In 2023, after Joe Biden, along with his son and former addict Hunter Biden, departed the White House for the July Fourth holiday, a small bag of cocaine was found in a cubby on the historic property.Following the shocking discovery, the Secret Service conducted an investigation into the matter. The case was open and closed within two weeks.
"Without physical evidence, the investigation will not be able to single out a person of interest from the hundreds of individuals who passed through the vestibule where the cocaine was discovered," the FBI said at the time.

Joe Biden's White House staunchly fought back against the accusations the drugs belonged to anyone in his family."To ask that question is actually incredibly irresponsible," White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a July 7, 2023, media gathering when asked about who placed the substance at the president's residence. "The president thinks it's incredibly important to get to the bottom of this."

In response, Donald Trump made bold statements about Joe Biden and Hunter Biden's alleged involvement in the drugs being found at the White House."Well, either Joe or Hunter. Could be Joe, too," the Republican leader explained in a February interview about who he thought placed the substance there.
Donald alleged that "hundreds and even thousands" of fingerprints were originally found on the bag of cocaine. However, he claimed they were wiped clean with "the strongest form of alcohol."
"When they went to look at it, it was absolutely stone cold, wiped dry," the businessman alleged. "I think I'm going to look into that because it was…bad stuff happened there."
