It's over for a 'Dawson's Creek' star as his spouse of four years files for divorce: Splits of 2023

Joshua Jackson's marriage to Jodie Turner-Smith is over after four years and one child.

The "Queen & Slim" actress filed divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court, TMZ reported on Oct. 2, noting that she's asking for joint custody of their 3-year-old daughter, whom People magazine reported is named Juno Rose Diana Jackson. (The child's name had not previously been publicly disclosed.)

Jodie also asked the court to deny spousal support to her and the "Dawson's Creek" and "Fatal Attraction" actor, who wed in August 2019. The pair reportedly met at music star Usher's birthday party in 2018 and married the following year.

It's over for "Downton Abbey" star Hugh Bonneville and his wife of 25 years.

On Sept. 30, The Sun on Sunday reported that the couple were going their separate ways. "I can confirm that Hugh Bonneville and Lulu Williams have separated," a spokesman for the actor — who played Robert Crawley, the Earl of Grantham, in the "Downton Abbey" movies and TV show and also stars in the "Paddington" movie franchise — told the newspaper.

Actress Marin Hinkle — who most recently starred as Rose Weissman on "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" — is divorcing husband Randall Sommer after 25 years of marriage and one son together.

People magazine reported the news on Sept. 22, noting that in court documents, the actress — who also appeared on the hit sitcom "Two and a Half Men" for 12 seasons — listed their date of separation as "TBD" and asked a judge to "reserve" the issue of spousal support "for future determination" and to keep assets or earnings accumulated before and after the separation as separate property.  

"After careful consideration we have decided to end our marriage. We remain caring friends with mutual respect, admiration and love for one another and for our son," the former couple told People in a statement.

"Real Housewives of Potomac" stars Mia Thornton and Gordon Thornton have split after 11 years of marriage.

"Like all marriages, ours has had its ups and downs," Mia told People magazine in a statement on Sept. 29. "At this time, Gordon and I are separated, but my family is my number one priority, and I am committed to doing whatever it takes to make sure we are OK. We ask that you respect our privacy and give us the time and space to figure things out."

On Sept. 18 — a week and a half after actor Danny Masterson was sentenced to 30 years in prison on two rape convictions — his wife, Bijou Phillips, filed for divorce in California after supporting him through two trials.

The news came just days after sources claimed to multiple outlets that the actress — who's the daughter of the Mamas & the Papas leader John Phillips and actress Genevieve Waite — had no plans to end her 11-year marriage to the "That '70s Show" star, with whom she shares a 9-year-old daughter.

"Ms. Phillips has decided to file for divorce from her husband during this unfortunate time. Her priority remains with her daughter," Bijou's attorney told TMZ, adding, "This period has been unimaginably hard on the marriage and the family. Mr. Masterson was always present for Ms. Phillips during her most difficult times of her life. Ms. Phillips acknowledges that Mr. Masterson is a wonderful father to their daughter."

TMZ further reported that Bijou listed their date of separation as "TBD" and is asking for spousal support, attorneys fees and for her legal name to be restored to Bijou Phillips. She's also asking for legal and physical custody of their daughter with visitation for Danny.

On Sept. 22, DailyMail.com reported on what it alleged are the two main reasons behind Bijou's filing.

A source told the outlet the actress still loves Danny and hopes his sentence will be reduced or even reversed. "[But] recently, friends and family have told her to be a mom first and to consider divorce because it really shows her daughter that eventually people need to be held accountable for what they do, even if it is someone they love," the source revealed. 

On top of that, "Bijou also is doing it to protect her assets and protect her future," the source explained. "She doesn't want to lose money and land and housing over a future civil lawsuit against Danny. She is looking to protect her future and that is one big reason she has pursued divorce." 

But despite choosing to end their marriage, "Bijou will never say anything negative about Danny's parenting skills," the source added. "He is incredible in that department."

Rapper Jeezy and "The Real" host Jeannie Mai Jenkins are divorcing after two years of marriage and one child, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported on Sept. 15.

The music star filed for divorce on Sept. 14 in Atlanta. Court docs reveal the former couple had a prenup in place and that the rapper wants joint legal custody of their toddler daughter.

In the wake of the news, a source weighed in on the reasons for the split, telling "Entertainment Tonight" that the music star and the former "The Real" co-host weren't on the same page when it came to "certain family values and expectations." Added the source, "They had different views, and each felt like their needs weren't being completely met."

It's a split his fans didn't see coming.

After 27 years of marriage, it's over for Hugh Jackman, 54, and Deborra-lee Furness, 67.

The Australian stars announced the sad news on Sept. 15, telling People magazine in a statement: "We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.

"Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives."

They signed their remarks "Deb and Hugh Jackman" and further noted that "This is the sole statement either of us will make."

However, the following day, the Oscar-nominated actor told a TMZ videographer in New York City, "It's a difficult time. I appreciate your thoughts, thank you."

Custody will not be an issue in their divorce as both of their children — Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18 — are now adults.

According to a source who spoke to Page Six, Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Furness's split was "a long time coming," adding, "it happened a while ago. Friends and family knew about it." 

The source believes problems were most likely brewing even before the Tony Award winner returned to Broadway in February 2022 to star in "The Music Man" because "Deb wasn't at rehearsals very much" and "was even spotted snoozing during some of them" that she did attend.

The source further shared there was no third party involved and that the longtime loves had turned into "roommates."

An insider who spoke to DailyMail.com said something similar, explaining of Hugh and Deb, "They are forever linked, forever together with the children they have. But after the past few years, the love they had for each other turned more into a friendship which got broken during COVID, as the lockdown didn't help their marriage at all and really put a strain on their relationship."

According to DailyMail.com's insider, the stars "worked on it and couldn't get it back. The [current actors and writers] strikes haven't helped one bit [either], it got them in the same predicament as COVID did, to where they were just kicking the tires, and Hugh found it all to not have the same magic as they once had." Ultimately, the pair decided the "best option," the insider explained, was to separate as friends. "They will never talk negatively about each other, just time has passed for them and they are now accepting that fate."

On July 17 — a day after Ariana Grande was spotted at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in London without her wedding ring — TMZ reported that it was over for the Grammy winner and her husband of two years. Ariana and Dalton Gomez, a luxury real estate agent, quietly separated at the start of the year and were "heading toward divorce," a source told the webloid.

On Sept. 18, both Ariana and Dalton formally filed for divorce in a coordinated effort, TMZ reported, noting the former couple, who have a prenup, listed Feb. 20 as their date of separation. According to the webloid's reporting, "everything was worked out before going to the courthouse" and "Ariana will cut Dalton a check, and that will be that."

