Join us in counting down the top five films to watch so you don't get left behind, starting with an original film…Netflix's Nonnas premiered in April on the platform, and it continues to attract audiences across the nation, earning 3.2 million views in the past week.
While it's been months since its release, the biographical film is still a trending topic. The movie is inspired by real-life chef Joe Scaravella, who is played by Vince Vaughn. Scaravella opened a restaurant honoring his family's Italian recipes after his grandmother died in 1999.
The movie's exploration of history, culture and grief has made it resonate with viewers.

No. 4: M3GAN
M3GAN, which premiered in 2022, is gaining popularity on Netflix, as fans gear up for the sequel's release on Friday, June 27.M3GAN is a lifelike doll designed by Gemma, portrayed by Allison Williams, to protect her niece, Cady, but the robot takes a murderous approach to protecting the young girl in the sci-fi thriller.
The movie scored 3.8 million views in the past week.
No. 3: Bee Movie
The 2007 comedy Bee Movie, which recently landed on Netflix, managed to score 4.8 million views in the past week.The animated film follows Barry the Bee (voiced by Jerry Seinfeld, who also co-wrote and produced), who finds himself disinterested in life in the hive. Barry goes against the grain and leaves the beehive to interact with humans, but after discovering they've been stealing honey, he goes on a quest for justice.
Jerry's wife Jessica Seinfeld was happily surprised to see the film's increased popularity: "We couldn't figure out why Bee Movie was #2 trending movie on Netflix. It came out in 2007! Thankfully, one of my followers (Rebecca) did a simple Google search and we learned that Bee Movie had only just arrived on Netflix," she wrote on Instagram on Sunday, June 8.
No. 2: Now You See Me
Now You See Me, which originally hit theaters in 2013, is once again captivating audiences after hitting the streaming platform, securing 4.9 million views in the past week.The heist film follows a group of illusionists known as the Four Horsemen who use their magic skills to rob a bank and give the money to their audience members.
While the movie is 12 years old, fans could be watching it to prepare for Now You See Me 3 — which is set to premiere in November.
No. 1: Straw
Tyler Perry's Netflix original film Straw is a psychological crime drama starring Taraji P. Henson, Teyana Taylor, Sherri Shepherd and Sinbad.The movie — which has scored more than 25 million views so far — follows a single mother whose world collapses after a series of life-altering events occur while she attempts to care for her ill daughter.
Straw is Perry's eighth project for Netflix and was added to their library on Friday, June 6.
