Mariah Carey and her backup dancer enjoy some seaside PDA
That "close bond" Mariah Carey shares with her backup dancer, Bryan Tanaka, seems to be more than a connection between friends. A week after the pair held hands and kept their arms around one another at a star-packed party thrown by Airbnb, the two were spotted at the Grand Wailea Resort in Maui, where they reportedly stayed after Mariah's performances in Honolulu. Speaking to Us Weekly, a spy says Mimi and Bryan, 33, were in full romance mode on the beach together during their visit. "They were all over each other, making out and not wanting to be more than a few feet apart," said the onlooker. "They swam in the ocean and he picked her up to kiss her. She was jumping into his arms, and he bent her back over his knee like they were dancing. Then they walked on the beach holding hands, and he gave her a piggyback ride. They had a lot of fun together, and were very playful. She was kicking up the water to splash him, and he was laughing. She seemed very happy and comfortable with Bryan." Rumors of a not-so-platonic relationship between Mariah and Bryan began around the time she split from James Packer, who reportedly thought his fiancee and her dancer were overly close. The sparks were confirmed later when, in a trailer for "Mariah's World," people could be heard talking about Bryan's large "crush" on the singer. Asked how she was doing in the wake of the breakup, Mariah recently told Ellen DeGeneres, "things happen for a reason."

Natalie Portman's not as pregnant as you think
Petite-girl problems, anyone? Natalie Portman found herself having to explain to Jimmy Fallon the degree to which she is actually pregnant when she stopped by his show on Tuesday, Nov. 29. After Jimmy complimented the actress on her "glowing" look, he acknowledged that he saw her a few months ago and she didn't mention she was expecting her second child. "Well, it was early. I thought everyone would know because I wasn't drinking," she said. "I just thought you were clean living, you know?" Jimmy riffed. "I was like, 'Oh, that's Natalie, man. She rolls like that.' Because you're a vegan, right? So I was like, 'Wow, that's awesome.' I'm neither a vegan nor not drinking. I was so not pregnant." He went on to ask if folks were treating her differently. "It's weird because I'm a small person in general, so you show a lot faster and a lot more when you're small," said Natalie, who measures up at 5-foot-3, according to E! News. "Everyone thinks I'm about to pop and about to give birth any minute, and I have months to go. I went to the store the other day to buy water and the guy at the checkout counter was like, 'Almost, huh?' I was like, 'No! Not at all!'" Natalie and her husband, Benjamin Millepied, also share a 5-year-old son, Aleph.

Kanye West wants to work while he's hospitalized
Best rest doesn't seem to be suiting Kanye West very well. As he continues recovering from a mental health scare that got him hospitalized on Nov. 21, Yeezy has reportedly tried to focus his energy on music and fashion — and his wife, Kim Kardashian West, isn't having it. "Kanye keeps wanting to work," a source tells Us Weekly. "At the hospital, he requested that recording equipment be brought to the hospital so he can record in his bed. And he has kept asking to see sketches of his fashion lines. He continues to want to work and Kim has to keep telling him to rest." The rapper and producer was expected to be released from the hospital on Monday, Nov. 28, but doctors felt his condition was not yet stable enough.
The Duggars welcome another child
Whaddya know, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar's brood just got a little bigger. InTouch reports the couple was given legal guardianship of their great-nephew, whose name has not been released, earlier this month. The 8-year-old's mom, Rachel Hutchins, has reportedly been dealing with financial and legal problems and was deemed incapable of caring for the child. "Jim Bob and Michelle couldn't be happier right now," an insider tells the tab. "Jim Bob and Michelle have made the child feel right at home. They treat him like their own and he looks up to them as parents," says the source, adding that the other Duggar kids have made him feel very welcome as well." For those of you who may have lost count, this marks kid No. 20 for the controversy-plagued reality stars.
Jessica Chastain announces she's still a nasty woman
"Miss Sloane," Jessica Chastain's new film about a powerful Washington lobbyist, happens to have come out during one of the most turbulent periods in recent American political history. That coincidence (or more likely, intentional post-election release date) has put Jessica on the receiving end of a slew of questions about Hillary Clinton's loss to Donald Trump and issues like the gender wage gap. She recently sat down with Bustle and opened up about Hillary's legacy, declaring, "I'm a nasty woman," before explaining why she still feels aligned to the Trump-coined insult-turned female Democrat tagline. "I'm proud to be a nasty woman. It's a strange thing to say, but I'm not going to let someone make me feel bad for succeeding and using my power," she continued. As for the well documented difference in pay for men and women doing the same work, Jessica said there's a deeper issue at the core of the matter. "[When we] talk about the wage gap, for so much it's been about, OK, why aren't men paying women equally? But then you have to look at it and go, OK, it's because women aren't asking for more," she said, according to Celebitchy. "That's what data's showing … why is that? It's because in our society, if a woman steps forward, she's frowned upon."
Jennifer Aniston hates all pregnancy gossip
If there's one woman in Hollywood whose uterus has been discussed in print more than any other in the past 20 years, it's Jennifer Aniston. And she's over it. The actress opened up to Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show this week about feeling objectified by false pregnancy reports, time and time again. "We, as women, do a lot of incredible things in this world other than just procreate," Jen said (via GossipCop). Slamming fake stories about nastiness between famous women, Jen implored viewers not to buy into any of it. "… we have to stop listening to them and we have to stop buying them because we have to support each other, especially at this time, to love each other, to support, and to be proud of women of whatever your choice is in life," she said. "It's up to us what makes us happy and fulfilled."
Duchess Kate passes her royal time with coloring books
We like to imagine the Duchess of Cambridge spends all her downtime shopping for pants from the Gap that the rest of us can later track down for ourselves and feel all Duchess-like, but Kate apparently has another hobby, too. Illustrator Johanna Basford, whose adult coloring book, "The Secret Garden" has sold more than 1 million copies, was recently awarded an Order of the British Empire at Buckingham Palace for her work. While chatting with the Telegraph about the surge in adult coloring book sales, she divulged that Kate's a big fan. "I think we've just seen the coloring community flourish," said the artist (via Celebitchy). "And Prince William actually said that his wife likes to color in the Secret Garden, which was really sweet."
