Headlines touted a new romance and maybe even a rekindled romance this week (looking at you, Ben and Jen!), but they also announced the official end of another love story. On March 7, Scarlett Johansson officially filed for divorce from Romain Dauriac, her husband of two-and-a-half years. And things could get nasty: The filing came as a "shock" to her ex, from whom she was separated, as was her request for joint custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Rose. Romain's lawyer told multiple outlets that the former journalist will fight for custody. "It is indeed unfortunate, especially for our daughter, that Scarlett filed in court and made our personal differences so public," Romain said in a statement. "I would implore her to withdraw her action promptly and go back, as uncomfortable as it might be, to the negotiating table. We are the parents of a lovely daughter whom we will continue to co-parent for many years and share her joys and sorrows as only a parent can." Scarlett issued a statement as well, saying that we've basically heard that last from her when it comes to this issue: "As a devoted mother and private person and with complete awareness that my daughter will one day be old enough to read the news about herself, I would only like to say that I will never, ever be commenting on the dissolution of my marriage."

Back on track?
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are not giving up on each other yet! On March 8, the normally reliable People magazine reported that the couple hasn't exactly reconciled, but they're getting closer. "Jen has called off the divorce," a source said. "She really wants to work things out with Ben. They are giving things another try." A separate source said, "There is always a chance of reconciliation. They love each other. They also really, really love their kids, and those kids love their parents." Other outlets later claimed nothing has changed and that plans to divorce — which the couple announced nearly two years ago — are still on.

Plastic surgery regrets
Over the years, Olivia Newton-John's daughter Chloe Lattanzi has spent more than $400,000 on plastic surgery, she revealed, but the results haven't always been positive. In recalling the work she's gotten done to her nose, breasts, lips and face, she told Women's Day, "All those things were a disaster. Not only did the lip implants look ridiculous, the first boob op I had in Australia when I was 18 left me looking mutilated." In 2016, she finally fixed her botched surgery. "Now I'm a 32DD and I love my body and love showing my new boobs off," she said.
New romance
Jennifer Lopez has been secretly dating former MLB star Alex Rodriguez, according to reports this week. On March 8, Page Six quoted a source who claimed J.Lo and A-Rod "have been seeing each other for a few months — and were together in L.A. this past weekend." Alex has also been seen backstage at her "All I Have" Las Vegas residency show at Planet Hollywood. "They are really into each other because they have so much in common — from their Latin roots to their love of New York and their kids," the source said.
Abusive relationship
Jenny McCarthy revealed this week that she was in an abusive relationship for four years, and, at times, even wondered if her partner would take her life. "What I thought was gonna be a typical relationship turned into a relationship that you would never think you would get yourself into. Especially me," she said while attending an event for a hair care product. "I mean, I really consider myself to be pretty strong-willed and confident, even back then. But I did find myself being slowly manipulated into a very, very dark, abusive — verbally abusive — relationship that could have easily killed me." She didn't say who the relationship was with or give a time frame. "I found my accountability in the hell I was living in," she said of finally leaving the unnamed man. "It wasn't his job to love me. It was mine. So I chose to finally get the hell out of that relationship. I chose to be powerful, not powerless."
Settling custody
Paula Patton and Robin Thicke have been at each other's throats over custody of 6-year-old son Julian since January, but an end to their brutal war is finally in sight. On March 7, TMZ reported that the couple are "now very close to resolving custody." The battle for Julian has been nothing short of intense, with both Paula and Robin accusing the other of everything from violating agreements and restraining orders to tampering with the case and even wining and dining a Department of Children and Family Services caseworker to curry favor.
Bizarre video
Nick Cannon released a bizarre video this past week in which he discussed his mental state. "People think I'm crazy," he said on his vlog. "They had reports that I have mental issues. Tell us [something] we don't know! … I been crazy! They call me crazy 'cause I turned down millions and millions and millions… of dollars. I am moving on to bigger and better things, like my mixtape." Nick then aligned himself with Albert Einstein, Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr., claiming, "To be brilliant, to be a genius, to change the world, you have to be crazy."
Secret battle
Eliza Dushku made a surprising revelation this week: She's secretly battled drug and alcohol addiction for years. The actress spoke at a Youth Summit on Opioid Awareness on March 7, saying, "Something a lot of people don't know about me is that I'm an alcoholic and I was a drug addict for a lot of years. I'm always going to be that, but the difference between me and an alcoholic or a drug addict that still drinks and does drugs is that I'm sober. I don't drink and I don't do drugs anymore." She says she's now been sober for eight-and-a-half years.
Oh, baby!
"The Bachelorette" and "The Bachelor" alums Tanner Tolbert and Jade Roper are expecting their first child together, they announced in In Touch magazine on March 8. Jade is due on Sept. 14 and has said she's actually considering giving birth in water, depending on how the pregnancy goes. Speaking of the moment they found out they were expecting, Tanner revealed, "Jade cried a little bit. I was just really excited."
Marriage confirmation
Adele finally confirmed what everyone thought: She's a married woman. The singer casually acknowledged her marriage while introducing her 2011 smash hit "Someone Like You" to a concert crowd in Australia on March 5. "That feeling when you first fall for someone is the best feeling on earth," she explained. "And I am addicted to that feeling. Obviously, I can't go through with those feelings because I'm married now. I've found my next person." Adele first dropped the "M" bombshell at the Grammy Awards in February when she called her longtime love Simon Konecki her "husband" in one of her acceptance speeches.
