Since being released from prison early due to personal health concerns amid the coronavirus pandemic, rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has made the most of life beyond the bars. In early April, the asthmatic music star began home confinement — and promptly started blowing cash: TMZ reported in April that he went on a luxury-item spending spree via phone. Tekashi (real name: Daniel Hernandez) purchased "a fleet of luxury vehicles that includes an Aventador, McLaren, Rolls-Royce, Mercedes Benz G-Wagon and a Range Rover!!!" TMZ wrote. Among his other expensive purchases? A $300,000 chain shaped like a shark and four timepieces including a Richard Mille watch.
While it's certainly typical for celebrities to wear thousands of dollars' worth of jewelry during awards shows, Jennifer Lopez is one star who went over and above with her accessorizing. At the 2020 SAG Awards, the "Hustlers" actress-producer wore $9 million worth of Harry Winston diamonds (pictured here). J.Lo chose six opulent pieces that added up to 199.26 carats! From a cluster ring covered in diamonds to a cascading diamond necklace, J.Lo looked incredibly luxurious in a way that only a star could!

We're pretty sure the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and son Archie have been quarantining just fine!

Imagine having a co-worker who not only flies to and from work, but also pays for you to take lessons so you can do the same! Actor Glen Powell — who will appear in the forthcoming sequel "Top Gun: Maverick" alongside veteran actor Tom Cruise — took to Instagram to share that he received his pilot license thanks to Tom. The "Set It Up" star also shared that Tom would often fly home at the end of shooting while Glen and other co-stars would get into a cast van. "Try not falling in love with aviation after living out every pilot's dream while shooting @topgunmovie," Glen wrote in March. "Especially when you see the way @tomcruise flexes it. After wrapping a shooting day, Tom would rocket off into the sunset in his P-51 while I would limply shuffle into the cast van. The wings were just so much cooler than the wheels…and for Christmas, Tom bought me an iPad with my flight school downloaded and prepaid. And yesterday, after months of flying, studying, and testing…I'm the real deal." He finished off his caption with a shoutout to his co-star: "…and thank you Tom for being my hype man every step of the way."
It's totally normal to spend $111,000 on a playhouse for your two children, right? MailOnline reported in April that George Clooney and lawyer wife Amal Clooney were building a two-story playhouse for their twins, Alexander and Ella, that replicates their main family home. The oasis features a functioning kitchen and bathroom with running water, a zip wire and a life-sized toy giraffe. To bring their mini-pad to fruition, the A-list couple enlisted playhouse specialist Barbara Butler to get the job done.
Kelly Ripa definitely had the ultimate work-from-home set-up this year! According to a May report from Page Six, the "Live With Kelly and Ryan" host spent months quarantining in a tropical paradise — in the Caribbean, to be exact! She, husband Mark Consuelos and their three children had left their Manhattan home for an island getaway in the spring then decided to stay put when shelter-in-place orders were handed down in March amid the coronavirus pandemic. Mark and Kelly, who broadcast her daytime talk show from her temporary island home, appreciate how lucky they are and in March donated $1 million to fund coronavirus relief efforts, which they followed up with a $500K donation in May to help New York City's homeless families amid the global health crisis.
"Normal People" star Paul Mescal — whose character, Connell, endures a mental health crisis on the critically acclaimed 2020 show based on Sally Rooney's book of the same name — was shocked by how much money was raised when he did something off-screen to help support those in crisis. Pieta, a suicide and self-harm prevention charity in Ireland, was forced to postpone its Darkness into Light fundraising walk, which provides 80% of its income, due to the coronavirus pandemic. So Paul donated one of his personal silver chains — his character on the Hulu series is known for wearing them, and they've inspired fans to create social media pages dedicated to the jewelry — to Pieta to be raffled off in June. The initiative raised an astonishing $79,000!