People magazine reported that distance was behind the split. "She was happy in Los Angeles for a couple of years. She wanted to make a life there with Dalton," an insider said. "He is super focused on his career and needs to live in Los Angeles. It's definitely been an issue for them. Dalton's career is demanding and he can't leave Los Angeles often. So when [Ariana] started filming 'Wicked' in England [in 2022], they were in for a long-distance marriage." However, the insider insisted, "Ari has nothing but kind words to say about Dalton. During their marriage, he was her No. 1 fan."

Days after the split news broke, it was revealed that Ariana had already moved on… with married "Wicked" co-star Ethan Slater. They reportedly met on set and started dating a few months before the Ariana-Dalton split was made public, according to TMZ. Ethan reportedly separated from his wife of five years, Lilly Jay, shortly before he starting seeing Ariana (more on this next).

On July 26 — days after his romance with "Wicked" co-star Ariana Grande was made public — Broadway star Ethan Slater filed to divorce his high school sweetheart and wife of four years, Lilly Jay, in New York.

After multiple reports surfaced speculating about whether Ethan was unfaithful and questioning the timing of his romance with Ariana — including many claiming Lilly was blindsided by the news — Lilly briefly spoke to a few outlets. "[Ariana's] the story really. Not a girl's girl," Lilly told Page Six. "My family is just collateral damage." She further told TMZ she's now "focused on my son [who was born in 2022] and doing my best to navigate a spotlight I have never wanted or experienced before," adding that she wanted to set the record straight after "watching with horror as stories are published speaking to my experience." Lilly continued, "I am asking for privacy and respect as an individual who is not in the entertainment industry and as a mom. I ask to be left alone to rebuild my life and raise the beautiful boy I gave birth to last year."

On July 27, DailyMail.com reported that, according to an insider close to the former couple, "Lilly hung out with Ethan and Ariana so many times" while visiting him in London when he started shooting "Wicked." "Ariana met their baby and even held him. They had dinners together in London — and Ariana told Lilly that she wanted to have a baby one day and that she couldn't wait to start a family." Lilly later learned following an April visit, the insider alleged, that Ethan had been having an affair with Ariana, adding that Lilly and the star of the "SpongeBob SquarePants" Broadway musical had decided to try to "put it behind them and work on their marriage."

She then, the insider claimed, later discovered that Ethan and Ariana's clandestine romance had continued behind her back. "[They] kept the affair going…" alleged the insider, who said Lilly believes Ethan was "starstruck" amid the glamour of being on a movie set with major celebrities for the first time. A second insider, however, told DailyMail.com that Ariana and Ethan "did not start dating until after he had separated from Lilly."

On Sept. 17, Teyana Taylor took to Instagram to announce that she and Iman Shumpert "are separated and have been for a while" now. "To be 1000% clear, 'infidelity' ain't one of the reasons for our departure. We are still the best of friends, great business partners and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our two beautiful children. Most importantly, we are FAMILY, and in the 10 years together, 7 years married, we ain't ever played with or about THAT," she wrote, adding that because they've kept their relationship issues private, they've "been able to successfully and peacefully separate."

She concluded by explaining that she decided to share the split news "because the narratives are getting a little out of hand and it's unfair to all parties involved." (Buzz had been growing online that Iman was cheating on her.)

The singer-actress and the former professional basketball player — who won season 30 of "Dancing With the Stars" in 2021 — tied the knot in 2016.

Karine Jean-Pierre — the first Black woman, the first immigrant woman and the first openly gay woman to serve as White House press secretary — and her partner of more than a decade, former CNN national correspondent Suzanne Malveaux, have separated.

Karine revealed the news while discussing their 9-year-old daughter, Soleil, during a Vogue interview that hit the internet on Sept. 7.

"I'm a single mom who is co-parenting this amazing kid," Karine told Vogue. "Our No. 1 priority is her privacy and to make sure we create an environment that's nurturing."

Karine and Suzanne met at the 2012 Democratic National Convention when Suzanne was covering the event for CNN and Karine was working for President Barack Obama's re-election campaign.

"We met at a donor party being held in a nightclub. I know it's a cliche, but the truth is, I spotted her across a crowded dance floor," Karine wrote in her memoir, "Moving Forward." They exchanged emails and went their first date two months later.

It's over for "Summer House" stars Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke.

"Entertainment Tonight" reported on Aug. 31 that the Bravo couple broke up and ended their engagement less than three months before their wedding date. (They were planning to tie the knot in November.)

Carl made the call — and cameras were rolling when he dumped Lindsay just two weeks after her bridal shower: "Carl told Lindsay he couldn't move forward with the wedding. The breakup was filmed and will most likely play out on the next season of 'Summer House,'" a source told "ET." 

On Sept. 14, Lindsay broke her silence about the breakup, writing on Instagram that she was grateful to her fans "for allowing me the space and time to process my emotions, heal, and grieve the loss of not only my relationship, but my friendship with someone I considered my best friend for 8 years." She further shared that her "entire life and future was ripped out from underneath me and I've had a hard time making sense of it all — with no answers or closure on why." 

"I feel humiliated by how it went down, and simultaneously heartbroken that it happened in the first place. My trust has been betrayed, and coming to terms with that has been difficult for me," she continued.

Lindsay also made it clear who did the dumping: "This was not my decision, and I do not agree with quitting a relationship (at this level) without trying everything possible first," she wrote. "I have spent the last couple of weeks finding my own closure and peace. I am forever grateful to my best friends who have not left my side, and have been picking up the pieces of my heart and life every day from the fallout."

The former couple's relationship was rife with drama from the beginning. They got engaged in the summer of 2022 after less than a year of dating, raising eyebrows among the cast amid fears they were moving too fast and sparking a rift between Lindsay and longtime best friend and co-star Danielle Olivera.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are divorcing.

On Sept. 3, TMZ reported that Joe had reached out to two Los Angeles-area divorce attorneys amid the breakdown of his four-year marriage to "Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner.

And on Sept. 5, People magazine confirmed that Joe filed for divorce in Miami, with his filing stating that "the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken." According to divorce documents, Joe and Sophie have a prenup in place that addresses their finances, though a judge will have to weigh in on custody of their two daughters.

On Sept. 6, the former couple shared a joint statement on Instagram that read, "Statement from the two of us: After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children."

