
If only we had the funds to treat our closest friends to an extravagant yacht experience in Italy! On July 6, TMZ reported that NBA legend and Los Angeles Dodgers co-owner Magic Johnson went even bigger than usual for his annual summer vacation, throwing down $1.1 million (a week!) to charter Aquila, a 281-foot yacht, to transport his family and friends through the waters off the coast of Italy. The super-yacht reportedly comes with its very own nightclub, movie theater, jacuzzi and gym. Magic's guests included superstars LL Cool J, Samuel L. Jackson and Rodney and Holly Robinson Peete.
A "starter home" that costs $10.5 million? Yeah, we cannot relate. According to a late June report from MailOnline, Brooklyn Beckham — the 22-year-old son of retired soccer star David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham — just purchased a home with his 26-year-old fiancée, actress Nicola Peltz, in Beverly Hills. The five-bedroom property, which they reportedly bought for $1 million over the asking price, features several luxurious amenities including a juice bar, a sauna, a steam room and a rooftop terrace. Must be nice!
