Kim Kardashian praises Pete Davidson's social media skills while sharing Tahiti vacation pics
Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have been enjoying what Kim dubbed "beach for 2" on Instagram on Monday, June 13. Clad in matching platinum 'dos, Kim, 41, and Pete, 28, have been vacationing in Tahiti, according to Entertainment Tonight. And judging from Kim's posts, she's been maximizing the gorgeous scenery — and Pete's photo-snapping skills — by having him capture her in all her black string bikini glory for the 'Gram. "He passed the content taking boyfriend test," she joked in a video on her Instagram Story showing Pete's shadow as he photographs Kim in the water. During a chat with Hoda Kotb on "Today" earlier this year, Kim said the fact that neither she nor Pete ever expected the romance to happen "just made it that much sweeter and so much more fun." The two were first linked as a couple over Halloween weekend last year.

Britney Spears' estimated $60 million fortune is reportedly well-protected as she embarks on her new marriage to Sam Asghari. Sources close to the couple confirmed to TMZ this week that lawyers set up an "ironclad prenup" to ensure the finances and assets Britney had going into the marriage will remain hers should she and Sam ever call it quits. Lawyers for the singer reportedly began working on the prenup soon after Sam popped the question. Jennifer Hudson achieves EGOT status at the 2022 Tony Awards
Jennifer Hudson is now the 17th person ever to achieve EGOT status — the acronym for those who've won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony — having added a Tony Award to her already impressive list of achievements on Sunday, June 12. Jennifer's Tony win came courtesy of her work as a producer on Michael R. Jackson's "A Strange Loop," which won Best Musical at the 2022 Tony Awards in New York City over the weekend. She previously won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 2007 for "Dreamgirls," followed in 2009 by a Best R&B Album Grammy win for her self-titled debut. In 2017, she picked up a second Grammy when "The Color Purple" won Best Musical Theater Album. Her Daytime Emmy arrived in 2021, when "Baby Yaga," which she executive produced, was honored for Outstanding Interactive Media for a Daytime Program. Asked about her plans to achieve EGOT status back in 2020, J.Hud joked to People that she "should get two more dogs," explaining: "I got a dog and named it Oscar, and then I won my Oscar. And then I got a dog and named it Grammy, and then I won my Grammy. So I think I should get some dogs and name them Emmy and Tony — and it'll give me good luck, and I'll win."

Amber Heard speaks out about social media 'hate and vitriol' in first interview since Johnny Depp trial
In a preview clip released by NBC News on Monday, June 13, Amber Heard speaks out about the role social media played in the defamation trial her ex-husband Johnny Depp brought against her and ultimately won. On June 1, a Virginia jury awarded significantly more damages to Johnny after he sued Amber for a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she described herself as "a public figure representing domestic abuse." Though she never named him in the piece, Johnny's lawyers argued the op-ed implicitly referenced abuse claims Amber made about Johnny during their divorce. Amber countersued, claiming Johnny defamed her through his lawyers' denial of her abuse allegations. In Amber's first major interview since the trial, the actress tells Savannah Guthrie that while she doesn't "blame" the jury for siding with Johnny, who has denied her abuse allegations, she also doesn't think her portrayal on social media has been fair. "I don't blame [the jurors]. I actually understand. He's a beloved character and people feel they know him. He's a fantastic actor," she says in the preview clip. "Even somebody who is sure I'm deserving of all this hate and vitriol, even if you think that I'm lying, you still couldn't tell me — look me in the eye and tell me — that you think on social media there's been a fair representation," Amber continued. "You cannot tell me that you think that this has been fair." Social media users sided overwhelmingly with Johnny, particularly on TikTok, during the six-week trial. And while jurors were instructed not to read about the case on social media or elsewhere, they were not sequestered. Amber's attorney has said "there's no way they couldn't have been influenced by it, and it was horrible." Johnny's attorneys, meanwhile, have said there's "no reason to believe the jurors violated their oath." Amber's NBC News interview airs on "Today" on Tuesday and Wednesday, and on "Dateline" on Friday.
John Stamos calls out Tony Awards for Bob Saget 'In Memoriam' snub
Following his unexpected death in January, Bob Saget's name was added to the "In Memoriam" list on the 2022 Tony Awards website — but the comic didn't make the cut for the televised segment honoring deceased Broadway stars. That didn't sit well with Bob's longtime "Full House" co-star and best friend, John Stamos. "Disappointed to hear that @bobsaget will be LEFT OUT of the In Memoriam segment tonight @TheTonyawards," John tweeted prior to the awards show broadcast on Sunday, June 12 "Bob was brilliant in 'The Drowsy Chaperone' & 'Hand to God. Come on @BroadwayLeague and @TheWing! Do the right thing! Bob loved Broadway and I know the community loved him." According to Deadline, Bob joined the replacement cast of the "Drowsy Chaperone" in 2007. In 2015, he took over the role of "Pastor Greg" in "Hand To God" after Marc Kudisch's tenure in the show. The comic, 65, died in his sleep in a hotel in Florida on Jan. 9, after suffering a head injury authorities believe happened during a fall.

