Beyonce picked a black long-sleeved Lanvin gown for the Las Vegas award show in 2011. Bey, who took home the Millennium Award and performed "Run The World (Girls)," kept it simple in the short dress with an embellished v-neck though added serious glitz with sparkly Christian Louboutin peep-toe pumps.
Keri Hilson looked bright and bubbly in a yellow Rachel Roy dress with sheer bell sleeves. The singer added a fun pop of color to the look with a turquoise belt.
Fergie, both a performer and winner at the 2011 award show, wore a futuristic LBD on stage. The Black Eyed Peas singer opted for a look designed by Philips and B. Akerlund that used light-infused curve-hugging fabric that glowed to the beat of the music!
While Fergie went more high-tech inside the Billboard Music Awards, outside on the red carpet, she chose a slightly more traditional look — a short black frock with leather accents and an exaggerated skirt.
Rihanna looked white-hot in a Max Azria pantsuit back in 2011 when she was nominated for an astounding 18 awards. Her ensemble was understated but provided a great contrast to her fiery red hair.
Joe Jonas looked sharp in a black suit with a black V-neck tee underneath and white sneakers with orange soles.
Kesha went for a glamorous look in this Jad Ghandour dress with sexy cut-outs. The singer, who was nominated for six awards at the 2011 BBMAs, made the very red-carpet-ready gown her own with bedhead hair and super-dark eye makeup.
Performer and four-time nominee Nicki Minaj was like a walking stick of candyfloss in this baby blue ensemble. The rapper wore a jumpsuit with a sheer cut-out over her stomach and sparkles along her legs that all played off her bright cotton candy pink hair. All in all, super sweet!
Poison frontman Bret Michaels wore cross-embellished jeans, a leather bedazzled cowboy hat and a graphic tee to the 2011 award show hosted by Ken Jeong.
Before Mary J. Blige stepped out to perform with Lil Wayne at the MGM Grand Garden Arena during the 2011 BBMAs, she posed for photos in a dramatic leopard-print dress with black paneling. Mary's high ponytail added the perfect balance of playfulness to the look.
Hillary Scott played it safe in an LBD embellished at the neckline. The Lady A singer swept her hair to the side, leaving plenty of room to show off the colorful beading along the dress's V-neck.
Nayer, who performed with Ne-Yo and Pitbull during the show, opted for a strange ensemble comprised of thin pieces of colorful, bold fabric over a flesh-toned unitard. The ensemble looked like it was made for the worst dressed list.
Kylie Minogue looked radiant in an Alexander McQueen embellished silk tulle, organza and satin dress with delicate cut-out shoulders.
Nicole Kidman, who attended the show to support hubby Keith Urban, looked statuesque in a black Dries van Noten gown. Nicole's decision to wear a long braid pulled to the side gave things a more casual feel that was perfect for the BBMAs.
Kelly Rowland looked outstanding in a fuchsia Herve Leger bandage dress. Her white bracelet and strappy heels made things feel youthful and fun.
Michelle Williams also opted for a playful look at the 2011 BMAs. She choose a sequined long-sleeved LBD with a soft fringed skirt and paired it with stiletto boots and a red embroidered clutch.
Former MTV VJ Julie Brown was another celebrity who opted for black sequins back in 2011. She wore a black sparkly tunic with a matching fedora over leggings and black pumps — a look that felt a little casual for a big night out in Las Vegas.
