Baby boy joy
Carrie Underwood and her husband, retired hockey star Mike Fisher, have welcomed a second son — and they're smitten. The couple announced on Instagram that Carrie gave birth on Jan. 21. "Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday… his mom, dad and big brother couldn't be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle!" she captioned a series of photos with the newborn. "Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good." Carrie and Mike are also parents to Isaiah Michael, 3.

Trouble in Paris
Chris Brown was arrested and charged with rape in Paris on Jan. 22. After being released by authorities, he denied any wrongdoing, claiming the woman was lying. "I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR…… THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF C[R]AP," he wrote on Instagram. "FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISRESPECTFUL AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!" The incident stemmed from a woman's claim that the singer sexually assaulted her in a hotel dressing room for 25 to 30 minutes. She told Closer magazine that it was "brutal and violent." Chris has already filed a defamation lawsuit against his accuser.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin's religious wedding ceremony has been delayed for a third time. Earlier this month, TMZ revealed that the couple recently sent save-the-dates to 300 guests instructing them to get ready for a celebration on Feb. 28, which would have rolled into Justin's 25th birthday on March 1. However, on Jan. 22, a source told TMZ that the wedding ceremony is being rescheduled. "The Biebers got some regrets back from certain loved ones who couldn't make it to Los Angeles for the weekend of Justin's birthday at the beginning of March… so it's back to the drawing board," TMZ explained. The couple is already legally married — they secretly tied the knot at a New York City courthouse last September — so a formal ceremony is more of a celebration for family and friends.

A star couple is born? Earlier in the week, a report from Britain's The Sun tabloid claimed that Brad Pitt had been secretly dating Charlize Theron for more than a month. A source claimed the duo met up at a hotel bar in Los Angeles where "they were ridiculously touchy-feely and his arm was around her back. At one point he winked at her. Brad seemed in a really good place — they both looked really happy." However, as buzz began to grow, a source told People magazine that this is much ado about nothing. Brad and Charlize "did a [Breitling watch] shoot together six months ago. They have not been out together recently and were never dating," the source insisted. "Reports of them being involved romantically are false." The initial report claimed Charlize's ex-fiance Sean Penn introduced them. "That couldn't be more false. Not in the slightest," the People source added.
It looks like Kendra Wilkinson is embarking on another reality TV romance. The "Kendra On Top" star was spotted holding hands with former "The Bachelorette" villain Chad Johnson after a date in Los Angeles. They were all smiles. "Kendra's an amazing girl," Chad told Us Weekly. In an interview with "The Tomorrow Show," Chad was asked how long he had known Kendra. "I mean, a while. It depends. No comment. Depends on how you, uh, I don't know. No comment," he said. "Yeah, she's cool, we're just…," he added before trailing off. Kendra is still waiting for a judge to formally sign off on her divorce from ex Hank Baskett.
Judging by the Oscar nominations on Jan. 22, it's going to be quite the night at the Academy Awards on Feb. 23 ( no matter who's hosting ). It could be a big evening for "The Favourite" and "Roma," which each scored 10 nominations, and "Black Panther," which was nominated for seven Oscars including best picture. Also notable: Lady Gaga became only the second person ever to score acting and best song nominations for the same movie (for her work in "A Star is Born"). And Spike Lee got his first best director nomination (for "BlacKkKlansman"). Bradley Cooper was snubbed in the best director category for "A Star is Born" but did earn a best actor nomination for the same film. He said afterward, "Everyone who worked on this film truly risked putting themselves out there in the hope that in doing so people will connect and feel something deep and personal, the way films have made me feel since I was a kid. When I got this opportunity I knew I had to risk it all because I may never get another chance, so to be here today in a place where people who have seen the film are talking about how it makes them feel, something deep, that simple human thing — that we need each other — and the Academy to recognize that this morning, I just am so grateful."
When Michael Strahan announced that he was leaving "Live! With Kelly and Michael" in 2016 to join "Good Morning America" full-time, co-host Kelly Ripa was livid as she was essentially blindsided by his exit news. Not long after, multiple media outlets reported that the duo were only chummy for the cameras and had an icy relationship behind the scenes. It seems that those sentiments have carried over and the two have essentially given each other the silent treatment. In fact, they don't speak anymore. "I learned through all that went down with that you can't convince people to like you," Michael told Time magazine on Jan. 24 while also crediting Kelly for helping him reach new TV audiences. However, he added, "I haven't spoken to her in a long time." It certainly doesn't sound like either is rushing to pick up the phone either.
Deportation vs. marriage
Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice's marriage is in serious trouble if he gets deported to Italy after serving his three-year prison sentence for federal fraud crimes. In fact, the marriage would be over. Multiple sources told People magazine that during the taping of the "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" reunion special in early January, Teresa admitted to castmates and host Andy Cohen that if Joe has to leave the country permanently after his release in March, "we'd go our separate ways." One source said, "Teresa told Andy that if Joe gets deported, she's not going. She said that she and Joe had talked about it over the phone, and that he understood." When Andy pressed her on what that meant for her marriage, a second source told People that Teresa admitted they'd split: "She didn't really express any sadness about that. She just focused instead on [their four daughters]. It was very matter of fact." Joe's legal team is still fighting his deportation order.
Tom Arnold and his wife, Ashley Groussman, have split after nearly 10 years of marriage. "It's a long time coming and we have been together for almost 11 years. And very grateful. I have many good years. I have my children because of my wife," he told Us Weekly. Tom and Ashley share two children. "She has one life and she gets to live it exactly the way … The same thing with everybody. And I think it's hard," he added. "Sometimes in our society people put things on. Especially women, they can feel guilty. … And I kept saying, 'Hey, listen. … You have done everything. We've been together. You've been amazing. There doesn't have to be a reason. There doesn't have to be a bad guy." He said the last three years were "very unusual." He added, "But my kids and I have a whole life, a wonderful life. I've been telling my wife, 'It's OK. Just do whatever you gotta do.' So she moved out."
"Dog the Bounty Hunter" star Beth Chapman has begun chemotherapy while she battles throat cancer. In fact, her attorney confirmed this week that she began treatment in December 2018. "Beth started chemo for throat cancer last month. The treatments are in L.A. They are going well, but they certainly take their toll on her," the family's attorney Andrew R. Brettler told Us Weekly on Jan. 22. "The Chapmans have a lot on their plate right now. They just started filming for the new WGN show while Beth's been going through treatment. Hasn't been easy but they are keeping a great outlook and Beth is one of the strongest women I know." That same day Beth posted a selfie showing her with long, blonde hair. She captioned it with the hashtag "It's only hair."
