Harry Enten appeared baffled by a May survey that showed Democrats falling behind Republicans by eight points when it comes to which party is "closer to your economic views" despite a possible recession looming under Donald Trump."You'd expect that Democrats would have this massive lead on the economy — it ain't so! It ain't so!" he marveled. "How is that possible, Democrats!?"
"How is it possible after all the recession fears? After the stock market's been doing all of this, after all the tariffs that Americans are against and Republicans still hold an eight-point lead on the economy? Are you kidding me!?" the reporter lamented.

Harry Entin highlighted other polls that show the Liberal Party having less support from Americans as conservatives gain more ground with Donald Trump in the White House."Party with a better economic plan? Well, in May of 2024, just before Donald Trump was re-elected president, Republicans had a nine-point advantage. Look at where we are now in May 2025 — the advantage actually went up by three points," the host explained. "Now, Republicans have a 12-point advantage when it comes to the party with a better economic plan."
"Again, this is after months of supposed economic uncertainty in which the stock market's been going bonkers, in which tariff wars that Americans are against have been going on," he added. "And yet, despite all of that, the Democrats are down by 12 points on the economy."

In another shocking survey asking which political party is more for the middle class, Harry Enten emphasized how this poll "speaks to Democratic problems on the economy better than" anything else amid Donald Trump's second presidency."In our latest CNN poll, among registered voters, 'Which is the party of the middle class?' — It is tied!" the data guru said.
Entin added of the left, "They have traditionally been the party of the middle class. No more! Donald Trump and the Republican Party have taken that mantle away. Republicans have completely closed the gap."

Despite numerous bold political moves by Donald Trump and his administration, polls in recent months have shown low support for the Democratic party.According to a Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics survey, only 23 percent of participants under 30 approve of democratic lawmakers.
The data highlights a 25-point decline from 48 percent in the fall of 2020 and is even lower than the 42 percent approval of Democrats seen in 2017, early in the U.S. leader's first term.
