Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in mid-January 2021, starting with this new couple… Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey made their rumored romance Instagram official on Jan. 10. The "Black Panther" star shared a slideshow of artsy photos of himself posing with the model, while she shared an image of two Polaroids with the actor — including a shot in which he appears to be leaning in to peck her on the cheek. The following day, "Entertainment Tonight" reported that the pair have been friends for years but took their relationship to the next level four months ago. According to the insider, they're "really into each other." Added the source, "They have a lot of fun together and Michael has been ready for a serious relationship for a while." On Jan. 13, Michael returned to Instagram to wish Lori a happy 24th birthday, sharing a photo and a video of himself and the beauty packing on the PDA during a recent vacation. The couple then revealed their pet names for each other: "Happy Birthday, Turtle!" the actor wrote on Lori's Instagram. "Thank you, Nugget," she replied. She also took to her Instagram Story to share videos of her beau celebrating her b-day with her family, including her mom and step-father Steve Harvey — and to show off one of her birthday presents from the "Creed" star: at least 15 large bouquets of white roses. During an interview with "Access" that popped up online on Jan. 9, Brian Austin Green opened up about his hot new romance with Sharna Burgess. "It's all going really well right now. It's early on, so we don't have any labels for anything, obviously, but we're really enjoying each other's company," he said. "She's an amazing woman. She's super-responsible. She's super-sweet and caring, passionate, fun to be around, so I feel blessed right now." He went on to say that they first connected through their mutual business manager, who suggested they meet. Although the former teen heartthrob wasn't quite sold on being set up, he "begrudgingly went" out with the "Dancing With the Stars" pro. "We met and we had great conversation, so it's been great so far," he said. Two days later, Sharna made their relationship Instagram official, captioning a photo of herself kissing the "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum, "HIM."

This is getting messy… On Jan. 8, People magazine reported that, according to a source, Jason Sudeikis is "absolutely heartbroken" over his 2020 split from Olivia Wilde. "There is still a lot of love there, and he would like to have hope that maybe there's a way for them to repair things. But what happens next remains to be seen." Amid questions about the timeline of their breakup and her new romance with Harry Styles, a second People source doubled down on previous reports that "Olivia and Jason were broken up as of early 2020." Claimed the second insider, "The recent news that she has moved on is no surprise. Olivia and Jason's relationship continues to be focused on their children and co-parenting them." But on Jan. 13, an Us Weekly source echoed the first People insider, saying, "Jason's had no option but to step back and let Olivia do her thing, but he [hopes] that this is just a phase and that Olivia will snap out of it or that Harry will get bored and move on before too long." The insider added that the "Saturday Night Live" alum is "desperate" to win back Olivia so that they can "repair their family." According to a second Us Weekly source, the mother of two called off her engagement to Jason in early November – "but only after she already had gotten close to Harry." Added the insider, "Whether Harry knows it or not, he was a reason for the split and it blindsided Jason — he totally adores Olivia and is devastated. Family is his biggest priority." A Harry-friendly Us Weekly source responded to that claim, firing back, "The engagement was called off early last year, as was previously reported. Harry was in no way the reason for their split." Another Harry-friendly Us Weekly source echoed that Olivia's engagement was "already done" when she started seeing the "Watermelon Sugar" singer. "Harry did not break up an engagement," the insider insisted. Corroborated another Us Weekly source, "[Olivia] and Jason were having issues for a long time before Harry came into the picture. There was no cheating on Olivia's part. She fell for someone else while the two were separated." Still another Us Weekly source said that Jason and Olivia's "problems escalated" when he traveled to New York City while she started shooting "Don't Worry Darling" — in which Harry is set to star — in Southern California in late 2020. "This was a separation, and while the two of them remained friendly and did meet up afterward, the romantic part of their relationship was over," said the source. Another insider said "Jason is in a world of pain" and that the situation "hurts like hell." Meanwhile, yet another Us Weekly source shed some light on how Harry and Olivia connected: "Harry likes that Olivia is so driven and confident and smart. Her intelligence and independent nature were the first things that drew him to her," said the source.

According to DailyMail.com, lawyers for Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy confirmed during a virtual Jan. 13 court appearance that the former couple has agreed to a divorce settlement. Said an attorney for the former child star, "All issues are resolved." Olivier's lawyer, meanwhile, noted that they "reached a final agreement" that very morning. The internet went wild after images of the exes and their legal teams participating in the hearing on Zoom emerged online, sparking some great memes (see them here). They're set to return to court (albeit virtually) on Jan. 25 so that the judge in their divorce case can "actually see the proof" of the settlement "to make sure this gets done and get them divorced."
