A recent survey asked "MAGA Republicans" whether they would support U.S. military strikes against Iran.The results revealed that a majority of President Donald Trump's followers would back military action if it were taken, according to a J.L. Partners survey shared with the New York Post.

The poll found that 65% of self-identified "MAGA Republicans" would support strikes on Iran, while just 19% oppose them.This level of support even surpasses that of "traditional" Republicans, among whom 51% back strikes compared to 28% against, according to J.L. Partners' latest data.
When looking at Republican voters overall, 58% would support U.S. strikes on Iran, 25% oppose and 17% remain neutral or unsure.
"This poll makes clear: the Republican base is not isolationist. They back forceful U.S. and Israeli action to stop Iran, and see Israel's fight as America's fight," said James Johnson, co-founder of J.L. Partners.

Despite heightened tensions in the Middle East, President Donald Trump retains strong approval among his followers.Of his 2024 voters, 95% approve of his performance overall, and 84% support his handling of the Israel-Iran conflict.
Among Americans more broadly, 46% approve of Trump's response to the crisis so far, while 40% disapprove.

While many supporters of President Donald Trump back potential military action, some prominent figures within his circle are urging caution.Tucker Carlson, "War Room" podcast host Steve Bannon and Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene have all spoken out against U.S. involvement in the conflict.
In response, Trump called out his critics, including Carlson, whom he called "kooky," while insisting he is the true pioneer of "America First."
"My supporters are for me," he told reporters on Wednesday, June 18. "My supporters don't want to see Iran have a nuclear weapon."