In a video interview accompanying the cover story in Architectural Digest's March "Star Power" issue, Kim Kardashian West shared a shocking piece of information — that after more than two years of living in her $60 million mansion, she'd never gone swimming in her pool! In the clip, Kim's husband, Kanye West, asked her, "When was the last time you used the pool?" The reality TV star replied, "I've never used our pool, actually." Kim also shared that the couple opted not to add a Jacuzzi because Kanye didn't think it was aesthetically pleasing enough, so instead, they did what only celebs would do — they made sure their entire pool was heated! "I wanted a Jacuzzi and then everyone kept designing them off to the side and it bothered you so much," Kim told Kanye. "But the kids love to swim in a Jacuzzi, so you said, 'No, the whole pool will be a Jacuzzi.'"
If only our significant others signed $64 million contract extensions! In April, model Olivia Culpo was recorded popping a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne in celebration of the lucrative deal her 23-year-old NFL player boyfriend, Christian McCaffrey, had inked with the Carolina Panthers. Olivia's sister Sophia recorded the clip, which she captioned, "We celebratin'." With the extension, Christian is earning an average annual salary of $16 million, making him the highest paid running back of all time. We can't even imagine!
Donnie Wahlberg has certainly set a new standard for tipping! In January, the singer-actor and wife Jenny McCarthy paid a visit to an IHOP in St. Charles, Illinois, where they racked up a $78.46 bill. While most people typically tack on a 15-20% gratuity, Donnie took things one step further and left a $2,020 tip! Jenny took to Twitter to praise her generous spouse. "@DonnieWahlberg starting 2020 off like the amazing man he is," she posted alongside a photo of the receipt. The kind gesture was reportedly in response to the "2020 Tip Challenge," which urged people to tip their servers generously. This isn't the first time Donnie has left a hefty tip though: In 2017, the New Kids on the Block singer left $2,000 at a Waffle House in Charlotte, North Carolina, and $1,000 at a Waffle House in Indianapolis. The "Blue Bloods" actor sure loves his breakfast food!
Donnie Wahlberg isn't the only big tipper! Harry Styles left a $2,020 tip on a $472.50 bill while on vacation in Anguilla with A-list friends James Corden and Adele in January. Yahya, the server who received the tip, took to Twitter to post about the "Adore You" hitmaker's random act of kindness. "Big ups to @harrystyles for taking care of Mr Big Life!" he captioned the snapshot. "@donniewahlberg you got the second worldwide response from Harry Styles all the way from St Thomas Virgin Islands with @j_corden and @adele." Note to self — work at a restaurant that Harry or Donnie frequent!
Well that's one way to break onto the scene! In March, 6-year-old North West took the stage at dad Kanye West's Yeezy Season 8 runway presentation during Paris Fashion Week. There, she made her rap debut when she performed a cover of popular child musician and YouTuber Zaza's "What I Do?" and finished it off with a shoutout to cousin Penelope Disick. Kanye West stood by his little girl's side for the duration of her performance and looked like quite the proud father. Kim Kardashian West took to Twitter to also voice her pride. "I'm so proud of my Northie!!!!!! Her 1st performance had me in tears! She had an impromptu performance on stage at her dads Yeezy Season 8 fashion show! Shout out to Zaza!!!" Kim shared. We have a feeling we'll be seeing more from this mini fashionista and rapper in the making…
Imagine making money by not doing anything! That was Victoria Beckham's reality last year. According to a June report from The Sun, the former Posh Spice still made some serious bank — more than $1 million — from the Spice Girls 2019 reunion tour even though she didn't join her old bandmates on the road. According to the British tabloid, the fashion designer is still entitled to a fifth of earnings made from endorsements, merchandising and licensing deals. The real kicker, though? Victoria's tour payday was more than what she made from her own fashion label last year (The Sun reported that she paid herself about $863,000). "The irony of the payout is that Victoria has become distanced from the Spice Girls as she's tried to carve out a niche as a fashion designer," a source told The Sun. "But they have become a major source of her income once again as the clothes line falters. The other girls have handed a lot over." Victoria Beckham Limited has suffered major financial losses within the last four years, The Sun reported, noting that in 2019, the company lost about $15 million — the most since Posh created the brand.