Before Joe filed, sources told TMZ that the young couple — who married in 2019 — had been having "serious problems" for the previous six months. According to TMZ, the Jonas Brothers singer had been caring for their kids "pretty much all of the time" over the last three months despite being in the midst of a tour with his siblings.

Reports had emerged claiming the actress was more of a partier while Joe was a homebody, and that those differences led to clashes.

"Sophie feels like she's only just waking up to what her life and reality really is. She became famous at a very young age, then married and had kids at a young age and never really had the teenage years of sleeping around and just having carefree fun with friends," a source claimed to DailyMail.com. "She feels like her life has stalled after 'Game of Thrones' and so has her personal life. Since the kids came along, she's feeling trapped. She's the only person in her tight friendship group who is married with two children."

Sophie had been working in her native U.K. all summer, which influenced things further. "Now she feels that she wants to make up for the time she's lost as a young person. [Joe] wants a more settled life but she's not ready for that because she feels that she's not even had a teen or young adult life," the source added, further claiming that another point of contention was a clash over having more children. "Joe would like another kid, he's a real family man. But while Sophie's been in the U.K., she's also realized just how much she misses this country; it's the final nail in the coffin for them."

After more than two years of dating, Alessandra Ambrosio and Richard Lee's romance is over, DailyMail.com reported on Sept. 4, explaining that according to a source, the models have essentially split. 

"They have not been spending much time together this summer," the source explained. "She has been with pals and [her] kids, and he has been working so they have drifted apart and have not been dating for a while."

Could they get back together? According to the source, the Brazilian beauty "has always been really fond of him so maybe they will work it out, but who knows? They have been apart for months now, so it's not likely."

It's over — again — for former Bravo star Kim Zolciak-Biermann and her retired NFL player husband, Kroy Biermann, after 11 years of marriage and four children together.

On Aug. 24 — almost seven weeks after Kim filed to have her May divorce petition dismissed after she and Kroy decided they wanted to try "to make it work for the kids," a source told People magazine in July — the former athlete filed fresh divorce papers indicating that their reconciliation had failed.

Court docs show he's asking for sole legal and sole physical custody of their four children, as well as child support and alimony plus exclusive use of their marital residence, TMZ reported.

Kroy Biermann filed for divorce on Aug. 24 after his reconciliation with Kim Zolciak-Biermann failed.

Some history: Back on May 8, TMZ confirmed that the former "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star filed for divorce because her marriage was "irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation." She listed April 30 as their date of separation and asked the court for spousal support and sole physical custody of their four kids, with visitation for Kroy.

TMZ also obtained Kroy's initial divorce petition, which further indicated things were nasty: He was asking for sole legal and physical custody as well as possession of their Alpharetta, Georgia, home — which went into foreclosure in February — and for Kim to vacate the property. He also wanted her to maintain all financial documents including income records, tax records, expense records and more, which TMZ reported suggested a deep conflict over who's responsible for their financial problems.

Those money issues are significant: TMZ broke the news that Kim and Kroy owe the IRS $1.1M in unpaid taxes, interest and penalties from 2013, 2017 and 2018 as well as another $15K to the state of Georgia for unpaid taxes from 2018.

After the initial split news made headlines, a friend of Kim's told People magazine "the money [problem] has been a huge issue." Added the pal, "The million-dollar tax [payment] was just way too much pressure on them."

A different source told People that there were other issues as well: "There's no cheating on either side. The money has a lot to do with the split, but there were other factors [too]," the source said.

"The Real Housewives of Orange County" alum Alexis Bellino and fiancé Andy Bohn have split and ended their engagement, Page Six and People magazine confirmed on Sept. 5. The breakup comes almost three years after he proposed in December 2020 nearly two years after they went public as a couple.

"Drew and I have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple," Alexis told People in a statement. "Despite this, our love for each other remains strong, and we both sincerely wish nothing but the best for one another. We recognize that it's in our best interest to pursue separate paths. We kindly ask for your thoughts and prayers for both of our families as we navigate through this breakup, especially considering the recent loss of my mother." Alexis lost her mom in August.

On Aug. 25, People magazine confirmed that comedian Pete Davidson and actress Chase Sui Wonders had split after less than a year of dating. "He's single again," a source told the magazine, adding, "He's out and about and doing really well."

The news that the "Bodies Bodies Bodies" and "Bupkis" co-stars broke up came nearly two months after Page Six reported that the former "Saturday Night Live" star had checked into rehab while struggling with PTSD and borderline personality disorder, and that Chase was sticking by him as he sought treatment.

They were first romantically linked at the end of 2022.

"One Tree Hill" actress Sophia Bush is divorcing after 13 months of marriage. She filed to divorce Grant Hughes on Aug. 4, People magazine confirmed. "Sophia and Grant were friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service," a source close to the former couple told the magazine. "They continue to run their nonprofit together and remain good friends." The actress was previously married to former co-star Chad Michael Murray for five months in 2005.

Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef are divorcing after six years of marriage. The Puerto Rican Grammy winner and the Syrian-Swedish artist announced the news in a joint statement on July 6. "We have decided to end our marriage with love, respect and dignity for our children and honoring what we have experienced as a couple all these wonderful years," they told People magazine. "Our greatest desire now is to continue having a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centered on peace and friendship to continue the joint upbringing of our children, preserving the respect and love we have for each other."

On Aug. 31, TMZ reported that they'd reached a divorce settlement: Court documents showed the former couple entered into an uncontested written agreement to divide their property and marriage rights, including support payments. Details of the settlement, however, have not been publicly disclosed.

DailyMail.com published a report explaining more about why the men are divorcing. "Like many couples, Ricky and Jwan had an open relationship for most of their marriage and this worked for them, until it didn't," a source — described as a close friend of the singer — claimed. "That being said, neither of them fell in love with someone else. …  In the end they decided that it was best for them, their well being and for their kids if they end it amicably." The source added, "Ultimately, they fell out of love. Their passion turned into a friendship and the sex became barely non-existent."

Another alleged issue? The source claimed there was a "huge imbalance" between the men despite Ricky "always telling [Jwan that] was not the case … [but] you cannot really hold a candle to a husband who is a world famous millionaire worth over $100 million. Like in many marriages, Ricky was essentially the breadwinner while Jwan took care of the home and the kids while [Ricky] was busy doing what Ricky does. [However this did] also work well for them because they each played an important role." On top of that, the source said, "The fact that Jwan is 13 years younger didn't help. They were a generation apart and from different cultures."

