"I think that's something the press are having a hard time with. We are genuinely having so much fun, and this is why you're seeing them obsess over Elon Musk and President Trump and they're trying so hard but failing to drive a wedge in that relationship because they love those sensational stories of trying to pin people against each other," the New Hampshire native claimed.
Although being the leader of the nation is a tough job, Leavitt emphasized how Trump is focused on the role. "As staff and the president himself is having the time of his life, I mean he loves doing these Oval Office press conferences," she added.

Despite the criticism, the 27-year-old made it clear traditional outlets are not being pushed out.
"The legacy media is still in the briefing room," Leavitt explained. "I take questions from CNN just as much as I take questions from our great conservative friends who don't have seats in that room, that have to stand on the sides for hours just to have a spot in there."

The press liaison has been extremely candid in her Q&A sessions. When pressed about the announcement of Amy Gleason taking the reigns as the "acting" administrator of DOGE on Wednesday, February 26, Leavitt seemed to lose her cool.
"I know everybody's very interested in her name and who she is and what she does. There's a lot of people who work for the federal government," she pointed out. "They're just trying to do their jobs. And, you know, that's what she's doing."

"Everybody knew and we said who she was to all of you," Leavitt spat at the journalists. "Because you are hounds in the media who are so obsessed with this for some reason!"
The civil servant doubled down on her confusion about why people are so concerned over who is running the agency. "So, in the effort of transparency, we told you who that person is. There are so many bigger things in the world than who the DOGE administrator is!" she exclaimed.

"But for some reason, everybody in the press corps is so obsessed with this that you were incessantly asking! So, we thought, okay, we will be transparent. So now you know who it is!" Leavitt said.
While she may have problems with members of the media, the Saint Anselm College alum recently revealed she has no problem defending her boss because of what an honest man she thinks he is. "The president speaks the truth. He speaks his mind directly — it's just my job to prepare and figure out what the truth is versus what the fake news narratives are and then just bring that to the podium," she explained in a recent Fox interview.