Another week, another Kimye divorce update… On Jan. 13, Us Weekly reported that, according to a source, "it was extremely draining" for Kim Kardashian West and husband Kanye West "to keep pretending that their marriage was OK when the whole world could tell it blatantly wasn't." Said a second source, "They are done. … Kim has tried to help Kanye, but he doesn't believe he needs to be treated by doctors or take medication [for his bipolar disorder], and she can't have their kids' lives continue to be disrupted by him." A third source noted that although the mother of four has "always let Kanye be Kanye," things have changed since "his behavior got worse and more public." Said a fourth source, "She wants to be there for Kanye and help with this transition. … Kim will always love Kanye. He's the father of her four children and his welfare is a huge concern to her." Yet another source said the reality star's breaking point came in December: "They were driving somewhere, and Kanye said something that really upset Kim," said the insider. "They had an intense fight on the side of the road, and when they got home, Kanye packed his bags and went to his ranch in Wyoming. That's when Kim decided it's over and there's no going back." Still another Us Weekly source said that the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star has been considering divorce "for two and a half years" but "wants to make sure [Kanye is] in a healthy place before she decides to file" and that "they can coexist and co-parent without having bad blood between them." Continued the source, "Kanye wanted the whole family to move to Wyoming, but Kim said no since the kids' school, friends and entire lives are in California." The insider added that "there are still really extreme moments of love between them" and that Kim feels "there are still very strong feelings between the two of them." As for rumors Kanye had an affair…
In a Jan. 11 TikTok video, Cole Carrigan backtracked on previous claims that he had an affair with Kanye West. While showing off a cease and desist from one of the rapper's former bodyguards, the makeup influencer claimed that he lied "for the simple fact that [Kanye] voted for Trump, and we simply can't have that clownery in America." Cole's pal Ava Louise also retracted her claims that Kanye had an affair with Cole as well as another makeup influencer, Jeffree Star: "I made this entire scandal up. There is literally not one bit of truth to anything I have said. I just tricked the entire world into talking about me again because I was on a lot of Adderall and bored," she said on TikTok.
Over the weekend of Jan. 9, graphic DMs that Armie Hammer allegedly sent various women started trending on social media. The unverified messages, which center around the actor's alleged interest in dominant-submissive sexual relationships, indicate he might've been sleeping with multiple women as far back as 2016 — three years before he and Elizabeth Chambers announced they were ending their marriage. Two women claim they "confronted" the mother of two about their affairs with the "Call Me By Your Name" star after they allegedly turned dangerous and abusive. One woman claimed that Elizabeth was "so rude" and only seemed interested in protecting herself from any scandal surrounding her husband. But on Jan. 12, DailyMail.com reported that, according to a source, the mother of two "believes" the stories about her estranged husband and is "shocked and sickened" by them. "A lot of these women have reached out to Elizabeth and although she didn't want to admit it to herself at first, she knows now they are speaking the truth," said the source. "Armie had a whole other side to him that she wasn't aware of. Whether it was always there and he kept it hidden, or something happened that changed him completely, she doesn't know. … Elizabeth is very concerned about his pattern of preying on young vulnerable women. A pattern that must be stopped." The insider went on to say that one of Armie's alleged victims entered an "intense rehab and therapy program because of his emotional and maybe physical abuse." Said the source, "He preyed upon her when she was coming out of a relationship. He made her feel very uncomfortable, the things he wanted to do made her very scared." On Jan. 13, the "Social Network" alum released a statement addressing his decision to step away from the Jennifer Lopez rom-com "Shotgun Wedding" amid what he described as "vicious and spurious online attacks" against him and "bulls*** claims" about his sexual proclivities.

During a joint interview with "Access" that debuted online on Jan. 9, "Bridgerton" co-stars Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor dodged questions about the status of their relationship in the wake of rumors they're a real-life couple. "I think that everything you need to know is on camera. That's why we presented it so beautifully for you," said the English actor, attributing his chemistry with his on-screen leading lady to "the beautiful scripts that we were handed." Concluded Regé-Jean, "The sparky words, scripts and material are more than enough."
