With
Prince Harry and King Charles III set to see each other at the WellChild Awards this month,
Prince William will not be taking part in the family gathering due to the betrayal he feels from his only sibling and
Meghan Markle after they left England in 2020.
"William feels Harry has repeatedly chosen public exposure over private resolution and that the royal family can't keep being dragged into the headlines every time there's a new contract to promote," a
source claimed. "The issue with Harry, as well as Meghan, is one of trust. Ever since moving to North America, they have eroded all confidence in their ability to keep things or their criticisms private. For there to be any chance of moving forward, that trust has to be rebuilt and Team Sussex knows the onus is on them."

Although
Prince William may not be ready to put the past behind them, King Charles III is prepared to have a conversation with
Prince Harry after not seeing him since February 2024.
"It's clear there is now a determination on both sides to make this happen. Nobody is pretending the wider family issues have been resolved, but this is about beginning with Charles and Harry," a separate insider alleged. "For the first time in a long time, there's a genuine sense that reconciliation is within reach.
Prince Harry's team and the Palace have opened a line of communication and there is every hope that father and son will see one another when the Duke returns to London in September."

The divide between the royal family,
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continued to grow worse since they left their duties with The Firm.
Despite the couple speaking out in a tell-all interview with
Oprah Winfrey and the father of two's shocking allegations about the royal family in the bombshell book,
Spare, Harry still wants to patch things over with his relatives.
"There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family," he explained in an interview with the
BBC. "I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious."
