Caitlyn Jenner is doubling and tripling down on her usage of a slur online.
The transgender "I Am Cait" star and former Olympian was motivated to respond to a message posted on X, formerly Twitter, by Donald Trump Jr. after he lamented that it's not OK to use the R-word. "I know you're not allowed to use the R word that was a big part of our vernacular growing up if you're my age, but there has to be exceptions, right???" Don Jr. asked.
Caitlyn chimed in — but misspelled the word. "I'll say it RETARTED!" she wrote on Nov. 15. To little surprise, social media users quickly mocked Caitlyn for not only happily using the word but for her spelling faux pas. Still, Caitlyn decided the best way forward was to continue using the word, albeit spelled correctly.

After being called out for her mistake, Caitlyn Jenner corrected her spelling 30 minutes later. "Omg I immediately respelled it properly in the comments epic ironic fail, I get it," she wrote on X.
The responses to her typo were gold.
"Sound it out babe you're almost there," one person wrote. Another added, "Perfect. No notes."
Still, Caitlyn dug in.

On Nov. 16, Page Six chuckled at the typo, which seemed to rile Caitlyn Jenner.
"It's R******* that the Biden admin frees up another $10 BILLION to IRAN!" the conservative star typed, seemingly referring to the Biden administration approving a four-month sanctions waiver that will allow Iraq to continue to purchase electricity from Iran.
"And losers at @PageSix go on to lecture me about how offensive the word is. GET THE HELL OVER IT. How about focusing on how dangerous and R******* freeing up $10 BILLION to Iran is."

Caitlyn Jenner went on to tell the New York Post's Page Six that its "priorities are so wrong." She then called the outlet's coverage of her typo "R*******."

Still upset, Caitlyn Jenner continued to use the slur while slamming the writer of the Page Six story.
"And then the tabloid writer has the nerve to write we were unavailable for comment AFTER he published his PC lecture on the R******* word — at 852AM ET and emails for comment at 856AM ET. Shame on you for not covering the real story, lecturing me, and shame on you for lying," Caitlyn wrote.
