During the appearance, Mike Waltz claimed Donald Trump is laying down the law with Europe by making it clear they need to supply their own defense."President Trump is saying 'no.' You need make-up money, so to speak. You need to all be at 5%," Waltz said.
According to the New York Post, Trump requested NATO partners up their weapons budget during his first term as European countries were not even achieving 2% defense spending levels.

Mike Waltz then went after Canada for allegedly failing to meet the 4% defense spending level they previously promised Donald Trump they would achieve."He is going to continue to demand 5% of their GDP heading into a big NATO summit this year," Waltz said. "And that's when you look at countries like Canada who a decade ago committed to do the minimum 2% [and] still isn't there and is saying a decade from now it'll be at the minimum."

On Wednesday, April 23, Donald Trump slammed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for allegedly making it "so difficult to settle this war" after he issued a statement opposing terms of the Republican's "final offer" peace plan. Trump even brought former U.S. commander-in-chief Barack Obama into the argument."This statement is very harmful to the Peace Negotiations with Russia in that Crimea was lost years ago under the auspices of President Barack Hussein Obama and is not even a point of discussion," he wrote on Truth Social. "Nobody is asking Zelenskyy to recognize Crimea as Russian territory but, if he wants Crimea, why didn't they fight for it eleven years ago when it was handed over to Russia without a shot being fired?"
