While sitting in the Oval Office, Terry Moran asked Donald Trump directly why he would not help to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia. "The Supreme Court upheld an order you must return him, facilitate his return to the United States. What are you doing to comply?" the journalist asked the Republican leader."This is a MS-13 gang member," Trump alleged. "A tough cookie, been in lots of skirmishes, beat the h*** out of his wife and the wife was petrified to talk about him, ok? This is not an innocent, wonderful gentleman from Maryland."
"I'm not saying he's a good guy. It's about the rule of law. The order from the Supreme Court stands, Sir," Moran pressed.
"He came into our country illegally," the businessman claimed.
"You could get him back. [pointing to Resolute Desk] There's a phone on this desk," the reporter said. "You could pick it up and with all the power of the presidency, you could call up the president of El Salvador and say, 'Send him back right now.'"
"And if he were the gentleman you say he is, I would do that," Trump shot back.

Despite ignoring the Supreme Court, Donald Trump continues to claim he's following the law."I'm not the one making this decision. We have lawyers that don't want to do this," The Apprentice star said before Terry Moran interjected, "You're the president! The buck stops in this office."
"No, no, no, no, no. I follow the law," Trump claimed. "You want me to follow the law. If I were the president that just wanted to do anything, I'd probably keep him where he is."
"The Supreme Court says what the law is," Moran emphasized.
The right-winger went on to seemingly slam former President Joe Biden, adding, "Listen, I was elected to take care of a problem that was an unforced error that was made by a very incompetent man, a man that turned out to be incompetent that you always said was wonderful. A great genius, right? And now you find out, all of the media, they're saying what a mistake they made."

In an order issued on Friday, April 11, the Supreme Court unanimously voted to have Donald Trump and his administration "facilitate" the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia."The [district court] order properly requires the Government to 'facilitate' Abrego Garcia's release from custody in El Salvador and to ensure that his case is handled as it would have been had he not been improperly sent to El Salvador," the ruling via NBC News stated. "The intended scope of the term 'effectuate' in the District Court's order is, however, unclear and may exceed the District Court's authority. The District Court should clarify its directive, with due regard for the deference owed to the Executive Branch in the conduct of foreign affairs."

While Donald Trump has continued to dismiss the ruling, fellow Republicans have called out the commander-in-chief for not listening to the highest court in the nation.During the Tuesday, April 15, episode of Fox News Channel's The Story with Martha MacCallum, right-wing journalist Trey Gowdy told host Martha MacCallum, "I think what they ought to do is probably follow the judge's order and the Supreme Court decision, which used the word 'facilitate.'"
"Also in that opinion, Martha, were the words 'accidental,' 'mistake' and 'illegal.' I mean, those are not three good words you want in a Supreme Court decision," the reporter added.
