Social media accounts and personalities have expressed their disinterest in advocating for Texans due to Donald Trump's win in the state during the election. However, Goldberg doesn't think that is fair."Let me tell you, let's be really clear," Whoopi Goldberg said. "Yeah! Yeah. And it's unbelievable, but it's happening. And so I just want to be really clear; you know, you can't blame anybody for these floods. It's nobody's fault!"

Whoopi Goldberg shamed content creators who are focusing on Donald Trump's election victory instead of the tragedy."I didn't do it, you didn't do it, it has nothing to do with Washington," the Oscar winner said. "This was what happened. This was a natural disaster. And if you are writing on people's socials, where you should be giving, if you're saying these kinds of things, damn you. Damn you!"

Whoopi Goldberg insisted that the cold reactions to Texans suffering aren't reflective of American values."This not how we do it in America. We show up for whoever is in trouble," Goldberg said. "We don't say 'who did you vote for?' We don't say 'Who did you vote with?' We show up."

Following the flood, Donald Trump was asked about the tragedy during a Fox News appearance."There can be nothing worse than losing a child, and the way this happened… there was very early warning, they warned the day before, they warned even two days before, they warned four hours before," Trump told his daughter-in-law Lara Trump in a My View with Lara Trump interview, referring to some little girls who died while at Camp Mystic.
"Maybe they should have had bells… or something, go off," he added. "But it's pretty dangerous territory when you think of all the times they've had this problem."