According to DailyMail.com's source, Ricky and Jwan have a "tight prenup" in place. "Ricky will likely keep the house but Jwan will remain an important part of his life, and their kids' lives, moving forward. He will be taken care of forever and will not have to worry about his finances, at least until their children are all adults. Ricky knows the value of him being a father in their kids' lives," the source said.

The men share two children together: daughter Lucia, who was born in 2018, and son Renn, who arrived in 2019. Ricky is also a father to twin sons Matteo and Valentino, who were born via surrogate in 2008.

Britney Spears and husband Sam Asghari separated after 14 months of marriage, TMZ reported on Aug. 16. According to sources who spoke to the webloid, the couple — who started dating in 2016 after Sam, a model and fitness trainer who also acts, appeared in one of the pop star's music videos — got into a massive argument a week before the split news broke. Sam allegedly confronted Britney over rumors she'd cheated on him. TMZ's sources said Sam has moved out and is now living on his own. "It's only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce," said a source. That happened later the same day: "Entertainment Tonight" reported that Sam cited "irreconcilable differences" in his filing, cited July 28 as their date of separation and asked the court to award him spousal support and attorneys fees.

TMZ reported that Britney and Sam have a prenup that protects the singer's assets, but the webloid reported that "the likely end to the marriage will be a check from Britney to Sam that will settle things, at least financially." Divorce docs also hint at a potential prenup challenge, with Sam's attorney noting the actor-trainer "has yet to determine the full nature and extent of the separate property assets and obligations of each party" and that "there are various items of community and quasi-community assets and debts, the full nature and extent of which are unknown to [Sam] at this time."

According to TMZ, though Sam has publicly defended Britney from her critics while she was under a conservatorship led by her father and after it ended in late 2021, he's privately been frustrated with her allegedly erratic behavior.

Former child star Corey Feldman and his third wife, Courtney Anne Mitchell, have separated after nearly seven years of marriage, the "Stand By Me" and "The Goonies" actor announced on Aug. 7. "It is with great sadness that Courtney and I have made the decision to separate after many wonderful years together," the "Lost Boys" star told Page Six in a statement. "We have been through so much together and still have much love and respect for each other. There is no one to blame. This is a case of life becoming really hard, Courtney dealing with health issues, and two people who have grown apart and now find themselves at a crossroads."

Corey — who's been performing music with Courtney, who's in his band, for years, continued, "Due to Courtney's health concerns," which include chronic fatigue, "and the process of healing, we both feel it's not in her best interest to continue on [our current tour] Love Retours 23 at this time. On behalf of myself and my band, we all love her and ask for your prayers in wishing her a speedy recovery. We don't know what the future will hold, but we know that the love we have for each other is not going anywhere."

A month after former "Good Morning America" third-hour host Keke Palmer's long-term partner, Darius Jackson — with whom she welcomed a son earlier this year — made headlines for publicly mom-shaming her over an outfit she wore to an Usher concert, People magazine and "Entertainment Tonight" reported that the former Nickelodeon child star and the actor have split. "[They] called it quits shortly after … the Usher concert. Keke is focusing on her work and her 6-month-old son. [She] and Darius have been co-parenting, but for now, they aren't together," an "ET" source said. A People source, meanwhile, noted that Darius has "moved on" from the relationship. "You don't have to be in the same household to be good parents," the source added.

On Aug. 4, The Sun reported that, according to a source, Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton "were together for a long time but had grown apart" and quietly "split earlier this year." The insider went on to say that the "Bohemian Rhapsody" co-stars are "moving on with their lives and are busy with work."

Bachelor Nation stars Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick have ended their engagement of two years. The pair, who started dating in 2019, announced their breakup on Instagram on Aug. 6. "After sharing the news with family and close friends first, and taking the time to properly process it ourselves, we are saddened with heavy hearts to share that we have decided to end our engagement," they wrote in a joint statement. On March 24 — two days before their 12th wedding anniversary — Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon and former talent agent Jim Toth announced that their marriage was over. "We have some personal news to share… It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce," they said in a statement. "We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together." They continued, "Our biggest priority is our son [Tennessee] and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter. These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone's respect for our family's privacy at this time." 

A source further told People magazine of the news, "They really are the best of friends and this is such an amicable decision. They are so committed to co-parenting together. They are invested in their whole family and making this as smooth as possible for everyone."

On Aug. 3, a final divorce decree was submitted in the Circuit Court of Davidson County, Tennessee, confirming that the former couple — who had a prenup — had signed a marital dissolution agreement and agreed to a parenting plan for their 10-year-old son. Page Six later shared more details: Reese and Jim will share equal custody of their son and split his expenses 50-50. They agreed they will not pay each other spousal or child support because they each earn more than $100K a year. They further asked the court to excuse them from taking a parenting seminar because they were able to come to an amicable agreement and have been "effectively co-parenting" their son since they split in March. On top of that, Reese and Jim agreed to split up their art, furniture and other household items and keep their own cars and bank accounts; their properties have already been divided according to various trusts. They also signed an NDA ensuring their business and personal affairs will remain private.

Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and wife Sophie Gregoire have separated after 18 years of marriage and three children together, they announced on Aug. 2. "Hi everyone, Sophie and I would like to share the fact that after many meaningful and difficult conversations, we have made the decision to separate," the political leader wrote on Instagram, adding, "As always, we remain a close family with deep love and respect for each other and for everything we have built and will continue to build. For the well-being of our children, we ask that you respect our and their privacy. Thank you."

His office further told People magazine in a statement that the couple have "signed a legal separation agreement" and "worked to ensure that all legal and ethical steps with regards to their decision to separate have been taken, and will continue to do so moving forward." The statement continued, "They remain a close family and Sophie and the Prime Minister are focused on raising their kids in a safe, loving and collaborative environment. Both parents will be a constant presence in their children's lives and Canadians can expect to often see the family together." In fact, the family "will be together on vacation, beginning next week."

Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello announced their separation on July 17 following seven years of marriage. "We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives," they told Page Six in a statement. Whispers of trouble had emerged after Sofia headed to Italy to celebrate her 51st birthday on July 10 without the "True Blood" actor.

Two days after confirming their breakup, Joe filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences and listing July 2 as their separation date. TMZ reported that the legal documents confirmed he and Sofia have a prenup allowing for each to keep the assets they accumulated during their marriage. On July 26, Sofia filed her own paperwork, People magazine later reported, in which she asked the court to uphold their prenup and confirm that certain assets including jewelry, artwork and "other personal effects" would remain hers. The "Modern Family" star further claimed her earnings from before and during their marriage as her assets.

