BBC, Donald Trump was photographed inspecting the jet in February while in Palm Beach, Florida.
"It's a great gesture from Qatar. I appreciate it very much. I would never be one to turn down that kind of an offer," the president told reporters.

Donald Trump took aim at Democratic critics in his Truth Social post, but several Republicans have also publicly disapproved of the lavish gift from Qatar.
"I love President Trump. I would take a bullet for him. But, I have to call a spade a spade. We cannot accept a $400 million 'gift' from jihadists in suits," MAGA influencer Laura Loomer wrote on X in response to the jet scandal.

Laura Loomer later predicted the jet, which has been described as a "palace in the sky," will impact Donald Trump's legacy.
"This is really going to be such a stain on the admin if this is true," she said. "And I say that as someone who would take a bullet for Trump. I'm so disappointed."
