Gabrielle Cuccia discussed the Pentagon's attempt to limit press access following a series of leaks. In the process, she took aim at Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth."The Commander-in-Chief welcomes the hard questions… and yes, even the dumb ones," Cuccia wrote on her personal Substack. "Why won't the Secretary of Defense do the same?"
The television personality titled her piece "The Secretary of Defense-sive."

Gabrielle Cuccia previously worked at the White House during the first Donald Trump administration, but her time covering the Pentagon ended abruptly in his second term after she shared a critical take on Pete Hegseth."The Pentagon stopped all press briefings moving forward and simultaneously decided to lock one of the doors that connects journalists to the DoD's Public Affairs Officials, a door that has always been wide open," Cuccia shared.
"But let's be honest — since January, the real leaks from the Pentagon haven't come from the press. They've come from Hegseth's own team and other senior officials," she continued.

Gabrielle Cuccia, who graduated from Donald Trump's alma mater, claimed she was called "a racist, a fascist, a bigot" during her time in school because she was a vocal Trump supporter who refused to protest for the Black Lives Matter movement and other liberal social causes."Some call it loyalty. I call it conviction," Cuccia shared.
She later branded the Pentagon situation "the death of the MAGA movement."

Gabrielle Cuccia pointed out how many of Donald Trump's supporters don't want to criticize his administration."Somewhere along the way, we as a collective decided — if anyone ever questioned a policy or person within the MAGA movement –that they weren't MAGA enough," Cuccia said.
She later clarified that she doesn't want to "tear down" Pete Hegseth, but she is instead focused on keeping "MAGA alive."
She urged readers to view the movement as a way to "love your country, not your government."

While promoting her Substack post, Gabrielle Cuccia shared that her commitment to the MAGA movement has caused issues for her in the past."I was once told that a former peer feared I was too MAGA for the job," she wrote on her Instagram Story.
"I guess I was. I guess I am," she added.
