Hunter Biden's Financial Downfall
Hunter Biden is facing severe financial difficulties, claiming in a recent legal filing that he is millions of dollars in debt and struggling to sell his artwork. Once raking in nearly $1.5 million dollars from his colorful abstract paintings during dad Joe Biden's presidency, the former first son revealed that his fortune has drastically shifted."In the 2 to 3 years prior to December 2023, I sold 27 pieces of art at an average price of $54,481.48, but since then I have only sold 1 piece of art for $36,000," Hunter stated in court documents.
Additionally, sales of his memoir, Beautiful Things, have plummeted leaving him unable to secure paid speaking engagements or appearances.

Wildfires, Lawsuits and Mounting Debt
Adding to Hunter's financial struggles, he claimed that the Pacific Palisades wildfires in January destroyed his rental home, making his living situation even more unstable."Like many others in that situation, I am having difficulty in finding a new permanent place to live," he said in his legal motion.
A collection of his stored artwork was reportedly lost in the blaze, further compounding his financial woes. His attorneys noted that Hunter's debts have climbed into the "millions of dollars" range, making it difficult for him to continue litigation in multiple legal battles.
Dropping His Lawsuit Against Trump Aide Garrett Ziegler
In a significant legal move, Hunter asked a federal judge to dismiss his lawsuit against former Donald Trump aide Garrett Ziegler, citing his financial struggles. The lawsuit, filed in 2023, accused the assistant of illegally accessing and publishing the contents of the then-first son's infamous laptop, which included thousands of emails, photos and videos.Garrett, who has made Hunter's laptop data public through his right-wing nonprofit Marco Polo, reacted with defiance to his request.
"Hunter wants to cry uncle. We are OPPOSING that," he shared with the New York Post. "We want our attorney's fees to be paid, for Hunter to cease lying about us and me, and just generally to shut the f*** up."
Struggles With Other Legal Battles
Beyond his lawsuit against Garrett, Hunter is also entangled in litigation with former Delaware computer repair shop owner John Paul Mac Isaac, who initially leaked the laptop's contents. In his latest court filing, the 46th president's son admitted that he is now evaluating his various lawsuits on a "case-by-case basis" to determine where to allocate his dwindling resources. With mounting debt and declining income, Biden appears to be prioritizing which legal battles he can afford to continue fighting.
Public Reactions to Hunter's Financial Woes
Hunter Biden's claims of financial hardship have sparked widespread reactions online, with many questioning the timing of his struggles now that his father is no longer in the White House.Critics argue that his legal and financial troubles are of his own making, while others point to the ethical concerns surrounding his past art sales.
Garrett and his supporters have framed Hunter's legal retreat as an attempt to escape accountability, while his defenders argue that he is being unfairly targeted by political opponents.
As the legal battles unfold, one thing is clear: The former first son's once-lucrative ventures are no longer shielding him from the financial and legal fallout of his past.