The pair have already settled custody of their dog: On Aug. 1, DailyMail.com reported that Sofia agreed to relinquish custody of Bubbles, the Chihuahua she and Joe adopted together after they tied the knot. "Sofia loves Bubbles and wants her to be happy which is precisely why she's letting Joe have custody. He said Sofia has the biggest heart and would never do anything to intentionally hurt him or Bubbles," said a source close to the "True Blood" alum, adding that the actor has said "he couldn't imagine life without his dog and never knew that kind of love" before she came into his life.

Hours after Sofia Vergara and Joe Maganiello's divorce news broke, DailyMail.com reported that, according to its sources, the stars were initially drawn to each other because they're opposites but that their "different attitudes" are eventually what caused them to draft apart. "Joe is a big kid, he loves playing Dungeons & Dragons, he loves wrestling, he is all about video games, superhero movies, comic books, going to concerts, huge NFL fan. He chases fun," explained a source. This was "immediately an attraction for Sofia who is completely the opposite," added the source. Eventually, the source added, "they just got annoyed with each other, choosing work over hanging out. Then bit by bit, they stopped wanting to be together and stopped hanging out because something so little would often trigger an attitude that would bug them," and that became "extremely draining" for their relationship.

TMZ further reported that another issue the couple had concerned children: Joe wanted them, and Sofia — who has an adult son from her first marriage — did not. On July 20, Page Six also reported that children were a significant issue in the split: Joe's desire to be a father had intensified in recent years, a source close to the actor said. Sofia — though she may have been open to having kids when they wed in 2015 — may have changed her mind, Page Six reported, after enduring a lengthy court battle with former fiancé Nick Loeb that didn't end until 2021 over custody of two frozen embryos they created when they were together.

On July 18, a source told DailyMail.com that "of course the fact that Sofia is not sober had an impact on their marriage," adding that Joe — who got sober in the early 2000s after years of abusing alcohol — "did not think that he was going to change her but he also didn't think about the implications this could have on their marriage." A different insider, however, told DailyMail.com that Sofia "could not have been more supportive" of Joe's sobriety.

While performing in London on July 28, singer Bebe Rexha confirmed that her three-year romance with cinematographer Keyan Safyari was over. While introducing her song "Atmosphere," the Grammy nominee told the crowd, "Now I just went through a breakup so I might get a little emotional, so you need to help me here," E! Online reported.

The news came a few weeks after Bebe posted then deleted a screenshot of a text message seemingly sent by Keyan in which he was critical about her weight gain. In the message, he said he loved Bebe but wanted to be honest and cited a conversation they'd had, writing, "Would you rather I lied to you? You gained 35 pounds obviously you gained weight and your face changes? Should I just pretend it didn't happen and that it's ok? Come on I gain 3 pounds and you call me chubbs and fat. Doesn't mean you don't love me." Keyan further wondered if the Grammy-nominated singer was "finding reasons" to split up. It's over for Courtney Stodden and Chris Sheng after a two-year engagement. "Courtney is now a single woman," the star's rep told Page Six, adding, "She is looking forward to telling her story." It's over for Chase Chrisley and fiancée Emmy Medders. The "Chrisley Knows Best" star confirmed his split on his Instagram Story on July 25 after fans noticed that he and Emmy — who got engaged in October 2022 after nearly three years of dating — had deleted photos of one another on their respective social media accounts. "Everybody has been asking a lot of questions regarding Emmy and myself. We both agreed to part ways and move on with our lives separately. Thank you for respecting our privacy," Chase wrote.

NeNe Leakes and Nyonisela Sioh — the first man she publicly dated following late husband Gregg Leakes' death in 2021 — are not currently together, the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum revealed on former "RHOA" producer Carlos King's "Reality with the King" podcast. "Today, we are taking a break. We've been taking a break. [There are] things I'm not happy with, things he's not happy with. It's just not working at the moment," she said on the podcast's July 25 episode, adding that Nyonisela is "single" now "so if any of the ladies out there want to holla at him, go right ahead." Tina Knowles-Lawson — the mother of music stars Beyonce and Solange — filed to divorce her second husband, actor Richard Lawson, on July 26. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and listed July 25 as their date of separation. The couple were married for eight years.

In her divorce docs, Tina asked the court to terminate its ability to award spousal support to either party and indicated that she wants her name restored to Celestine Knowles. The fashion designer was previously married to music manager Mathew Knowles and Richard was previously wed to Denise Gordy, with whom he shares actress daughter Bianca Lawson.

On July 25, People magazine confirmed that music stars Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro had recently split, reporting that "despite the love and respect the singers have for one another, they have both agreed to end their engagement."

The following day — amid speculation that cheating played a role in the split — Rauw confirmed the breakup news on his Instagram Story, writing in Spanish, "Yes, a few months ago Rosi and I ended our engagement. There are thousands of problems that can cause a breakup, but in our case, it was not because of third parties or infidelity. Country music duo Kat & Alex — Kat Luna and Alex Georgia — took to Instagram on July 17 to share a joint statement announcing that they're going their separate ways following more than two years of marriage: "As we are writing this, our hearts are heavy to have to make this announcement. After four years of love and music, we have mutually decided to part ways both musically and romantically. We are so incredibly grateful for the time God has given us together with not only each other, but with y'all. Life isn't always a perfectly straight road, and we are learning every day how to navigate it. "Entertainment Tonight" confirmed on July 19 that Bella Hadid quietly split from her boyfriend of nearly three years, art director Marc Kalman, sometime earlier in 2023. "They were very in love, but the relationship ultimately ran its course and they decided to end things," a source said, adding that the breakup was "amicable."

Tony, Grammy and Emmy winner Billy Porter and his husband, a creative director, have split, the actor's rep announced on July 5. "I can confirm that Billy Porter and his husband Adam Smith have made the sad decision to end their marriage after six years," the "Pose" star's publicist told People magazine. "The decision was an amicable and mutual one and was made after much consideration. They continue to love and support each other as they embark on this next chapter."

It's over for Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky. On July 3, People magazine broke the news that the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star and the founder of luxury real estate brokerage had separated after 27 years of marriage. "Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof," a source close to the pair told the magazine, adding that the former couple — who share three daughters (Kyle also has another daughter from her first marriage) — "remain amicable as they figure out what's next for them and their family."

Hours later, the Bravo stars shared a statement on their Instagram accounts. "In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding divorcing are untrue," they wrote. "However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously." They continued, "There has been no wrongdoing on anyone's part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative."

