It was meant to be a heartfelt Instagram post celebrating a mother's love for her family. Instead, some observers pointed out that something was curiously off about a new photo of

Meghan Markle took to Instagram to share a sweet Valentine's Day message alongside a
photo of husband
Prince Harry carrying their 4-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet. Lili, who's wearing a pink ballet outfit in the snapshot, has a bouquet of helium-filled red balloons tied to her hand. The Duchess of Sussex captioned the photo, "These two + Archie = my forever Valentines," taking care to mention son
Prince Archie, 6, who wasn't pictured.

But a closer look at the image reveals one of the balloons appears to be lacking a string, though it's still floating alongside all the others and not flying off into the setting sun.
_
Critics on social media called out the missing string, speculating that Meghan Markle made a mistake. "Photoshop fail: Where is the string for the balloon Meghan?" asked one commenter on X. Added another, "Magic Meghan, one balloon has no string but floating perfectly with others! Messy Meghan again!" Yet another X user observed, "I've never seen a group of balloons behave that well outdoors. It appears to have been Photoshopped and they missed the string on one."

Suspicious social media users weren't done with Meghan Markle yet. Still another took to X to comment, "Oh bad bad Photoshop Meghan. Look at the balloon with no string bottom left and the blurred string on the child's hand. Do palm trees have trunks like string?" Another online commenter wasn't believing anything about the photo the Duchess of Sussex posted, writing, "The entire picture looks fake. The balloon, her hand holding the string, the direction he is looking at her, etc. etc. It looks like they just added her to it, floating or something. Weird. Why do they always look off?!"
