Elon Musk and Donald Trump's friendship quickly unraveled after their final press conference together on Friday, May 30.Now the tech tycoon's father, Errol Musk, is siding with the president over his own son as their feud continues to escalate on social media.

Elon Musk publicly criticized Donald Trump's Big Beautiful Bill after leaving his role at DOGE, but Errol Musk doesn't agree with his son's approach."They've been under a lot of stress for five months. And it gives them a break. You know, they've had to get rid of all the opposition, try and put the country back on track, and do normal things and so forth," Errol recently told Russian outlet Izvestia.
"They're very tired and stressed. And so you can expect something like this. It's not unusual," he continued. "Trump will prevail. He's the president. He was elected as the president, so Elon made a mistake, I think. But he's tired. He's stressed."

Elon Musk, who was a major donor to Donald Trump's 2024 campaign, credited himself for the president's return to the White House."Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate," he wrote on X.
Errol Musk claimed his son wants to continue to support the party despite his criticisms.
"Elon wants to stick to the principles of not giving in to the Democrats [and] their stupid ideas," he said while in Moscow for the Future Forum 2050 event with Alexander Dugin.
"It's normal, it's just a small thing, [it] will be over tomorrow," he added of the feud between Trump and his son.

Even though Elon Musk was vocal about his disapproval of the Big Beautiful Bill, he hinted at being willing to reconcile with Donald Trump and J.D. Vance. However, Trump seems to be over his bromance with the Tesla boss."No, I don't have any plans," Trump said when asked if he's interested in ending the feud, adding that he's "not really interested" in reconciling.
"I'm not thinking about Elon," he added in a press conference. "You know, I just wish him well."