On Jan. 8 — after Chrissy Metz was photographed wearing some flashy bling on her ring finger during an outing in Los Angeles — Page Six speculated that the "This Is Us" star and her new boyfriend, Bradley Collins, quietly got engaged over the holidays. On the Jan. 12 episode of SiriusXM's "The Covino & Rich Show," however, the actress showed off the headline-making bling, which features a honeycomb design because she's "obsessed with bees." The ring is a Christmas gift from her beau, she explained, but they're not engaged. "Who thought that this was an engagement ring?" she asked. "It's a honeycomb ring and I love it very much, but it's not an engagement ring."
On Jan. 7, Us Weekly reported that the Catholic church "finally granted" Gwen Stefani's request to have her first marriage to Gavin Rossdale annulled, freeing her to marry her fiancé, Blake Shelton, within her faith. "Gwen was told the decision was made by the Vatican tribunal," said a source. "She will be receiving the notification in writing in the next few weeks, but it's official. … It was a huge relief for Gwen because she wanted to get married by her priest and have the marriage recognized by the Catholic church."
Heating up! Kristin Cavallari and her boyfriend of a few months, Jeff Dye, told each other "I love you" during a Jan. 8 Instagram Live. According to People magazine, the comedian briefly joined the reality star as she chatted with some friends on the livestream. When a fan asked Jeff about his dating history, he winked and replied that his "longest relationship is about four months" … which is about how long he and Kristin have been an item. "Oh, no!" she reportedly replied before calling him "sweet little Jeffy." The love proclamations came as the pair signed off. Meanwhile…

Now their exes are also reportedly spending time together. On Jan. 8, Us Weekly reported that, according to a source, there's a "new, flirty thing" between Kristin's estranged husband, Jay Cutler, and Austen's off-and-on love Madison LeCroy. In the caption, she added a broken-heart emoji and wrote, "Love always." Tommicus, meanwhile, wrote, "LeToya and I have decided to divorce. This was a very difficult decision. We remain committed to our family as co-parents. … We happily remain committed as caring friends with great love and respect for one another." He added in the caption of a photo of himself and his estranged wife holding hands, "WE will walk through this journey as the BEST CO-PARENTS EVER. Our kids will see & feel LOVE. Our foundation will never break!! I Will always love you LeToya." He continued on his Instagram Story, "I never wanted a divorce, but outside forces can create a lot of confusion. For the record, I NEVER STEPPED OUT ON MY WIFE." In August, an Instagram model from Dallas alleged she had an affair with Tommi … and that she wasn't the only one with whom she cheated on LeToya, who gave birth to their second child, son Tysun, in September. LeToya and Tommi also share a 2-year-old daughter, Gianna.
On the Jan. 11 episode of Louis Theroux's "Grounded" podcast, Riz Ahmed accidentally let slip that he's married, though he managed to keep his mystery wife's identity under wraps. While explaining his decision to quarantine in California amid the coronavirus pandemic, the "Rogue One" actor said that his "wife's family" is from the Bay Area. When asked how long they've been married, he replied, "Not very long, actually." Continued the Emmy winner, "It's the first time I've ever mentioned it in an interview, so congratulations on this incredibly exciting scoop. … I don't really feel it's generally that relevant, so I don't delve into my personal life or my dating history or even family life much."
In a lengthy Jan. 7 blog post, Eva Amurri revealed that she now has "a wonderful boyfriend" — a chef named Ian Hock — whom she described as a "unicorn" because he's fully embraced the fact that she has three young children and is recently divorced (from Kyle Martino). "He's super loving, creative, handsome and funny, and we have a ton in common. He's also 6'4'' and makes me feel like a small little person which at 5'10" myself is NOT easy to do," she gushed of her new beau, noting that he's "NOT a public figure" and is "actually a pretty private person." She went on to say that they met at his restaurant while she was dining with a friend who went to high school with him in New York City. The actress and the chef had "an immediate connection and spark," she wrote, adding that she "thought he was cute and easy to talk to." They followed each other on Instagram and "created a really special friendship" while discovering how much they have in common. After about a month of chatting online, they finally went on their first date. "I felt SO close to him, and so safe with him, and it was an old-fashioned courtship in a lot of ways," Eva wrote. "I'll be honest, whenever I had dated in the past, things had gotten physical pretty quickly (if not immediately) and so this style was completely new for me. And PERFECT. I highly recommend it. We went at my pace, and I truly believe that to this day, we have an extremely deep connection because of it." She concluded by saying she's "very happy and so grateful" and feels "very loved." Wrote the mother of three, "I'm so moved by the relationships he has developed with my kids. I'm also so grateful that Ian is so supportive of my co-parenting relationship with Kyle. It means the world to me that he knows and understands how much Kyle means to me and to the kids, and some of my happiest days have been when we have spent time all together. I LOVE IT." Meanwhile, when she teased on Instagram that she'd shared "a little life update" on her blog, Kyle wrote in the comments section, "Happy for you mama." A few days later, Eva shared a selfie with Ian on her Instagram Story.