The letter goes on to say that while entertainment is the main goal for "America's storytellers," it's also true that "stories have the power to effect change" and "cultural attitudes" about everything from "drunk driving" to "marriage equality have … evolved due in large part to movies' and TV's influence." "It's time to take on gun safety," they write. "We are not asking anyone to stop showing guns on screen. We are asking writers, directors and producers to be mindful of on-screen gun violence and model gun safety best practices." The letter then outlines ways the signees promise to do just that, from showing characters locking up their guns and "making them inaccessible to children" to having "at least one conversation during pre-production regarding the way guns will be portrayed on screen and consider alternatives that could be employed without sacrificing narrative integrity." They also vow to "limit scenes including children and guns, bearing in mind that guns are now the leading cause of death for children and adolescents." In closing, they urge other writers, directors and producers to join them in signing the pledge, saying they're no substitute for "common sense legislation," just "small things that we can do as a community to try and end this national nightmare."
Kevin Spacey charged with four counts of sexual assault in London
Former "House of Cards" star Kevin Spacey was hit with multiple sexual assault charges in London on Monday, June 13. According to a statement given to CBS News by London's Metropolitan Police, the charges include "four counts of sexual assault against three men" and "causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent." The actor, 62, is slated to appear in court on Thursday. The charges date back to March 2005, when a man who's now in his 40s says Kevin assaulted him in London on two occasions. A second man alleges Kevin assaulted him in August 2008, also in London. The fourth alleged incident was reported by a third man, now in his 30s, who claims the star assaulted him in 2013 in Gloucestershire, CBS reported. Kevin served as the artistic director for the Old Vic Theater in London from 2004 until 2015. A wave of sexual misconduct and assault allegations followed actor Anthony Rapp's 2017 claim that when he was 14 and Kevin was 26, Kevin made an unwanted sexual advance towards him when they were both on Broadway. (Kevin later apologized on Twitter, saying he had no recollection of the alleged incident but presumed it was "deeply inappropriate drunken behavior." The administration of the Old Vic later revealed an investigation into Kevin's behavior during his tenure turned up 20 "allegations of inappropriate behavior," 14 of which were serious enough that the theater thought the police should be alerted. CBS News notes none of the Old Vic allegations involved rape.
Toby Keith reveals he's battling cancer
Country star Toby Keith announced over the weekend that he's battling cancer. The singer, 60, shared the news on Instagram, where he promised fans he'd see them "sooner than later" as he continues touring in support of his new album, "Peso in My Pocket." "Last fall I was diagnosed with stomach cancer," Toby wrote in a text post. "I've spent the last 6 months receiving chemo, radiation and surgery. So far, so good," he continued. "I need time to breathe, recover and relax. I am looking forward to spending this time with my family. But I will see the fans sooner than later. I can't wait.-T." Toby's worked to support kids with cancer and their families for more than a decade through his Toby Keith Foundation, which operates Oklahoma's OK Kids Korral, "a cost-free, convenient and comfortable home for pediatric cancer patients receiving treatment," according to the foundation's website.
