Renae Smith, the founder of The Atticism firm,
condemned Meghan Markle for appearing to
laugh at a model nearly falling during the Balenciaga runway show. "The Paris appearance could've been a subtle realignment moment, controlled visuals, refined styling, maybe a single polished brand partnership. Instead, she leaned into performance. This was yet another missed opportunity to reset her brand through grace and restraint," she said. "Psychologically, I don't think it's arrogance as much as ego blindness. She doesn't seem to grasp social cues or understand when to step back."

Meghan Markle was "tone-deaf" and "reckless" for posting near where Princess Diana lost her life, Renae Smith says. "As we know, Meghan has an incredible ability to turn neutral moments into controversy. The video near the tunnel where Diana
died was a terrible decision from a PR perspective," she said. "She has to know how symbolic that location is, so doing a posed video there just looks self-serving."

Instead, Meghan Markle should take time to self-reflect on her image. "If she were my client, today I would have quit. This is just too much. It shows complete inability to grow as a person," she said.

Royal journalist Lee Cohen also believes Meghan Markle's mistakes in Paris were not well-received. "This is the kind of thoughtless stunt that exposes her complete lack of empathy and class. If she thought this would come across as relatable or chic, she miscalculated spectacularly. Instead, it just amplifies how out of touch she truly is with real human decency," he said.
