Demi Moore's black-and-white ensemble by Thom Browne was an optical illusion made to look like a men's tie. According to Vogue, the dress is made of 1,400,000 beads — including 22,000 pieces of black rectangle sequins, 103,500 pieces of black cut beads and 1,093,500 pieces of black bugle beads.

Rihanna showed off her baby bump in a gray bustier with a black floor-length skirt and cropped black jacket by Marc Jacobs while walking the red carpet at the 2025 Met Gala where the theme of the night was "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" with a dress code of "Tailored for You."

Zendaya

Zendaya looked chicer than ever in an all-white custom Louis Vuitton zoot suit, designed by Pharrell Williams, which she paired with a tie and a wide-brimmed hat. In a twist of the night, Anna Sawai showed up in a similar Dior suit.

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra went a bit too theatrical with her polka dot Balmain dress, which she matched with black gloves and a large hat. The actress also topped off the ensemble with a 241-carat "Magnus Emerald" Bulgari necklace.

One of the event's co-chair's Colman Domingo stepped out in a royal blue floor-length Valentino cape. Underneath, The Four Seasons star wore a checkered black coat, tailored gray pants and a large black flower pin.

Doja Cat

Doja Cat's structured pinstripe bodysuit, adorned with a leopard print pattern, by Marc Jacobs may have been too outlandish and off-theme for the event.

Audra McDonald

Broadway's Audra McDonald looked ethereal in a long cream Harbison Studio gown, which she paired with a cape as she made her way into the gathering.

Janelle Monáe

Janelle Monáe's went bold in a multi-colored Thom Browne suit, which she paired with a trompe l'oeil, lapel and briefcase. However, she looked more like she was going to a business meeting rather than fashion's biggest event of the year.

Nicole Scherzinger

Sunset Boulevard's leading lady Nicole Scherzinger's crisp white dress with bedazzled detailing by Prabal Gurung hit all the right notes as she strolled up the carpet.

Cynthia Erivo

Wicked's Cynthia Erivo pulled out all of the stops in a dramatic custom Givenchy by Sarah Burton look ensemble, which was adorned with red beads and a long flowing train.

André 3000

André 3000 wore an entire piano on his back and carried a garbage bag while dressed in a look designed by Burberry.

In true Kim Kardashian fashion, the mogul wore a skintight leather gown alongside a matching leather hat by Chrome Hearts. Kardashian also paired Moussaieff diamond necklaces with her gown.

Charli XCX went gothic chic in a black feathered outfit by Ann Demeulemeester by Stefano Gallici. The "Von Dutch" singer also rocked a head-turning feather headpiece.

Kylie Jenner seemed to miss the mark in a see-through halter dress from Ferragamo with a tweed skirt.

Barry Keoghan's custom-made black, red and embroidered Valentino outfit appeared out of step for the theme of the event.
