On Sept. 7 — nearly a year after he made their relationship Instagram official — music star Charlie Puth announced that he and Brooke Sansone are engaged.

"I flew to New York to ask my best friend to marry me, and she said yes," he captioned a series of photos on Instagram featuring her gorgeous new pear-shaped diamond engagement ring, adding, "I am the happiest, best version of myself and it is all because of you Brookie. I love you endlessly forever and ever and ever."

Brooke is a digital marketing and public relations coordinator at an interior design firm. She and Charlie grew up together in New Jersey and only started dating in recent years after a lengthy friendship.

"​​[She's] someone that I grew up with," Charlie told radio host Howard Stern in 2022, explaining, "As my life gets more turbulent and I travel everywhere, it's really nice to have someone close to you that you've known for a very long time."

Radio and TV host Tanya Rad — who's best known for her gig as co-host on KIIS FM's "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" — is engaged. Tanya and her boyfriend, attorney Roby Yadegar, shared the exciting news on Instagram on Sept. 14, with a lengthy caption that read in part, "Our connection was instantaneous and undeniable that first night and has only grown stronger since… One could say we were lucky to have met the way we did, randomly on a dating app, but I don't think it was random at all… It was meant to be." Roby popped the question with a custom emerald-cut diamond engagement ring from Brilliant Earth.

On Aug. 29, model Roberto Rossellini — the son of actress Isabella Rossellini and grandson of three-time Oscar winner Ingrid Bergman and Italian filmmaker Roberto Rossellini, his namesake — announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Kai Marie. "Cheers to forever with you @kaixmarie. She said yes!" he captioned a series of photos revealing Kai's ring as they celebrated with champagne.

The announcement came days after Roberto took to  Instagram to celebrate their dating anniversary. "We made it to 8 years!!!" he wrote. "I love you. Thank you for loving me for me. These have been the best years with you. Thank you for believing in me and being the best adventure partner I could ever ask for. Can't wait to spend more years having fun with you. I love you @kaixmarie."

On Aug. 14, "The Originals" co-stars Danielle Campbell and Colin Woodell took to Instagram to share a joint post announcing that they're engaged: "You and me," they captioned a slideshow of photos including a closeup of the actress's new engagement ring. They've reportedly been an item since 2018 — the same year their cult The CW show came to an end after five seasons. Danielle went on to star on "Tell Me a Story," while Colin recently starred on "The Flight Attendant."

On Aug. 14, Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott took to Instagram to share a joint post announcing that they're engaged following a courtship of four years: "Forever starts now!!!" they captioned a selfie showing off the "New Girl" alum's engagement ring — a colorful bauble featuring pink and purple gemstones arranged in the shape of at least three flowers.

According to People magazine, the "Property Brothers" star popped the question in Scotland on Aug. 13 during a family vacation with the actress's two children from her first marriage.

"The Real Housewives of Miami" star Lenny Hochstein — who's still married to estranged wife Lisa Hochstein — is engaged to Katharina Mazepa, the couple announced on Instagram on July 29. "On top of an ancient pirate cave, overlooking the sunset over breathtaking Es Vedrá, he asked to steal me away forever," the Austrian model captioned a post featuring proposal pictures.

Her engagement to the South Florida plastic surgeon comes more than a year after Lenny filed to divorce Lisa following 12 years of marriage. He was accused of cheating on Lisa with Katharina — which he's denied — as he went public with his new romance just days after split news emerged.

Lisa commented on Lenny's engagement news shortly after it broke, writing on her Instagram Story, "Congrats to my current husband and his mistress on their engagement."

On July 27, actress Talulah Riley took to X — the social media platform previously known as Twitter — to announce that she and a "Love Actually" and "Nanny McPhee" star are planning to marry: "Very happy to share that after two years of dating, Thomas Brodie Sangster and I are engaged!" she captioned a photo of them together. Her ex-husband, Elon Musk — to whom she was married from 2010 to 2012 and again from 2013 to 2016 — took to the comments on X, which he owns, to respond, writing, "Congratulations!" alongside a heart emoji.

