"That list has a lot of crazy names on it. It's almost a way to muddy the waters," Joy Behar claimed on The View. The Jeffrey Epstein files include names of individuals connected to the late trafficker's social events, travel and financial networks, though appearing on the list does not necessarily indicate guilt.
"So you say Whoopi [Goldberg's] on the list and so am I, I think. We're on the list because we were at a party or a wedding or something that somebody [else] might've been [at]. That's what I found out," she claimed.
Behar explained that being at the same events as Epstein does not mean she was involved in any criminal activities.
"I was at [Donald] Trump's wedding to Marla [Maples]. Maybe Epstein was there too? Who knows!" she continued. "That means that I'm not guilty, obviously, but these other ones, how are you going to decide who's guilty and who's not? It's very tricky."

Whoopi Goldberg previously spoke out about why she was listed in the Jeffrey Epstein files.During the show's "Hot Topics" segment, Goldberg shared an email that mentioned her name.
"What does it say? 'Whoopi needs a plane to get to Monaco. John Lennon's charity is paying for it.' It should say Julian [Lennon]'s charity. 'They don't want to charter, so they are looking for private owners. Here's the info,' and they give all the information," she said.
"I wasn't [Epstein's] girlfriend. I wasn't his friend. I'm speaking about me because I'm getting dragged. People actually believe that I was with him. Honey, come on. Every man I've been with, you've known about him because either the [National] Enquirer wrote about it. People wrote about this stuff," she claimed.

Whoopi Goldberg again clarified that her name appeared in the files due to a plane she never actually used."They go to all the people who have private planes and say, 'Do you have one?' I didn't get on the plane. I didn't know they were looking for a plane," she said on The View.
"I had no idea that the plane that I was supposed to be on was no longer available. So, I'm named in there like, 'Whoopi Goldberg needs a plane,'" she added.
