Internet trolls continue to target
Meghan Markle, as she recently faced criticism from social media users for incorrectly using a tool to make jam.

Meghan Markle shared a post to the As Ever
Instagram account in which she prepares her jam, which is her latest product launch. In one photo, the
Suits actress holds a pair of green canning lifter tongs to yank a jar of preserves out of a saucepan on the stove.

Several social media users claimed Meghan Markle wasn't using the tool correctly. "Guys, she's using the canning tongs upside down. The rubber part goes around the jars, so they don't slip," one person wrote on X.
"Yes, the green goes on the bottom to grab the jar," a second said.
"As a canner, I almost broke a rib, I laughed so hard at this," another added.
"Everything about this image is contrived. It takes a two-second Google search to show that these are not the kind of lids that are used in home canning," a fourth chimed in.

However, many people defended Meghan Markle over the mistake. "Guys, Meghan is clearly holding the silicone and not the plastic, black rollers that rotate. I've made this mistake before and you can break jars and hurt yourself. The silicone can be black, red, or green and is meant for gripping jars and repetitive exposure to boiling water," one person said.
"The black rubber is the part that goes around the cans. She is doing it correctly," another wrote.
"This isn't her fault lol but if you're advising her for ads, you think this would be a slam-dunk, right?" a third questioned.

Since launching As Ever, Meghan Markle has been candid about the ups and downs of the business. "I appreciate everyone who gave me the grace to make mistakes and figure it out and also to be forgiving with myself through that," she
said. "It's a learning curve. There are tons of twists and turns."