In April, Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander and model wife Kate Upton took to Instagram to share that they'd be donating the weekly paychecks he earned while the MLB season was shut down to various coronavirus relief effort organizations (Justin signed a two-year, $66 million contract extension with the Astros for the 2020 and 2021 seasons). "Recently the @mlb announced they will be continuing to send paychecks to players while the season is suspended. @kateupton and I have decided to donate those funds to a different organization each week so that we can support their efforts and highlight the great work they're doing during the COVID-19 crisis," Justin wrote. "Everyone around the world is affected by this virus, and we hope to contribute to the families and jobs affected, the healthcare workers and first responders on the front lines and the many others in need of basic necessities, medical supplies and support at home. As soon as the first paycheck is received we will be highlighting the first organization. We know everyone is impacted by this crisis, but for those who are able, we encourage you to stay home to help flatten the curve and look to those around you who need a helping hand."
If there's a silver lining to the coronavirus pandemic, it's that now more than ever, people are coming together to support their communities — celebrities included. In April, "Saturday Night Live" star Michael Che announced via Instagram that he would pay one month's rent for all 160 apartments in his late grandmother's housing project. "It's crazy to me that residents of public housing are still expected to pay their rent when so many new yorkers cant even work," he began. "I cant offer much help by myself. but in the spirit and memory of my late grandmother, im paying one months rent for all 160 apartments in the NYCHA building she lived in." While the Manhattan-born comic thinks what he did was "just a drop in the bucket," his donation made all the difference to the housing community.
Remember Pamela Anderson's iconic red one-piece swimsuit from her "Baywatch" days? Well, apparently the star still wears it around her home! During a May interview with Fox News, the actress-model admitted that she likes to put it on once in a while. "Oh, I have one right here in my top drawer! It still fits," she told the outlet. "I have worn it on occasion just to be funny with my friends." Pam went on to reveal that she typically wears it "just around the living room." Totally casual!
Following the tragic drowning death of former WWE wrestler Shad Gaspard in Venice, California, in May, fans and friends donated to a GoFundMe page set up to help the family he left behind. When an anonymous donation of $40,000 showed up on the page, fans quickly speculated that it came from wrestling great John Cena. Chris Jericho, Tony Khan and Cody Rhodes were among the named wrestlers who contributed to the campaign, but when the anonymous donation appeared with the message "CTC RIP," fans linked it to John, who was once in Cryme Tyme Cenation, also known as CTC, with Shad during their WWE days.
Only a star, and probably only Gwyneth Paltrow, could declare that a candle smells like her most intimate of body parts, actually name it after said body part and then sell it through her Goop website and watch it completely sell out. In January 2020, news emerged that after Goop listed the provocatively named 10.5-ounce candle by artisanal fragrance brand Heretic — for $75 each, no less — the product with a "funny, gorgeous, sexy and beautifully unexpected scent" was snapped right up by curious Goop fans. So what does the candle really smell like? It's a combination of geranium, citrusy bergamot, cedar absolutes, Damask rose and ambrette seed.
Queue "Single Ladies" by Beyonce! On May 21, Page Six reported that Mary-Kate Olsen rented a $325,000-a-month home in the Hamptons for the summer on the heels of her May divorce filing. The former "Full House" star split from her husband of four years, banker Olivier Sarkozy, in the spring. In divorce documents, she said she wanted access to their home in the Hamptons and two apartments in Manhattan. But in the meantime, she just rented another Hamptons home. Must be nice!
Jeff Bezos can now add "owner of the most expensive residential property in California" to his list of achievements! In February, news broke revealing that the Amazon founder and CEO shelled out $255 million for two lavish L.A. properties that he and girlfriend Lauren Sanchez will reportedly call home. The business and media mogul bought the nine-acre Warner estate in Beverly Hills from fellow mogul David Geffen for $165 million — a record-breaking deal for L.A. and the whole state. In addition to this mansion, Jeff also picked up the neighboring Enchanted Hill estate for $90 million. According to TMZ, Jeff didn't use a real estate agent for the Warner house. Shelling out $255 million on property? We can't even imagine!
What's better than having a session with a personal trainer? Closing down an entire gym so you can work out in peace! In January, TMZ reported that Taylor Swift's security team asked that the Dogpound Gym in West Hollywood be cleared out so she could work out privately with a trainer. Among the people asked to vacate the premises? None other than Taylor nemesis Justin Bieber. TMZ reported that the "Yummy" singer refused to leave the gym until he was finished with his own workout, though he did clear out before Taylor arrived.
