Royal biographer Angela Levin, who is often critical of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, discussed the former actress' time on Suits."Meghan won't love being told what to do by any producer," Levin wrote on X about the Duchess of Sussex, who is returning to acting. "Suits actors found her 'difficult, demanding and rude' and she was only a starter then."

After the comments made the rounds, Wendell Pierce, who played Meghan Markle's father on Suits, rushed to her defense."You have no idea what you are talking about Angela Levin," Pierce replied.

"Meghan was a kind, giving, and talented artist who I enjoyed working with for years," Wendell Pierce continued. "You Angela, are a shameless hack. I'm more mad at myself for allowing you to get under my skin. I'll focus this anger on the friendship that Meghan and I have and the fond memories I have from working on Suits. Her grace is something you know nothing about."_
Fans of Meghan Markle praised Wendell Pierce for his comments."Good looking out for Meghan," one person wrote.
"Thank you for sticking up for your friend," another shared. "You continue to be awesome!!!"

"I have no clue about Meghan. But you sir, are a hero. This is what true friends do – they step up for one another," a third person stated."Thank you! She deserved that," a third wrote.

Over the years, Wendell Pierce has used his platform to share his experiences with Meghan Markle."It was the last night of working and I said, 'Meghan, your life is going to change, and you're going to be in a bubble, but just always remember, no matter what, I'm your friend, you have lots of friends,'" he recalled on Who's Talking to Chris Wallace? in March 2024. "'We're always thinking about you, we'll always be there for you. And you know, no matter where you are, always know you have a friend in me.'"
