Sarah Ferguson could face the financial consequences of her friendship with
Jeffrey Epstein. One public relations expert claimed the Duchess of York could face monetary "destitution" due to her "toxic" brand after she was dropped by several charities over her ties to the late criminal.

According to PR expert
Mark Borkowski, Sarah Ferguson's empathetic message to Jeffrey Epstein will stop brands from working with her. "The duchess' reputation and ability to earn a living off the back of that reputation directly affects
Prince Andrew's finances," he
said of her ex-husband. "The leaked emails are reputational napalm. When
a children's hospice decides the reputational risk of association outweighs the patronage of a duchess, the verdict is clear. She is toxic. Charities are bellwethers for public trust. If they won't touch her, then publishers, sponsors and producers won't either. This isn't a PR headache. It's financial destitution dressed up as disgrace."

A spokesperson for Teenage Cancer Trust released a statement addressing their decision to part ways with Sarah Ferguson after many years of collaboration. "We have made the decision to end our relationship with the Duchess of York and as of today, she is no longer a patron of Teenage Cancer Trust. We have communicated this decision to the duchess. We would like to thank the Duchess of York for her support," they said.

Children's hospice organization Julia's House also
cut ties with Sarah Ferguson over her Jeffrey Epstein ties. "Following information shared this weekend on the Duchess of York's correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein, Julia's House has taken the decision that it would be inappropriate for her to continue as a patron of the charity. We have advised the Duchess of York of this decision and thank her for her past support," they said in a statement.

In the 2011 email sent by Sarah Ferguson to Jeffrey Epstein, the Duchess of York apologized for distancing herself from him in an interview. "I know you feel hellaciously let down by me. And I must humbly apologize to you and your heart for that," she wrote. "You have always been a steadfast, generous and supreme friend to me and my family. I am apologizing to you today for not replying to your email or reaching out to you. I was bedridden with fear. I was paralyzed."