Hulk Hogan is engaged! The wrestling icon shared his happy news during a speech at a friend's wedding over the weekend of July 22 then confirmed to TMZ Sports that he popped the question to yoga instructor Sky Daily the previous week at a restaurant in Tampa, Florida. He also shared with fans in a video SKy posted on her private Instagram account that "she was crazy enough to say yes." The WWE Hall of Famer and Sky began dating in early 2022, TMZ reported. This will mark Hulk's third marriage.

People magazine reported that "The Real Housewives of Dallas" alum Kary Brittingham got engaged to her boyfriend of less than a year, injury lawyer Mark A. Anderson, while vacationing in Italy's Tuscany region on July 11. "I still can't believe it, I am over the moon. Even now, all these days later, I'm sitting here, like, shocked that it happened. I feel like I'm in a dream!" said the bride-to-be, who finalized her divorce from her second husband, Eduardo Brittingham, in June. She went on to say of her new fiancé, who popped the question with a 12-carat diamond ring, "It really feels like I found a needle in a haystack. If I could have put on paper all the things I was looking for in somebody, it's him. I'm madly in love and just feel so grateful. He says to me all the time, 'Oh my god, how did I get so lucky?' Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury — who first connected on season 5 of the British version of "Love Island" in 2019 — got engaged on July 23, they revealed on Instagram. "Forever," they captioned a video of the proposal. They also shared a photo of themselves kissing while posing with their daughter and showing off the bride-to-be's new engagement ring: "To my perfect fiancé… forever wouldn't be long enough to call you mine," they captioned the pic.

Former "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star Braunwyn Windham-Burke proposed to Jennifer Spinner on July 15 — the one-year anniversary of their first date — during a picnic at 14th Street Park in New York City (see photos on the former reality star's Instagram page here) after recreating all the things they did together when they initially went out. The couple — who exchanged promise rings in January, had a non-legally binding commitment ceremony in Las Vegas on Valentine's Day and moved in together in Tennessee in the spring — are hoping to marry in October after Braunwyn's divorce from Sean Burke, with whom she has seven kids, is finalized. They duo was married for 23 years.

"Part of the reason I proposed now was because I now have an end date in my divorce; we're about 80 days from it wrapping," Braunwyn — who came out as a lesbian in 2020 — told People magazine, which shared a photo of Jennifer's unique vintage engagement ring. "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One" star Hayley Atwell said yes to songwriter-producer Ned Wolfgang Kelly in April during a getaway to Venice, Italy, which she told DailyMail.com is her "first most precious destination" and a place with which she's "always had a weird connection." She explained, "We had rented this Airbnb that had lots of shelves with porcelain ducks on them, so it was quite a surreal setup. "The Real Housewives of New York City" alum Kelly Killoren Bensimon is engaged to finance executive Scott Litner after a year of dating. He proposed over the Fourth of July holiday during a vacation in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, during a romantic boat ride, Kelly told E! News. "I was so moved that he brought me to a special place from my childhood to propose," she said. "I never thought that I could be so happy at this stage in my life, this is truly a new beginning," the 55-year-old added. "We have a romance that people write novels about." Scott popped the question with a custom emerald-cut, 5-carat diamond ring from NYC jeweler Material Good.

"Days of Our Lives" star Jessica Serfaty is engaged to Ray-Ban heir Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, People magazine reported on July 12. He popped the question with a yellow diamond ring at the Conca del Sogno restaurant on Italy's Amalfi coast. "The week before Leo asked for my hand, we had been laughing about one another's past engagement stories. Poking fun at all the dos and don'ts that come along with proposals. I was completely taken by surprise when he dropped to one knee. I remember seeing the joy in Leo's face when he couldn't hold it in any longer. He teared up at the end. … It was spontaneous, exciting and beautiful," the actress gushed, adding that they first met at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017 but didn't start dating until earlier this year.

