We're taking a look at five celebrities who've recently faced backlash after losing weight, starting with Kelly Osbourne…The former reality star raised eyebrows at the 2026 Brit Awards in Manchester, where she appeared significantly slimmer as she accepted a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award for her late father, Ozzy Osbourne.
Although the night was meant to celebrate the late rocker's life, Kelly received a barrage of negative comments about her appearance.
She addressed the criticism on her Instagram Story, writing, "There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something. Kicking me while I'm down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning your back when I need support and love most."
She added, "I'm currently going through the hardest time in my life. I should not even have to defend myself. But I won't sit here and allow myself to be dehumanized in such a way!"

Ice Spice
Ice Spice spoke out about her recent weight loss following claims that she relied on Ozempic, revealing that her slimmer appearance is actually the result of struggling with depression. She made the revelation after responding to a critic on X who mocked her workout videos. The troll wrote, "This weak a** video just shows it was definitely from Ozempic," to which Ice Spice replied, "Na it was depression. I'm better now tho."
In 2024, she first addressed speculation that she had used Ozempic, commenting, "I wish y'all never learned the word Ozempic. That's one thing I wish. Oh my God, like, what even is Ozempic? What the f*** is that? Genuinely, what is that?"
At the time, the rapper explained that her busy tour schedule contributed to her weight loss. "Like, you lazy a** b****** never heard of a gym? It's called the gym. It's called eating healthy. It's called being on tour. Like, what the h***? Maybe if I was sitting home all day, it would be easier to stay big."
Meghan Trainor
While Meghan Trainor has been open about her weight loss, some fans have questioned her approach. She first addressed the criticism on Instagram, revealing that she had opted for Mounjaro, a prescription injection."I've been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me," she said at the time. "Yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I'm so glad I did because I feel great."
Since beginning her journey, she has lost 60 pounds, and now some fans say they barely recognize her. She recently posted a TikTok video performing the Nicki Minaj Challenge, which involves balancing on various objects in stilettos using just one foot.
After sharing the video, TikTok users reacted to her appearance, with one writing, "I was like, who the heck is that? Her face doesn't look the same."
Trainor clapped back at the critics, saying she has "never felt better."
"People started commenting about my body, saying I'm too thin and that they don't recognize me anymore. And I was like, 'Oh, I've just been focusing so hard on my health and my fitness that I've never felt better.' So I was confused and sad and was like, 'Oh, it's almost worse now.' I don't know what happened," she told Entertainment Tonight.
Amy Schumer
Amy Schumer is proud of her weight loss and isn't concerned with what others think.Over the last year, the actress and comedian has focused on her health, working to become her best self after she was diagnosed with Cushing syndrome — including losing 50 pounds with the help of Mounjaro.
Since her transformation, Schumer has shared photos showcasing her fit figure, deleting nearly all of her pre-weight-loss Instagram posts. Some of her newer, more revealing posts, however, haven't been well received.
Schumer recently posted a series of photos from a photoshoot on Instagram, adding a direct message to her critics: "Pics of yourself when you're finally feeling strong and beautiful are not a cry for help," she wrote. "They are a celebration of life and health. Love to the single moms out there."
Jonathan Van Ness
Almost a year after revealing he had been using medication to help with weight loss, Jonathan Van Ness updated fans on his progress and addressed the criticism he's received."I've lost 70 pounds in the last year," he said in a recent TikTok video, "and [there has been] so much conversation around my weight loss."
The Queer Eye star referenced a "gigantic conversation" surrounding claims that he is "not a body positive person anymore."
"What do you mean? I'm all about body neutrality," he continued. "The way that you look does not define your worth, doesn't define your lovableness. You are worth love and worth celebration no matter what your body looks like."
He added, "That's what's so important is that we are all worthy of love. We're all worthy of celebrating."