Who needs one fridge when you can have nine? Kim Kardashian West took to Instagram in January to show off all the appliances that keep her family's food and beverages cold at home. There's the full-sized fridge she has in her gym, which is exclusively stocked with water from brands like Voss and Flow. In one of her two (yes, two) kitchens, there's a clear-door fridge full of items her chef uses regularly as well as different types of milk (including cow, almond and oat). There are four under-counter drawer-style fridges packed with still more beverages including organic milk and juice boxes for her kids. "And guys, I have a walk-in refrigerator where we keep all our fresh, organic produce," Kim told fans as she stepped inside the huge restaurant-grade cold room. The reality star also revealed an additional two glass-door refrigerators filled with more beverages inside one of her two pantries — one of which also features a built-in frozen yogurt machine!
Stars really have the ability to do just about anything for their significant other. "Flip or Flop" star Tarek El Moussa pulled out all the stops for his girlfriend, "Selling Sunset" star Heather Rae Young, this year. In March, Tarek told Us Weekly about the most romantic gesture he's ever made. "I'd say the most romantic thing was over Valentine's Day, we shut down a park in Hawaii, actually where they filmed "Jurassic Park," and I rented a helicopter for the day to fly across the ocean and fly across the island," he told the outlet. They landed the helicopter in the middle of the park, which was closed off just for them — but that's not all he did. "I had a chef come out and cook us a chef meal in the middle of the park." Seriously, talk about a grand gesture!
The Carters upgraded their Los Angeles backyard in January! According to British tabloid The Sun, the music power couple opted to demolish JAY-Z's cherished basketball court in favor of making the space more kid-friendly. Their solution? To create the ultimate playground for their three children: daughter Blue Ivy Carter and twins Rumi and Sir. The latest renovation to their $88 million Bel-Air mansion includes a trampoline, a climbing structure, slides and more. From the photos of this backyard, it looks like a kid's dream come true!
Stars are nothing like us… because they get their vocal cords insured! In May, Hank Azaria — who's long voiced numerous characters on "The Simpsons" including Moe, the Comic Book Guy and police chief Wiggum (he announced in early 2020 that he'd no longer voice Apu because the character reinforces negative stereotypes) — revealed that he made the decision to insure his vocal cords after a scary incident. "My voice blows out rather easily, so I have to watch it," he told talk show host and former "The Simpsons" writer Conan O'Brien during the #ConanAtHome series. "I was having a rough time in my life, and I got into a screaming match. I totally blew out my voice, and it didn't come back for almost two weeks. I scared myself so bad that I actually got my vocal cords insured. Really." Hank also reflected on how grateful he is to work on the Matt Groening series. "When you think about the revenue I am lucky enough to bring in through 'The Simpsons'… That was a long time ago. A lot of money would have gone bye-bye if I couldn't make voices."
Does Madison Beer win the award for best boss ever? For her personal assistant's 30th birthday, the singer-songwriter gave her employee quite the gift — a brand new Mercedes-Benz C300! According to TMZ, the birthday surprise happened in February after Madison and some friends went out to dinner to celebrate her assistant's big 3-0. Madison was seen pulling out the car key fob — and her assistant was beyond shocked! The singer is reportedly very close to her employee, who'd said that owning a white Mercedes-Benz was a dream of hers. The luxury vehicle is estimated to cost more than $50,000. We love Madison's generosity!
"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" personality Teresa Giudice committed quite the act of kindness. In March, People reported that Teresa said she'd spent more than $1 million on estranged husband Joe Giudice's unpaid back taxes and legal fees. She was reportedly urged by her family and co-stars to quickly finalize their divorce before he could seek financial assistance. In December 2019, it was announced that Teresa and Joe had called it quits after 20 years of marriage.
In May, NASA confirmed to CNN that the agency is working with Tom Cruise on plans to film a movie that will see him launched into outer space — yes, you read that correctly! During his time in the great unknown, the "Mission: Impossible" actor will stay at the International Space Station, which is in orbit 250 miles away from Earth. CNN also cited a recent NASA document that outlined the costs non-government space visitors pay to use the facilities at the International Space Station: A space tourist can expect to shell out $22,500 per day for air, food and other survival essentials. Talk about a pretty penny!