"I saw him a few times in between the next couple of years. It was always warm, but it wasn't our time. We were both in relationships. On July 7, "Pretty Little Liars" actress Ashley Benson announced happy news: She's engaged to oil heir Brandon Davis. The "Spring Breakers" star shared the news on social media, posting a photo of her new enormous oval diamond ring — DailyMail.com reported it's a 12-carat sparkler worth $1 million — that Brandon had captioned "The love of my life." She added, "My best frienddddd, I love you." Ashley and Brandon were first publicly linked in January 2023 when they were spotted together at an NBA game. 

Both have famous exes: Ashley most recently dated rapper G-Eazy and before that was in a two-year relationship with actress-model Cara Delevingne. The "One Tree Hill" actress and country music singer shared a series of photos revealing the new diamond ring she was given by Allan Russell, a Scottish pro soccer player-turned-coach, after six-and-a-half months of dating.

On May 26, the actress and singer, in collaboration with Vogue Weddings, took to Instagram to share her happy news along with a few photos revealing her enormous diamond ring. "@bellathorne is engaged! Vogue further reported that Mark popped the question "with a 10-plus-carat emerald-cut diamond ring with baguettes flanking the center stone" at Bella's California home the day before Mother's Day. Despite their whirlwind romance, Bella's already planning their wedding. According to Vogue, she wants to exchange vows in the U.K. at a countryside manor and is envisioning four wedding gowns including vintage Schiaparelli or Dior looks for her big day.

On May 22 — after the former "So You Think You Can Dance" host and "Good Day LA" anchor was photographed wearing a massive diamond ring on her left hand — DailyMail.com reported that she'd says yes to a marriage proposal from the billionaire Amazon founder. The proposal reportedly took place on the Koru, Jeff's new $500 million superyacht, as he and Lauren cruised around the Mediterranean.

On April 29 — a year after she filed to divorce her husband of 30 years, country music singer Billy Ray Cyrus, for the third time — Tish Cyrus announced that she's engaged to "Prison Break" actor Dominic Purcell. "A thousand times…. YES," she captioned photos with her new fiancé — showing off her huge emerald-cut diamond engagement ring — on Instagram. Tish — a mother of five, including to music stars Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus — revealed in November 2022 that she and Dominic were an item. After nearly two years of dating, Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are engaged, they announced on Instagram on April 11. The news emerged after the "Stranger Things" actress posted a photo of herself wearing a diamond ring on her left hand as Jake hugged her from behind and captioned it with lyrics from Taylor Swift's "Lover," writing, "I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all." The model, reality TV star and Miss Universe 2012 announced the happy news with a photo of the NFL star, who plays for the San Francisco 49ers, down on one knee as he popped the question while they were road-tripping in Utah, revealing he proposed on April 2. That imploded fast!

In an interview he gave to one of his newspapers, the New York Post — which was published on March 20, a 92-year-old Rupert Murdoch confirmed that he'd proposed on St. Patrick's Day (because "I'm one-fourth Irish," he explained) to his girlfriend of a few months, 66-year-old former dental hygienist Ann Lesley Smith, with an Asscher-cut diamond solitaire he selected himself. "I was very nervous. I dreaded falling in love — but I knew this would be my last. It better be. I'm happy," he said.

His bride-to-be — a widow whose late husband was Chester Smith, a country singer, radio and TV exec — told the newspaper she and Rupert met in September 2022, which was a month after his divorce from fourth wife Jerry Hall was finalized. "For us both it's a gift from God … I'm a widow 14 years. Like Rupert, my husband was a businessman. Worked for local papers, developed radio and TV stations and helped promote Univision. So I speak Rupert's language. We share the same beliefs," she said. "In perspective, it's not my first rodeo. Getting near 70 means being in the last half. I waited for the right time. Friends are happy for me." 

