Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in October 2020, starting with this shocking tryst… On Oct. 11, Lily James and Dominic West were snapped packing on the PDA in Rome… even though the 50-year-old "The Wire" alum has been married to Irish landscape designer and aristocrat Catherine FitzGerald since 2010. The "Cinderella" star, meanwhile, was thought to be working through issues in her relationship with Matt Smith in the wake of their late-2019 split. (More on that later.) After the photos hit the Internet, there were conflicting reports about how Catherine was handling her husband's purported infidelity. One MailOnline source described the mother of four as "devastated," while another said that she was likely to believe her husband's claims that the pictures of him and Lily "could be innocently explained away." Ultimately, she and Dominic presented a united front, posing for a photo op outside their home in England and insisting to the media that their "marriage is strong" and that they're "very much still together." However, sources told Us Weekly that Dominic and Lily "were always very flirtatious" on the set of their upcoming miniseries "The Pursuit of Love." Said one insider, "The way Dominic was carrying on with Lily, people assumed that he was allowed to stray from his marriage." Keep reading to see where Lily stands with Matt…

As for Lily James and Matt Smith… The English actress fueled rumors that her off-and-on relationship with the "Doctor Who" alum had finally come to an end when she stepped out several times with Chris Evans in July. But on Oct. 8, The Sun reported that she'd only just recently told pals that she and Matt had "decided to stay just friends after months of struggling to make things work." The British tabloid added that the pair "tried to get things back on track again" following her headline-making hangouts with the "Avengers" star. But that's not the end of the drama…
On Oct. 24, DailyMail.com reported that Lily James and Armie Hammer had an inappropriate relationship while shooting the Netflix drama "Rebecca" in the summer of 2019 — nearly a year before he and now-estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers announced that they were calling it quits. According to the British webloid, the marriage "went into a nose-dive in the fall of 2019 after [Elizabeth] found passionate texts and letters from a mystery woman who signed herself 'Adeline'" — the pseudonym Lily reportedly used for her character, whose first name is never disclosed, while shooting "Rebecca." (At the time, Lily and Matt Smith were still an item, though their relationship was reportedly starting to cool.) Although Armie and Elizabeth tried to make it work following his on-set flirtation with Lily, they ultimately parted ways in early 2020 when he accidentally sent his wife "a sexually explicit text from yet another woman that she knew wasn't meant for her."

But then on Oct. 15, Us Weekly reported that although "they still hook up occasionally" and are dedicated to co-parenting their daughter, Kulture, Cardi and Offset are "still technically separated" — and the "Bodak Yellow" rapper "is still going through with the divorce." … For now.

Explained the source, "He wants to make it look like he's moving on with another woman, but they're not dating. … He's trying to get back at Demi and make her jealous. It's all phony." Earlier in the month, E! reported that, according to a source, Demi "is having all sorts of issues with Max not leaving her alone" and "trying to get in contact with her family and friends." The source added that Scott "feels good to be out in the dating game again" following his recent breakup from Sofia Richie, who was said to be "disappointed" by her ex's headline-making hangout with another woman. She had more to be upset about on Oct. 15 when Scott stepped out with yet another model: Megan Blake Irwin (pictured), to whom he was first linked back in 2016.