Only a celebrity would dispute their reported net worth with Forbes. In April, the magazine reported that Kanye West had officially become hip hop's second billionaire (after JAY-Z) thanks to an estimated net worth that had built up to $1.3 billion. However, Kanye quickly disputed that figure, insisting that it was less than his actual net worth of $3.3 billion. According to Forbes writer Zack O'Malley Greenburg, the "Jesus Is King" rapper texted him personally to accuse the business publication of "toying" with him. "It's $3.3 billion since no one at Forbes knows how to count," Kanye claimed. However, Zack pushed back on Kanye's assertion in another article and even likened him to President Donald Trump: "Welcome to the 10-digit club, Kanye. You may not like our number, but you've joined the highest company in that regard."
Imagine having a fortune this big! On May 13, MailOnline reported that singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran was named the U.K.'s richest musician under 30. Ed, 29, has a net worth of £200 million (which is about $244 million), according to the Sunday Times Rich List. And he isn't the only familiar name who made the exclusive list — singer Harry Styles was in second place while fellow former One Direction members Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik took third through seventh places.
Why give a dozen roses when you can (romantically) vandalize a silo? For the second year in a row, "Fixer Upper" star Chip Gaines opted for the latter! On Valentine's Day, the Magnolia Network founder left yet another extravagant message for his wife, Joanna Gaines, on a silo in Waco, Texas. For this proclamation of love, Chip went for a big red heart with an arrow and their initials, C + J. Don't worry though — Chip used enormous adhesive stickers and not actual spray paint for the oversized love note! "Jo loves love notes! And I love @joannagaines," the construction wizard professed in an Instagram post. "So I went on a late night mission here at the silos in Waco to try and put out a beacon to her heart." Joanna posted a photo of the romantic gesture on Instagram too with the caption, "I love you too @chipgaines #happyvalentinesday." That's one larger-than-life way of showing your love!
In April, Oprah Winfrey took to Instagram to announce that she'd be making a $10 million donation to contribute to coronavirus relief efforts. And, in partnership with Apple, $1 million of her donation would go to the Leonardo DiCaprio co-created America's Food Fund. "I was struck by the work these organizations are doing and while everyone's priority right now is to stay safer at home, I know there are many of us looking for ways to help," she began. "I am donating $10 million overall to help Americans during this pandemic in cities across the country and in areas where I grew up."
In February, Nicolas Cage was spotted with new girlfriend Riko Shibata at New Orleans' oldest cemetery, St. Louis Cemetery No. 1. The reason for the trip? The "Face Off" actor's nine-foot future tomb is there! The towering pyramid-shaped structure has the Latin words "omnia ab uno" inscribed on it, which in English translates to "Everything from One." Leave it to a big-time celebrity to plan ahead in one of the most extravagant (and peculiar) ways possible.
In April, Pink took to social media to reveal that she and 3-year-old son Jameson had tested positive for the coronavirus. They've since made a full recovery. The singer also shared that she would be donating $1 million to fund coronavirus relief efforts. "In an effort to support the healthcare professionals who are battling on the frontlines every day, I am donating $500,000 to the Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia in honor of my mother, Judy Moore, who worked there for 18 years in the Cardiomyopathy and Heart Transplant Center," she wrote. "Additionally, I am donating $500,000 to the City of Los Angeles Mayor's Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund." She ended her post by thanking healthcare professionals and "everyone in the world who are working so hard to protect our loved ones."
As a means of raising money for Camp Rainbow Gold, an Idaho children's cancer charity, Keanu Reeves in June auctioned off a 15-minute virtual date with him to take place in July via the Zoom video conferencing app. The special one-on-one with the "John Wick" star was valued at $10,000 but that starting bid was quickly exceeded with an anonymous winning bid of a whopping $75,200!
