According to the Integrated Annual Report, Prince William had a distributable surplus of $30.9 million from the Duchy of Cornwall in the 2024-2025 fiscal year._
Prince William can use his Duchy of Cornwall earnings to support his charities and for his family's private expenses.The future king's earnings from the portfolio function as William's salary, and he pays annual income taxes on it.

Prince William's real estate portfolio has been viewed as a potential conflict of interest, given his advocacy for ending homelessness."Something that is beyond question, to my mind, is the need to dispense with the vast property portfolio that William will inherit," royal correspondent Jennie Bond told Daily Express.

"Nobody needs so many houses, castles and palaces," Jennie Bond continued. "And it is particularly offensive when juxtaposed with William's campaign to end homelessness."_