The last part of the statement could be a nod to rumors concerning the nature of Kyle's relationship with country music singer Morgan Wade, Page Six reported.

Kat Graham took to Twitter on July 12 to announce that she and cinematographer Darren Genet ended their engagement earlier this year. "After many years together, Darren and I have chosen to no longer be together. The engagement ended a few months ago. He's a great guy and we wish each other nothing but the most happy and beautiful life," the "Vampire Diaries" alum wrote.

In a nearly three-hour interview with The New York Times that was published on July 5, former two-term New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and his wife, Chirlane McCray, announced that they've separated after 29 years of marriage. They explained that they began considering splitting two months earlier. "You can feel when things are off," Bill — who shares two adult children with Chirlane — said, "and you don't want to live that way." However, they said they are not filing for divorce and plan to continue living in the same townhouse in Brooklyn's Park Slope neighborhood. 

Both Bill and Chirlane — who came out as a lesbian in the '70s but later fell for Bill in the early '90s ("I didn't think, 'Oh, now I'm attracted to men. I was attracted to Bill. He felt like the perfect person for me. For two people who look so different, we have a lot in common. We are a very conventional, unconventional couple," she later told Essence magazine) — also said they're planning to date other people despite their living arrangement. Chirlane jokingly asked the newspaper to print their phone numbers to help them meet potential paramours while Bill — who said he doesn't plan to use online dating apps — quipped, "Can I put a picture from the gym in there?"

After 17 years of marriage, Dean McDermott on June 17 announced that his marriage to Tori Spelling was over. Dean shared the news with a post on Instagram before deleting it hours later. It read in part, "It's with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways, and start a new journey of our own."

However, a source insisted to Us Weekly that the pair — who previously went through rough patches including a cheating scandal in 2014 — are not over. "Tori and Dean are not getting a divorce," the source told Us. "Tori and Dean have been better than ever" recently, the source continued, adding that "they've had their ups and downs like any couple, but [they] have continued working on their marriage through couple's counseling. They love each other and are not going to split." According to the source, "Friends suspect that Dean posted that because he and Tori may have gotten into a big blowout fight last night. He obviously regretted it, so he deleted the post."

But then on June 21, a source told People magazine that Dean meant what he wrote. "[Dean] 100% wants to get out of the marriage. He took down the post because Tori didn't want him to keep it up. But he's packing his bags and is 100% serious about it," the source said. According to the source, Dean is still living with Tori and hasn't moved out of their family home because he hasn't found an apartment he can afford, but "He can't take it anymore. He told her he's done."

Days later on June 26, a close friend of the couple told DailyMail.com that Dean feels like he's done everything he can to make Tori happy. "Dean has changed and worked very hard to be the husband she needed him to be but she is still demanding and entitled. Nothing he does or has done will ever be good enough for her," the source said, adding that Tori's history of using "their marital problems to stay relevant" and in the public eye "really took a toll on Dean."

It's over for Avril Lavigne and Tyga after about four months of dating, TMZ reported on June 20. According to the webloid, the "Sk8ter Boi" singer and the rapper broke up via mutual decision a few weeks earlier as their romance "just ran its course," TMZ wrote. The music stars were first spotted together in February, the same month news of Avril's split from fiancé Mod Sun broke.

It's over for "Selling Sunset" boss Jason Oppenheim and model Marie Lou Nurk after 10 months of dating. On May 31, the founder of luxury real estate brokerage The Oppenheim Group announced on his Instagram Story that "while we still love and care about each other very much the distance between us has proven to be too great a challenge to overcome. We remain close friends and continue to talk often and support each other and we want the very best for one another. We thank everyone for their support throughout our relationship."

Marie had moved back to Paris, where she works, and was splitting time between the City of Light and Los Angeles, where she and the Netflix star had recently moved into a home together. The former couple met while vacationing in Greece in the summer of 2022.

Barely a month after Taylor Swift and The 1975 frontman Matty Healy were confirmed to be dating in the wake of her April breakup from actor Joe Alwyn, the musicians' nascent romance ended, TMZ reported on June 5. According to the webloid, a friend close to the situation confirmed that Taylor was "single" again, though didn't explain why the pair — who were spotted together on her "Eras" tour as well as in Nashville and New York City during May — had ended things. People magazine also confirmed a split. "She had fun with him, but it was always casual," a source told the magazine. "They are no longer romantically involved."

A source told "Entertainment Tonight" that the pair were simply both "extremely busy" and said they "realized they're not really compatible with each other," adding that "Taylor's friends want what's best for her and aren't shocked that their relationship fizzled out since she recently got out of a long-term relationship."

Page Six, meanwhile, reported that Taylor's brief romance with Matty was simply her way of having some fun following her "stifling" relationship with Joe. "She's allowed to let off some steam and [sow] her oats afterwards without people claiming first that she's 'head over heels' and then that she's 'breaking up' with the guy. It's not a breakup. It's a natural evolution of a fun little thing whose moment is over," said an insider, who further claimed, "She will not be writing albums about this one. It was a summertime thing. Does everyone have amnesia about [her whirlwind summer 2016 fling with] Tom Hiddleston? Jesus Christ."

Throwing a wrench in all the reporting, however, was Instagram gossip account Deux Moi, which in the wake of split reports claimed the pair were not over and would likely spend time together again once their "logistical problems" — Taylor was continuing to tour in America while The 1975 had tour obligations in Europe — came to their natural conclusions.

Country music singer Jimmie Allen made two major announcements on April 21: He and wife Alexis Gale called it quits — and they're expecting their third child together amid their split. The former couple — who married in 2020 — were already parents to toddlers Naomi and Zara at the time they shared their breakup news. "After much thought and reflection in recent months, Lex & I have made the decision to separate," Jimmie wrote on Instagram. "As we navigate this life change, we can also share that we will be welcoming another child together later this year."

In May — hours after Jimmie' former day-to-day manager filed a civil lawsuit against him for sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, sex trafficking and emotional distress that allegedly occurred between 2020 and 2022 (he's denied the claims, insisting it was consensual) — it was confirmed that the singer and his estranged wife both filed for divorce on April 28, which they also cited as their separation date. Jimmie asked for joint custody of their girls while Alexis asked that the children primarily live with her; she also requested alimony.

