King Charles III and Princess Diana's broken marriage deeply affected Prince William.In a rare comment about his late mother and the leader of England, the Prince of Wales confessed his parents made "mistakes" raising him.

During Prince William's appearance on Eugene Levy's Apple TV+ show, The Reluctant Traveler, he admitted King Charles III and Princess Diana's divorce was difficult for him."You take that and you learn from it and you try and make sure you don't make the same mistakes as your parents," he said. "I think we all try and do that and I just want to do what's best for my children, but I know that the drama and the stress when you're small really affects you when you're older."

Prince William noted that there were also wonderful aspects of being raised by King Charles III and Princess Diana."I think it's really important that that atmosphere is created at home. You have to have that warmth, that feeling of safety, security, love. That all has to be there and that was certainly part of my childhood," he said.

In the coming years, Prince William will prepare to succeed King Charles III. However, the father of three made it clear Kate Middleton and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, will always be his priority over being a royal."The most important thing in my life is my family," he said.
