Kristi Noem is being slammed online over her trip to the Middle East.On Sunday, May 26, Donald Trump's Homeland Security Secretary visited Qal'at al-Bahrain Fort, where she rode a camel decked out in a headscarf and large sunglasses. Despite her embracing the region's customs, social media users were not thrilled with Noem's look.

In the photos, Kristi Noem wore an oversized pair of black sunglasses and a tan headscarf as she rode on the back of a camel."I feel sorry for the Camel," one person penned on X.
"Why is @KristiNoem cosplaying with camels? What is her goal in this visit?" a second user noted, while another asked: "Why is the director of Homeland Security riding a camel in the Middle East? How does that help America?"
"And at taxpayer expense, no doubt," a fourth added.

During her trip abroad, Kristi Noem visited Israel to have a "very candid" chat with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid tensions with Donald Trump over the United States' effort to finalize a nuclear deal with Iran."President Trump specifically sent me here to have a conversation with the prime minister about how those negotiations are going and how important it is that we stay united and let this process play out," she said during a Monday, May 26, appearance on Fox & Friends.
"We discussed Iran and we discussed where Israel's position was. I also delivered the message on where the president was and the president will never accept a nuclear-capable Iran," Noem continued. "He also wants Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be on the same page with him."

Kristi Noem and the United States Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, also visited the Gaza border with Israeli Defense Forces soldiers and prayed at the Western Wall.The former governor of South Dakota offered condolences after Israeli Embassy staffers Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky were killed at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, May 21.
"President Trump extends his greetings and his grief to all of you and he stands with you as we fight this hatred in the world," Noem said at a press briefing with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar.

It wasn't only social media users who condemned Kristi Noem's global excursion. Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett called the Republican politician's trip to Israel another way to get people's attention."You just had a good photo op. And I think that that's probably all Kristi Noem is good for, is a photo op," Crockett said during a Sunday, May 25, appearance on MSNBC's Weekends with Alex Witt.
