Following Joy Behar's comments during a broadcast of The View, Donald Trump's White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers issued a statement on the matter. "Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome," she said, adding that the talk show "hit the lowest ratings" in recent weeks. The staffer added that the comedian "should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump's historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air."

On a recent episode of The View, Joy Behar made the case that Donald Trump wishes he had the likability of Barack Obama as the right-winger continues to go after the Democratic leader for Russia's alleged involvement in the 2016 presidential election. "First of all, who tried to overthrow the government on January 6. Who was that again? That was not Obama," she said. "The thing about him is he's so jealous of Obama, because Obama is everything that he is not. Trim, smart, handsome, happily married and can sing Al Green's song 'Let's Stay Together' better than Al Green. And Trump cannot stand it. It's driving him crazy."

Donald Trump's warning to
The View comes as
Stephen Colbert's
The Late Show was abruptly canceled, seemingly because Paramount needs the former star of
The Apprentice to sign off on their merger with Skydance. Trump rejoiced over the CBS star's downfall on social media and threatened other late-night shows who challenge him. "The word is and it's a strong word at that,
Jimmy Kimmel is NEXT to go in the untalented late-night sweepstakes and shortly thereafter, [Jimmy] Fallon will be gone," he wrote on Truth Social. "These are people with absolutely NO TALENT, who were paid millions of dollars for, in all cases, destroying what used to be GREAT television. It's really good to see them go and I hope I played a major part in it!"
