Bill Maher and John Leguizamo discussed the Donald Trump administration's stance on immigration. "There's plenty of room in America [for immigrants]," Leguizamo said. "Come on. There's no lack of room."
_
Bill Maher disagreed, replying, "It's never about room. It's about resources." Continued the comedian, "Countries have to have a border. … Lots of countries, excuse me, are s*** holes, and they would love to be here."

John Leguizamo pointed out that the U.S. has played a significant role in the modern landscape and political turmoil in Latin America. "America beat up every democracy that was burgeoning in Latin America," he said. Bill Maher, meanwhile, detailed his criteria for a "s*** hole" country: "If you live in a country where you can take a chicken on a bus, that was always my standard. I think I have the right to call that a s*** hole country. It doesn't mean you're a s*** hole person," he said.

John Leguizamo doubled down on his argument and praised immigrants' contributions to the U.S. "Immigrants are the life source of this country," he said. Bill Maher noted that "most Americans are not anti-immigrant" and pointed out that "they just want there to be some rules." The comedian went on to argue that even Sanctuary Cities got overwhelmed when border states bused immigrants into left-leaning states: "They called the bluff. And even the mayor of New York was like, 'We can't take all these people.'"
