Trump Reacts to Biden's Hollywood Deal with Shock
President Donald Trump appeared visibly stunned on Tuesday, February 4, when informed that his predecessor, former President Joe Biden, had signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), a major Hollywood talent agency. While speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump shook his head and responded, "You've got to be kidding. He signed with a talent agency?"
Expressing disbelief, Trump added, "I think he's got much bigger problems than that, but I wish him well."
His remarks suggest that he sees Biden's post-presidency career move as unexpected, "particularly given his recent political setbacks," one analyst quipped on X.

Trump Calls Biden's White House Legacy a 'Mess'
In a follow-up to his reaction, Trump took the opportunity to criticize Biden's tenure in the White House, asserting that his administration "inherited a mess." He did not specify what aspects of Biden's leadership he was referring to, but he assured reporters that his team was actively working to fix it."This place is a mess," Trump said, before adding, "But it's quickly being solved, the problem. We're going to make America great again."
The remarks align with Trump's broader critique of Biden's presidency, which he has frequently described as a period of "mismanagement" and decline.
Biden Joins Hollywood's Elite Representation
Creative Artists Agency (CAA) confirmed that Biden had rejoined the talent agency, which previously represented him between 2017 and 2020. CAA Co-chairman Richard Lovett praised Biden's legacy, stating, "President Biden is one of America's most respected and influential voices in national and global affairs."Lovett also highlighted Biden's "lifelong commitment to public service" and his messages of "unity, optimism, dignity and possibility."
The move suggests Biden may focus on speaking engagements, book deals, and public appearances as he transitions out of politics, which is the trajectory former Democratic Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama also took in their post-presidencies.
Biden's Past Work with CAA and Future Endeavors
During his earlier partnership with CAA, Biden released his memoir Promise Me, Dad in 2017 and embarked on the successful "American Promise" speaking tour, which reportedly sold more than 85,000 tickets nationwide. His return to the agency indicates a continuation of such engagements, potentially including new book projects or media appearances.
Notably, CAA also represents former President Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama, placing Biden among a group of high-profile political figures leveraging Hollywood's entertainment and media networks.