But just two weeks later, the pair called off their engagement. Though a rep for the media mogul had no comment, a source close to him told Vanity Fair, which was the first outlet to reports the breakup news on April 4, that Rupert had become increasingly uncomfortable with Ann's outspoken evangelical views. Meanwhile, a friend close to the former couple told DailyMail.com that the pair had come to a mutual decision to part ways. "She just could not cope with being with being in the public eye," claimed that source. "They sat down and talked yesterday and agreed it was better for them to part. He accepts that he will always be in the public eye and there is nothing he can or would do to change that." The DailyMail.com source insisted that Rupert remained fond of Ann, saying he "admires her, respects her and thinks she is an amazing woman. He loves the fact she is so calm and so strong … and she shares his religious convictions."

Rupert previously shared that he and Ann met during an event at his vineyard, Moraga Bel Air in Los Angeles. "She and her husband also owned a vineyard and had been in the wine business. Last year when there [were] 200 people at my vineyard, I met her and we talked a bit. Two weeks later I called her."

Music star Lana Del Rey is engaged to her boyfriend of less than a year, musician and music manager Evan Winiker, Billboard reported on March 28, citing multiple sources. The couple has been seen together since at least September 2022.

On March 24, People magazine confirmed recent speculation that Justin Long and Kate Bosworth are engaged. "Kate is just on cloud nine. She is showing off her engagement ring to friends. "The Bachelor" star Zach Shallcross proposed to ER nurse Kaity Biggar — who said yes — on the season 27 finale of the ABC show, which aired on March 27. He popped the question with a Neil Lane ring that's "like a huge disco ball," Kaity told People magazine of the bauble, which features a center oval-cut diamond surrounded by a halo of round-cut diamonds all set in platinum on a three-sided diamond band. In total, the ring features nearly 3.1 carats of diamonds.

On Feb. 27, People magazine confirmed that Jon Hamm and actress Anna Osceola were engaged after two years of dating. The pair met on the "Mad Men" set in 2015 and both appeared in 2022's "Confess, Fletch." In June, the couple tied the knot at Anderson Canyon in Big Sur, California, which is where the "Mad Men" 2015 series finale was filmed.

Jon famously said he'd never marry back when he was in an 18-year relationship with screenwriter-actress Jennifer Westfeldt, but in 2022, he told radio host Howard Stern he'd been working on himself and that it had made him reconsider a lot of things. Eminem's daughter, Hailie Jade Mathers, announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Evan McClintock on Instagram on Feb. 6. Hailie — who's been name-dropped in many of her rapper father's biggest hits — posted several photos from the engagement including a shot of Evan on bended knee. "Casual weekend recap… 2.4.23," she captioned the pics.

Later that month on Hailie's "Just a Little Shady" podcast, Evan revealed how he asked Eminem for his blessing. "Over the holidays, I was looking for an opportunity not to make it too obvious," he said. Hailie's birthday is on Christmas Day so Evan was with her family celebrating — and that's when he decided to shoot his shot with the rapper. "I saw your dad go downstairs, and I'm like, 'I gotta do it right now, or I'm not doing it today, and I'm gonna have to schedule another time,'" Evan recalled to Hailie during the podcast. "So I just followed him downstairs, and, thankfully, he was just down there getting your cake and I made it happen."

Actress Rebel Wilson and Ramona Agruma, founder and owner of the athleisure brand Lemon Ve Limon, are engaged. Rebel announced the happy news on Instagram on Feb. 19, sharing photos from the proposal at Disneyland in California. "We said YES! Thank you @tiffanyandco for the stunning ring and to Bob Iger and the incredible team at Disneyland @disneyweddings for pulling off this magical surprise!" she captioned pics on Instagram.

Rebel also took to her Instagram Story to share images of the classic round-cut 2.55-carat Tiffany & Co. diamond engagement ring she gave Ramona. "Our friend Hugh, who set us up, gave us Tiffany heart charms on our first-ever date in Los Angeles in late 2021," Rebel told People magazine. "So it's amazing to celebrate our engagement with a gorgeous Tiffany's ring."

The proposal location was a sweet callback to how Rebel announced their romance in June 2022 when she shared on Instagram, "I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess."
