During Donald Trump's visit to the detention center on Tuesday, July 1, he walked through a large white tent surrounded by barbed wire and filled with metal bunk beds. Despite focusing on the task at hand, the Republican leader brought up Joe Biden."Biden wanted me in here, OK?" Trump told reporters while standing in front of the prison-like area. "It didn't work out that way, but he wanted me in here, that son of a b****."

Donald Trump's claim that Joe Biden wanted him behind bars comes after The Apprentice star was the subject of four criminal cases before winning the 2024 election over former Vice President Kamala Harris.Some of the most serious charges Trump faced were allegedly mishandling national security documents and attempting to overturn the 2020 election.
In May 2024, the businessman was convicted of 34 felony counts for falsifying business records to conceal "hush money" payments during the 2016 campaign.
Trump has continuously claimed the legal battles were a "weaponization" of the 82-year-old's Justice Department.

When not slamming Joe Biden, Donald Trump praised the state of Florida for putting the migrant detention center together in mere days."I thought this was so professional, so well done," the politician boasted to the media about the makeshift facility. "It's really government working together."
"What'll happen is you'll bring people in there, they ain't going anywhere once they're there unless you want them to go somewhere, because, good luck getting to civilization," Ron DeSantis claimed about the center in a Monday, June 30, interview. "So the security is amazing — natural and otherwise."