Most people generally gift the women in their lives flowers and chocolates for Mother's Day, but not Julianne Hough: She gave mom Marriann a house! "This is yours, Mom," the actress-dancer said in a heartwarming May Instagram video showcasing the big surprise, which left her mom beyond elated (she even hugged the tree in the front yard!). "My mother has given given given….. it's now time for her to receive," Julianne captioned the slideshow of videos and a photo. "Happy Mother's Day Momma!" If only we too could give such extravagant gifts to the people we love!
Drake unveiled his 50,000-square-foot mansion, which he calls "The Embassy," in a springtime issue of Architectural Digest, which hit the internet in April. The multimillion-dollar "modern Art Deco" home — which includes a 4,000-pound black marble bathtub, an NBA regulation-sized basketball court and a 3,200-square-foot master suite — is in Toronto. "Because I was building it in my hometown, I wanted the structure to stand firm for 100 years. I wanted it to have a monumental scale and feel," the rapper said. "It will be one of the things I leave behind, so it had to be timeless and strong." The "God's Plan" hitmaker teamed up with Canadian architectural and interior designer Ferris Rafauli to bring his vision to life. "In form, materials, and execution, the structure is a proper 19th-century limestone mansion. But the exterior profiles are more minimal and the lines are a bit cleaner," Ferris explained. "This isn't stucco, paint and fake gold. That's not what Drake wanted, and that's not what I do." From the Bösendorfer grand piano designed by Takashi Murakami (who famously created Kanye West's "Graduation" album art) to the replica of Lobmeyr's chandelier designed for the Metropolitan Opera in 1963 that contains more than 20,000 pieces of hand-cut Swarovski crystal, the Grammy-winning rapper described his manor as "overwhelming high luxury."
Priyanka Chopra is one celebrity who stepped up her quarantine looks. Though she wore comfy clothes around the house, she also walked around in Christian Louboutin heels! The actress told InStyle in May that she enjoyed wearing her luxurious heels with her casual ensembles. "They look good with sweatpants!" she shared of the nearly $700 nude patent-leather pumps with a trademark red sole that she owns in high, mid and low heels. "The first time I had ever worn Christian's shoes was for a shoot. I had just watched "Sex and the City" and I was like, 'These are SJP's!' I was really excited about it. If you want to feel a little bit more normal right now, you wear an amazing pair of Louboutins with your sweatshirt, put your hair down, add some red lipstick — and you're dressed up for dinner." Louboutins and a sweatsuit? Talk about a celeb-only fashion statement!
Stars are nothing like us… because their missing pets are found by famous lifestyle icons! In March, Justin Bieber took to Instagram to share that one of his two exotic house cats ran away and was nowhere to be found. However, a few weeks later, he was told that his feline named Sushi had been found. "Almost a month ago, my pal sushi decided to run away, after weeks passing by [my wife] Hailey and began to lose hope that our baby was gone :(," he wrote. "Yesterday we got a call that somebody found our baby.. it had made it Miles and miles away! He looks extremely skinny and has a very sad miow, he is home now safe and sound! Thank you god for protecting him!" Lifestyle guru Sandra Lee shared a heartfelt post of her own, which revealed that she was the person who found Sushi. "Guess what walked into my back yard last night? My best friend and I Had no idea what it was or who's it was," she wrote in a lengthy caption. "The cat almost darted away, then all of a sudden It was all over us, so very thin, very emaciated but so sweet. And it was so beautiful … I was thinking…..That is not an ordinary cat. THE CAT LOOKS LIKE A BABY LYNX!" She went on to explain that while she wished to adopt the cat for herself, she now considers herself an aunty to Sushi. "I am Aunt Sandy to Bieber Baby Lynx of a cat!" she excitedly wrote.
Can you imagine not doing your own house cleaning for more than 40 years?! In March, "The Real Housewives of New York City" star Ramona Singer took to Instagram to post a video of herself mopping the floor — the first time she'd done it in 45 years — while wearing a lacy nightgown. "Whelp what can I say… not taking any chances over here so had to do away with the housecleaning service," she wrote. When "RHONY" co-star Dorinda Medley commented on how she was "mopping the wrong way," the reality star replied, "Doing the best I can haven't mopped in 45 yrs… and they changed them… lol 😂." Really though, we can't relate!