Days later on May 18, Jimmie took to Instagram with a public mea culpa to his pregnant wife. "I want to publicly apologize to my wife Alexis for humiliating her with my affair. I'm embarrassed that my choices have brought shame on her. That's something that she did not deserve at all," he began, adding, "I also want to apologize to my children for being a poor example of a man and a father. I'm working on becoming a better person that my kids can be proud of. My goal is to be better than the generation before me." He ended his post, "The business takes so much from you. It's full of temptations that can cripple you and ruin everything you've built. I'm ashamed that I wasn't strong enough to withstand them. I will no longer be a victim of my weaknesses. I challenge everyone to seek help when they need it. Do not be afraid of your weakness, surround yourself with people that WILL help you. Be Blessed."

In June, a second woman filed a lawsuit against Jimmie alleging he sexually assaulted her in 2022.

On May 16, Colorado congresswoman Lauren Boebert announced that her 18-year marriage is over. "It is with a heavy weight on my heart that I have filed for divorce from my husband," Jayson Boebert, the Republican lawmaker said in a statement, as reported by the Colorado Sun. "I am grateful for our years of marriage together and for our [four] beautiful children, all of whom deserve privacy and love as we work through this process. I've always been faithful in my marriage, and I believe strongly in marriage, which makes this announcement that much more difficult," she continued, adding, "This is truly about irreconcilable differences. I do not intend to discuss this matter any further in public out of respect for our children, and will continue to work hard to represent the people of Colorado's 3rd Congressional District."

More headline-making details then emerged. DailyMail.com reported that Lauren, who cited April 25 as their date of separation, is asking for primary custody of their sons — one of whom is expecting a baby with his girlfriend — as well as spousal and child support from Jayson. The outlet also reported that the politician attempted to have her husband served with divorce papers at their home but that he refused to take them from a process server, who in court docs stated that upon approaching Jayson, he observed "that he was drinking a tall glass of beer and cleaning a gun that was sitting on a table." According to the process server, "Once he learned that he was being served with Dissolution of Marriage papers he was extremely angry. I tried to hand him the documents but [he] did not take them. He started yelling and using profanities and told me that I was trespassing and that he was calling the Sheriff's Office. I told him I was leaving the documents on the chair outside the door, he closed the door then let the dogs out."

Jayson responded to DailyMail.com, saying in a text to the outlet, "I am torn by this a very sad thing. A horrible moment in my life. I love her too much to say anything bad about her. She is the mother of my children and my partner for the last 20 years. Please just let me have some peace."

The former couple met in 2003 when Lauren was 16 and working at a Burger King where Jayson, then 22, came for lunch. They wed in 2006.

Page Six reported on May 17 that scandalized "Vanderpump Rules" duo Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss officially called it quits just two months after their affair sent shockwaves through the Bravoverse. "Raquel dipped out. Sandoval is not the one for her," a source said. It's Tom's second big breakup this year: In early March, Ariana Madix gave him the boot following a decade of coupledom after she caught him cheating with her then-bestie. On the May 17 episode of "Watch What Happens Live," Ariana said she didn't believe the Tom-Raquel breakup report. "I don't buy that at all. [Raquel] was sending letters to my house [that Tom co-owns] like four days ago."

On May 17, a rep for music star Billie Eilish addressed speculation that the Grammy winner and The Neighbourhood frontman Jesse Rutherford, who's a decade her senior, had broken up after less than a year of dating. "We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends," Billie's rep confirmed to Page Six. The pair's new romance was confirmed in October 2022 and the following month, they made their red carpet debut as a couple.

"The Bear" and "Shameless" actor Jeremy Allen White's wife, actress Addison Timlin, filed for divorce on May 11 after more than three years of marriage. The pair, who've known each other since they were teens, wed in 2019 after welcoming daughter Ezer the previous year. Their second daughter, Dolores, arrived in 2020.

Kevin Costner's second wife, Christine Baumgartner, filed for divorce on May 1 after 18 years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences," TMZ reported the following day. She and Kevin both asked the court for joint custody of their three children. Christine did not ask for spousal support in her filing; Kevin's lawyer, Laura Wasser, indicated in the "Yellowstone" actor's divorce response that support would be paid according to the terms of their prenup.

The actor's rep issued a cryptic statement when the split news broke, saying, "It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action. We ask that his, Christine's and their children's privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time."

Shannen Doherty is ending her 11-year marriage to her third husband, photographer Kurt Iswarienko — and it's incredibly acrimonious. On April 21, the "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Charmed" actress — who has stage 4 breast cancer — filed for divorce in Los Angeles with the help of famed attorney Laura Wasser. According to TMZ, the former couple — who split in January — do not have a prenup; Shannen is asking for Kurt to pay spousal support but does not want a judge to award him any spousal support.

"Divorce is the last thing Shannen wanted. Unfortunately, she felt she was left with no other option," the actress's publicist, Leslie Sloane, told TMZ, pointedly adding some context to the breakup, "You can contact Kurt's agent, Collier Grimm at PICTUREKID as she is intimately involved."

It's over for Cher and music executive Alexander Edwards — who's 40 years the Oscar winner's junior — after six months of dating. The couple went public with their romance in November 2022 and on May 1, TMZ and Us Weekly reported that they'd recently broken up. "Their relationship was real and they split a few weeks ago," a source told Us, adding "There's no bad blood between them and they're on good terms."

Music star Halsey and boyfriend Alev Aydin, a writer-producer, have split after more than three years together, Billboard confirmed on April 25. The news emerged after the singer filed a court petition to request primary physical custody of their son, Ender. Halsey is requesting joint legal custody of the toddler with visitation for Alev. Sources told Billboard the breakup was "amicable" and that the legal filing was just a "formality" so that Halsey can freely travel with Ender when she tours.

On April 21, model Toni Garrn announced that she and "Magic Mike" actor Alex Pettyfer had called it quits after nearly three years of marriage and one child together. "Alex and I have made the very difficult decision to divorce," Toni wrote in an Instagram Story. "We will continue our relationship as friends and coparents to our angel [daughter] Luca. Please respect our privacy during this sensitive time. Thank you."

On April 8, "Entertainment Tonight" confirmed that Taylor Swift and her boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn, quietly called it quits sometime a few weeks earlier. "It was not dramatic. … The relationship had just run its course. It's why [he] hasn't been spotted at any shows," a source said, referencing the pop star's The Eras Tour, which launched in mid-March. (People magazine also confirmed the breakup news.) The duo were rumored to be either engaged or secretly married, but Page Six reported that they had not, in fact, tied the knot.

