"Staff appear to struggle to keep up with the hardest-working royal, Princess Anne," royal editor Richard Eden wrote for Daily Mail."Two years after she advertised for a 'program manager' to help organise her busy workload, she's seeking a new one," Eden continued. "The pay has gone up in that time, from £32,500 ($43,697) a year to £38,000 ($51,092)."

Princess Anne has taken on additional duties, as King Charles III and Kate Middleton were both dealing with health issues."King Charles' sister, 75, carried out 474 engagements last year, ahead of His Majesty with 372, although he was undergoing cancer treatment," Richard Eden shared.

As Princess Anne supports cancer-stricken King Charles III, her workload isn't expected to decrease."She has said her plan is to push on [with work] until she is 80, then start winding down a bit, and then copy the [late] Duke of Edinburgh and wind down completely at 90," a source told The Times.

The insider alluded to Princess Anne working for the monarchy until the very end."The head of state has to go on, but the princess is in a position where she can wind down and say, 'I've done my bit,' just like the Duke of Edinburgh did," the insider shared. "She would like to do it while she is still in reasonable health and she can enjoy some time at Gatcombe."

Princess Anne previously hinted at not having a retirement plan during a trip to Cape Town."It really isn't written in, no. It isn't really an option, no, I don't think so," Anne said when asked about stepping back from her royal career.