If you don't use your celebrity status to snag free tickets to a Jonas Brothers concert, you're doing it wrong! In January, Aubrey Plaza visited "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" where she recounted how she slid into Joe Jonas's Instagram DMs to get tickets to the Las Vegas stop on his band's "Happiness Begins" tour. Aubrey's sister is a huge JoBros fan, "So I DMed him and was like, 'I know you don't know me, but I want to take my sister to your concert for her birthday and would you let us in? I don't know how this works," she shared. "So then he responded to me right away, very sweetly responded to me, and said, 'Absolutely, I got you, girl. I got you in!'" According to the "Parks and Recreation" actress, after the show, she and her sister ended up hanging out with Jonas Brothers all night!
While vacationing in the Bahamas with her closest girlfriends and daughter, Stormi Webster, reality star and makeup mogul Kylie Jenner reportedly rented a home for a whopping $10,000 a day! According to TMZ, the vacation spot came with master and guesthouse suites that included alfresco showers and private terraces. The six-bedroom estate also had a gigantic pool, a poolside grill and verandas that boasted gorgeous views of the Caribbean Sea.
Ryan Tedder — singer, songwriter, record producer and… real estate mogul? In January, it was reported that the OneRepublic vocalist was among the investors who spent $38 million to buy the famed Walgreens building that's right across the street from the Park MGM on the Las Vegas Strip. (Fellow investors in the deal include the Chainsmokers.) This isn't the first commercial purchase the music star has made, though — Ryan told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that he has properties throughout the United States and that his investment group is "very methodical." He also shared how special this business venture is for him and how different it is from the music business. "With my real estate portfolio, nobody touches it," he shared. In Nevada alone, Ryan has purchased an office building near Vegas's McCarran International Airport for $30.75 million, another in the city's northwest valley for $9 million and a building in nearby Henderson, Nevada, for $19.45 million. Only a star could simultaneously have an award-winning music career and a wildly impressive real estate portfolio!
Reports revealed that Taylor Swift donated a whopping $1 million to help fund relief efforts after a tornado tore through Nashville in March. "Nashville is my home and the fact that so many people have lost their homes and so much more in Middle Tennessee is devastating to me," the "Lover" singer wrote in an Instagram Story. "I've made a donation to the Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund," she continued. According to CNN, a representative from the Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund, which assists with the rebuilding of communities in the affected areas, confirmed that Taylor had indeed donated a large amount to their organization.
We love an animal lover! According to a January report from DailyMail.com, Robert Downey Jr.'s love for creatures transcends his role in the 2020 film "Dolittle," as he's transformed his Malibu estate into a sanctuary for animals. The actor purchased the sprawling span of land in 2009 for $13.4 million and has since cultivated a wildlife refuge with specified areas to accommodate various types of animals including goats, alpacas, cows and chickens. The "Iron Man" star frequently takes to Instagram to post photos of his animals safely roaming and enjoying their new home.
Bachelor Nation star Amanda Stanton received backlash from fans after she drove to another state amidst the coronavirus pandemic to get her hair done. The reality TV star took to social media to share a series of Instagram Story posts documenting her journey from California to Arizona, where salons had reopened. In May, she defended her decision and assured fans she'd taken the necessary safety precautions. "I hadn't had my hair done since January and my hairstylist who I've been going to for years JUST opened her salon. I thought I'd rather when she JUST opened than later when more people had been there," Amanda said. "Some might think this is going to great lengths to get my hair done but honestly, I have nothing else to do and isolating for a couple of weeks when I get home was something I was willing to do. To each their own," she added. "I'm confident that I've been making responsible choices during this time and am proud of myself!"
When you're a high-profile celeb, safeguarding your personal belongings isn't a bad idea… but have you ever heard of a celebrity needing security to guard their underwear? Such was the case for '90s supermodel Claudia Schiffer at the height of her fame, which she recounted in ELLE UK in March. "It was insane… like being a rock star. You couldn't get to your car unless a path was carved for you. People would cut holes in the fashion tents and try to take pictures of us. We had security at every fashion show," she began. "When I was out on the runway I'd come back and constantly my underwear would be gone — my bra, my knickers… gone!" Yikes!