So what went wrong? The breakup was largely caused by "differences in their personalities," a source close to the former couple told People, explaining that "the differences in their personalities [became] harder to ignore after years together. They've grown apart." Taylor's enormous stardom was also a factor, the source added: "Joe has struggled with Taylor's level of fame and the attention from the public." Former "America's Next Top Model" winner and "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Eva Marcille filed to divorce Michael Sterling, a lawyer, on March 23 following four years of marriage. "This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but sometimes life takes your journey in a direction you were not expecting," Eva told People magazine in a statement. "Our children remain our biggest priority and the eight and half years we have spent together will always be cherished. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time."

Michael issued a statement of his own after Eva filed, telling theJasmineBRAND, "I am not going to lose my wife. I am going to fight for her with every fiber in my being. I love her and I plan to show her how much I love her and that our love is strong enough to get to the other side."

After 11 years of marriage, Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean and wife Rochelle McLean have separated. However, the parents of two explained that it's only a temporary split. "Marriage is hard, but worth it. The businessman, a venture partner at Westerly Winds, listed "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split and Jan. 2, 2023, as their date of separation. He's asking the court for joint physical and legal custody of their 3-year-old daughter and to not award spousal support to Joanna.

On March 23, The Sun reported that Colin Farrell and girlfriend Kelly MacNamara have ended their romantic relationship after five years together. The Oscar-nominated actor and Kelly, a personal assistant for U2 guitarist The Edge, were ultimately done in by their hectic work schedules. "Colin is the man of the moment in film thanks to his role in 'The Banshees Of Inisherin.' He spent months working on that along with the last Batman blockbuster, where he played Penguin. Colin's schedule took its toll on his relationship with Kelly and they quietly called it quits," a source told the U.K. tabloid. In a cover story for the April issue of Harper's Bazaar, which hit the internet on March 23, the Oscar-winning actress confirmed that she and director Elijah Allan-Blitz have split. On March 3, news broke revealing that Kellyanne Conway — a longtime advisor to former President Donald Trump — and attorney George Conway, who's long been critical of Trump even when his wife was in the White House, are divorcing after nearly 22 years of marriage. As season 10 of the series — which debuted in February 2023 — kicked off focusing on recently divorced Tom Schwartz's flirtation with Raquel, who was previously engaged to James Kennedy, news broke on March 3 revealing that Raquel actually had an affair with the other Tom: Tom Sandoval. TMZ reported that the fling resulted in the implosion of his 10-year romance with Ariana, who ended their relationship after learning about her live-in love's betrayal. Multiple media outlets later reported that Tom and Raquel started hooking up in the summer of 2022 and that Ariana discovered the affair when she saw inappropriate text messages, photos and videos exchanged between Tom and Raquel.

It's over for Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun. On Feb. 21, TMZ broke the news that the "Sk8er Boi" singer recently ended their romance and engagement of about a year. According to the webloid, the couple — who confirmed they were more than friends in early 2021 — have been off and on "over the last few months" and trying "to make things work" but ultimately realized "it just wasn't right." A source later told People magazine the former collaborators "have been on and off for the past two months, but are no longer together as a couple." Avril's rep confirmed the breakup news to multiple media outlets but Mod Sun's rep insisted "they were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour so if anything has changed, that's news to him." Speculation that cheating was involved emerged after Avril was photographed hugging musician Tyga on Feb. 19, but it's not accurate, a source told People, insisting, "There was absolutely no third party involved in the split."

Bam Margera's second wife, Nicole "Nikki" Boyd, filed for legal separation from the former "Jacka**" star on Feb. 15, TMZ and People magazine confirmed. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and listed their breakup date as Sept. 14, 2021. Nikki, who married Bam in 2013, is asking a judge to grant her legal and physical custody of their 5-year-old son, Phoenix, with visitation for Bam. She also wants spousal support and attorney's fees. "Nikki Margera felt compelled to file for legal separation from her husband, Bam Margera, due to his continuing drug and alcohol abuse, erratic behavior, and due to his failure to provide support for her and their son," Nikki's attorney told People. "Nikki has put everything she has into trying to get Bam to stay sober, and to trying to preserve her family."

The last straw for Nikki? Her attorney told TMZ that NIkki's filing came after Bam visited their son. She was present and believes the former pro skateboarder was acting inappropriately and was under the influence at the time, even though he claimed to be sober.

It's over for pop star Camila Cabello and Lox Club co-founder Austin Kevitch eight months after their romance first made headlines. "Camila and Austin broke up," a source confirmed to "Entertainment Tonight" after "it was announced in a Lox Club newsletter that Austin is single again." According to the source, the "Havana" singer and the dating app entrepreneur split because they were just too busy to make it work. "There's no bad blood between them and they're both just very busy in their careers," explained the source. "It became difficult to balance that and their relationship."

A few days later, a People magazine source echoed that the makeup mogul "is not with Travis right now," though "they have split several times in the past and this is probably not the end of their relationship." The People insider went on to shed some light on what went wrong: "Kylie is very focused on her kids and her business. She is not a big partier. Travis is the opposite. He likes to party. On Jan. 2, Page Six broke the news that, according to a source, Drake Bell and his wife of four years, Janet Von Schmeling, had separated after she "had enough" of his bad behavior and moved back to Florida with their young son. A People magazine source later confirmed that the model-actress left the former Nickelodeon child star "a few months" earlier. (Both People and Page Six reported that in the wake of the breakup, Drake sought treatment for substance abuse issues. His run-ins with the law — including two DUIs — have been well documented over the years.)

On the Jan. 8 episode of her "Intimate Knowledge" podcast, Meghan King revealed that she's no longer seeing the mystery man she codenamed Kenny late last year. "[He] played me like a fiddle and I'm not happy about it," she said, explaining that she found out from "random people" on Instagram that Kenny "had a girlfriend the whole time" they were together. Initially, the "Real Housewives of Orange County" alum didn't believe the rumors about Kenny, but she broke up with him anyway in December when she "had this realization that this is not going to work between us." Two weeks later, Kenny's "devastated" girlfriend contacted her directly to reveal that they were together after he spent Thanksgiving with Meghan and her family. The mother of three went on to say that there were "signs looking back" that Kenny was shady, but she "didn't really like him enough to care to look at these signs."

On Jan. 9, Page Six broke the news that Bachelor Nation's Corinne Olympios — who competed for Nick Viall's heart on season 21 of "The Bachelor" in 2017 — had split from her boyfriend of nearly a year, music manager Jerry Morris. "They were both very busy with their own careers," a source said, adding that the duo also struggled with "trust issues that were weighing heavily on their relationship." Said the source, "There seemed to be a lot of factors that played into [the breakup], but Corinne is doing great and excited to move onto the next chapter."
