Abuse allegations
In his upcoming memoir, "If You Would Have Told Me," John Stamos says that he was sexually abused when he was 10 or 11 years old. The "Full House" star claims that a former babysitter inappropriately touched him, but he didn't tell anyone what happened at the time. "I think I told myself, like, 'Ah, it's girls, man,'" he told People magazine while promoting the book. "It was like you're playing dead so they'll stop. But it wasn't totally aggressive. I don't know, it was not good." John said he thought about bringing up the abuse but wanted to wait for the right time. Still, he said he "shouldn't have had to deal with those feelings" as a young boy.

Book bombshells
Britney Spears' new memoir, "The Woman in Me," will be released later in October, but bombshells have already dropped. In the book, the pop star reveals that she had an abortion in 2000 after getting pregnant with Justin Timberlake's child. The *NSYNC singer, she writes, "definitely wasn't happy" and "didn't want to be a father." They were both just 19 years old at the time.
"He said we weren't ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young," she remembers. "I'm sure people will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have the baby. I don't know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it." In 2002, after three years together, Justin dumped her via text message. "I was comatose in Louisiana, and he was happily running around Hollywood," she shares, according to The New York Times. In the book, Brit also fesses up to making out with dancer Wade Robson at a bar one night, confirming the decades-long rumor that she cheated on Justin. He cheated on her too, though, she claims.
The "Toxic" singer goes on to admit that the ADHD medication Adderall was her "drug of choice" in the mid-2000s. "I never had a drinking problem," the pop star says while noting that she never hesitated to take Adderall. "[It] made me high, yes, but what I found far more appealing was that it gave me a few hours of feeling less depressed."

Baptism backlash
Kat Von D is opening up about the reaction to her recent baptism. "I know that a majority of my fans and my followers are not Christian, and so I know that it's a turn off to a lot of people," she said in a lengthy Instagram video. "You would think all the hate would be coming from people who are against religion or against Christianity. It was really the Christians who were the worst. It was really sad to see this critical display of judgment from Christians … because that isn't Christ-like to judge people or judge people's journey." The "negativity" from some anti-religion fans was nothing "compared to the criticism I got from Christians," she added, calling the response "awful."

One-woman man
Kody Brown had four wives when he made his reality TV debut. Fast forward to now, and the "Sister Wives" star has just one wife, Robyn Brown. It seems that things will stay that way, too. "I would never be interested in marrying again," he told Us Weekly, adding that he's "not a polygamist" anymore. Still, Kody plans to be an "advocate for plural marriage" and "marital freedom." "I've lost my religion, but I am still leaning on and working on and building my faith," he said.
Reflecting on how much his family has changed over the past two years, Kody said, "Robyn and I are experiencing a death — the death of our family [and] this big family picture. We have different emotions at different times. And I'll be really honest, that has been hard on our relationship. … Divorce changes you. So, there's a lot going on with me that Robyn has to use a lot of grace and forgiveness for, because I'm not myself. It's an experience that I did not expect in my life and [it has] shocked me how it's played out."
Elsewhere in the chat, Kody left the door open (on his end, at least) for possible reconciliations with two of his exes: Janelle Brown and Meri Brown.
Christine Brown, however, recently remarried. "I honestly haven't witnessed much of it," Kody said of her new relationship, adding that he and his ex "don't associate almost at all."
It's over
After more than five years of marriage and one child together, Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd are going their separate ways. The "Circles Around This Town" singer filed for divorce in Tennessee's Davidson County on Oct. 2, which she listed as their date of separation, Taste of Country reported on Oct. 17. Docs show Maren cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. She and the Grammy-nominated songwriter share 3-year-old son Hayes. Court papers indicate Maren is seeking joint custody and for the state to set child support.
Countdown begins…
Millie Bobby Brown isn't making "Stranger Things" fans happy after confessing that she can't wait for the show to end. The 19-year-old actress has portrayed Eleven on the Netflix series for seven years but recently told Glamour that she's ready to move on in order to focus on things she's actually "passionate about." The implication is that she isn't passionate about the sci-fi series, which keeps her from taking on other projects. "When you're ready, you're like, 'All right, let's do this. Let's tackle this last senior year. Let's get out of here,'" she said. "'Stranger Things' takes up a lot of time to film and it's preventing me from creating stories that I'm passionate about. So I'm ready to say, 'Thank you, and goodbye.'" Fans said Millie was "ungrateful" and "stupid." Yikes.
Legend lost
Burt Young — the former real-life boxer who went on to play Rocky Balboa's brother-in-law Paulie in the "Rocky" franchise — passed away in Los Angeles on Oct. 8, his daughter told The New York Times, noting that his cause of death is currently unknown. He was 83.
Burt, a former Marine, launched his acting career in the late '60s. He went on to appear in "M*A*S*H," "Little House on the Prairie," "Chinatown" and "Serpico." But it was his role in "Rocky" — for which he scored an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor — that made him a star.
Sylvester Stallone paid tribute to his former co-star on Instagram, writing, "To my Dear Friend, BURT YOUNG, you were an incredible man and artist, I and the World will miss you very much…RIP."
Other stars also publicly mourned Burt.
Hospitalized
Jana Kramer's "babymoon" didn't go as planned. With just weeks before she and fiancé Allan Russell welcome a child, the duo headed to Florida for some quality time. Instead, the country singer ended up in the hospital. "The back pain I've been dealing with for weeks wasn't just back pain. Lesson number one… don't just brush off pain, because it can be more serious than u think," she wrote on Instagram, adding that she was in pain while boarding the Florida-bound plane. "When we landed I just couldn't handle the pain anymore and I started to feel even more sick so we went to the hospital. Long story short it was a bad bacterial infection that got into the kidneys. This resulted in a 2-day stay in hospital and antibiotics because I let it get [past] where I should have."
Presidential ramifications
Cher might have a new address in 2024. In a wide-ranging interview with The Guardian, the singer said she'd be "horrified" if former President Donald Trump is re-elected. In fact, she'd move out of the country to escape him: "I almost got an ulcer the last time," she said. "If he gets in, who knows? This time I will leave."
Cher has long been critical of the former POTUS, and she's concerned what his presidency could mean for trans people. (Her son, Chaz Bono, is transgender.) "It's something like 500 [ant-trans-rights] bills they're trying to pass," she said. "I was with two trans girls the other night – and of course my own child is trans. I was saying, 'We've got to stand together.' I don't know what their eventual plan is for trans people. I don't put anything past them."
RIP
Suzanne Somers — who was best known for her work on TV shows including "Three's Company" and "Step By Step" as well as her Thighmaster commercials — passed away on Oct. 15 after a decades-long battle with breast cancer. She would have turned 77 the next day. In July, Suzanne confirmed that her breast cancer — which was originally diagnosed in 2000 — had come back again following previous recurrences. Her husband, Alan Hamel, read her a love poem before she died.
