Former royal reporter Phil Dampier believes Prince William may face repercussions from King Charles III for his criticism of him and Princess Diana."The king may be slightly taken aback by the frankness with which William has spoken. He may be slightly upset that William has said that he made mistakes," he said. "But they are undeniable. We all know that his first marriage didn't work and sadly, there are always consequences from that."

Prince William spoke with Eugene Levy for his Apple TV+ show, The Reluctant Traveler, where he opened up about how King Charles III and Princess Diana's divorce made a lasting impression on him."You take that and you learn from it and you try and make sure you don't make the same mistakes as your parents," he said. "I think we all try and do that and I just want to do what's best for my children, but I know that the drama and the stress when you're small really affects you when you're older."

Elsewhere in the chat, Prince William spoke about the importance of prioritizing Kate Middleton and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, over any responsibilities within The Firm."Getting the balance of work and family life right is really important," he told Eugene Levy. "Because for me, the most important thing in my life is family and everything is about the future and about if you don't start the children off now with a happy, healthy, stable home, I feel you're setting them up for a bit of a hard time and a fall."

Royal author Tina Brown previously claimed that King Charles and Prince William were at odds over their differing work styles, as the father of three prepares to take over from the 76-year-old."Somehow, William's parenting dedication always seems couched as a tacit criticism of the King's own paternal deficiencies," she alleged. "And after five confirmed family vacations in the past seven months, William's first week-back diary pulsated with two outings, a father-daughter excursion to a Women's Rugby World Cup pool match and a stroll through the Natural History Museum's new gardens. Charles, despite his battle with cancer, has carried out official engagements on 175 days during the past 12 months."

According to one source, King Charles III and Prince William are not feuding, but have their differences, like any normal family."Do they sit down for dinner every night, or even see each other every week? No. But they never have," they said. "However, they do speak regularly and are in absolute lockstep about the future of the monarchy and the good it can do this country."
