It's official: ABC is parting ways with journalist Terry Moran after he took to social media to share a heated rant about White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller. The network initially suspended him in the immediate wake of the scandal."We are at the end of our agreement with Terry Moran and based on his recent post – which was a clear violation of ABC News policies – we have made the decision to not renew," a spokesperson told TheWrap on Tuesday, June 10. "At ABC News, we hold all of our reporters to the highest standards of objectivity, fairness and professionalism, and we remain committed to delivering straightforward, trusted journalism."

On Saturday, June 7, Terry Moran took to X to slam Donald Trump's Deputy Chief of Staff, Stephen Miller."The thing about Stephen Miller is not that he is the brains behind Trumpism. Yes, he is one of the people who conceptualizes the impulses of the Trumpist movement and translates them into policy. But that's not what's interesting about Miller," Moran wrote.

In his post, Terry Moran depicted Stephen Miller as a dark figure within Donald Trump's administration."It's not brains. It's bile. Miller is a man who is richly endowed with the capacity for hatred. He's a world-class hater," Moran wrote. "You can see this just by looking at him because you can see that his hatreds are his spiritual nourishment. He eats his hate."

Terry Moran, who previously interviewed Donald Trump, credited some of the president's most controversial decisions to Stephen Miller."Trump is a world-class hater. But his hatred [is] only a means to an end, and that end [is] his own glorification," Moran claimed. "That's his spiritual nourishment."

ABC News initially suspended Terry Moran from his role at the network: "ABC News stands for objectivity and impartiality in its news coverage and does not condone subjective personal attacks on others. The post does not reflect the views of ABC News and violated our standards — as a result, Terry Moran has been suspended pending further evaluation," a spokesperson said._
Vice President J.D. Vance took to X to comment on Terry Moran's views and biases in journalism: "An ABC journalist [Terry Moran] posted this absolutely vile smear of Stephen Miller. It's dripping with hatred. Remember that every time you watch ABC's coverage of the Trump administration," he wrote._
Terry Moran previously labeled Donald Trump an authoritarian while predicting his 2016 and 2024 presidential wins."The way to understand Trump (as I said on ABC Election Night 2016) is to see him not as a Republican or Democrat, not as a conservative or liberal, but as a Nationalist," he wrote on X in November.
"And, like many nationalist leaders, he is a man with an authoritarian cast of mind and a personality to match," he added before clarifying that he was "not endorsing any political point of view."
