In the video shared to Meghan Markle's Instagram Story,
Prince Harry's wife filmed her vehicle passing by the Pont Alexandre III bridge in Paris, located near the Pont de l'Alma, where Princess Diana lost her life in 1997.

The public slammed Meghan Markle for the update. "Instead of avoiding those places that the late Princess Diana went to, she went and recreated them, how evil," one X user wrote.
"Why would she film the place where
Prince Harry's mother died? Moreover, why would she post it on social media for the world to see? Why?" a second person said.
"This is beyond disturbing. She had nothing whatsoever to do with Princess Diana, so why is she doing it?" another questioned.

Richard Fitzwilliams criticized Meghan Markle for not considering how the update might affect
Prince Harry. "I don't understand what on earth she was thinking. Well, she can't have been thinking. No adviser would ever advise doing something so strange," he
said. "I'm sure she didn't mean to cause offense. She can't have been thinking, but it's insensitive beyond belief. It's a complete absence of thought. Princess Diana's death is a tragedy that has scarred so much of Harry's life, and I can't imagine he would find this very appropriate."

Prince Harry blamed the press for creating such a narrative. "They have chosen, at a complete stretch, I might add, to draw the most tenuous link between an Instagram post and the death of Harry's mother. That, for me, is the insensitive bit," they said.