Us Weekly reported on Jan. 13 that Justin Hartley and Chrishell Stause officially finalized their divorce more than a year after he first filed to legally end their marriage in late 2019. A second source added that the "Selling Sunset" star "has moved on with her life" and "is looking forward to new beginnings" with her boyfriend, Keo Motsepe. A second Us Weekly source said that the former soap star and the "Dancing With the Stars" pro are "pretty much inseparable and spend a lot of time together." According to the insider, Keo is leaning on Chrishell in the wake of his mother's Jan. 6 death: "She's always leaned on him for support with her divorce and now he's leaning on her for support," said the source. "She's totally there for him 100%. … They really do have a great relationship." The insider added that Chrishell and Keo's romance has "blossomed pretty quickly" and "grown a lot further than where it was a few months ago" — she "clearly has strong feelings" for him, while he "worships the ground she walks on" and "is so wrapped around her finger!" Justin, meanwhile, has also moved on: He's been dating actress Sofia Pernas since mid-2020.
Runaway June's Jennifer Wayne (John Wayne's granddaughter) married singer-songwriter Austin Moody in a "very small" ceremony with "western flair" on the beach in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, on Jan. 10 — less than two weeks after they got engaged following a courtship of just six months. According to People magazine, less than 20 guests were on hand when the musical couple exchanged vows. Once the coronavirus pandemic has come to an end, they hope to have "a big party in Nashville" to celebrate their marriage, they said.
On Jan. 9, Cely Vazquez tweeted that she and former "Love Island" co-star Johnny Middlebrooks "are no longer together." Wrote the reality star, "There is no reason to speculate, I am so thankful for our time together, but now it's simply time for each of us to focus on our own personal journey. I hope that you continue to support each of us individually as we move forward, heal and continue to follow our dreams." Johnny, meanwhile, re-posted Cely's tweet and wrote on his Instagram Story, "Thank you so much for everything. I'm appreciative of the time we spent together on this unforgettable journey. I will forever cherish the fun we had, the laughs we shared, and the memories we created."

I love you and I love our family," the mother of two captioned a slideshow of photos with her hubby. Carey, meanwhile, captioned a video of Pink dancing on a boat, "15 years w/ this amazing woman! Happy 2 year anniversary Joey Jingoli, I love and appreciate you," she captioned a slideshow of photos.
In still more anniversary news… On Jan. 12, Arie Luyendyk Jr. gushed over wife Lauren Burnham in honor of their second wedding anniversary: "Today is our 2-year anniversary! I joked last week that I feel we have been together longer but that's a good thing right? I love our little family. Coffee in the morning before [our daughter] Alessi wakes up, walks around our backyard, planning dates at our house because of this wild year we have had. This year has pulled so many people apart but I only feel more connected and more in love with you. It's funny if you think of where we were at a year ago, finally figuring out how to be new parents. Now a year later we have it all figured out (seemingly) but at the same time have no idea what's coming haha. I love that we always tackle things head on and come out stronger for it, I can't wait for what this next year holds for us. I'm so grateful we found each other and even more grateful to share in this incredible life we are creating together. Love you," the former star of "The Bachelor" captioned a photo of himself and his wife posing together while wearing the same clothes they donned on their wedding day. Lauren, meanwhile, captioned a photo of Arie's hand resting on her baby bump, "Love you more every day." She's currently pregnant with twins.

In other Bachelor Nation news… During a Jan. 11 chat with a Page Six videographer, Peter Weber said he's still hurting in the wake of his late-2020 split from Kelley Flanagan: "It's obviously a tough time for both of us, but I just gotta stay strong and look forward to the future, you know? … It hurts. In still more Bachelor Nation news… On the Jan. 13 episode of the "Raising the Bar with Alli and Adrian" podcast, Dale Moss revealed that he only signed on to compete on season 15 of "The Bachelorette" after ABC announced that Clare Crawley was set to headline the reality show. The former professional football player "never actually signed up" for the show, he said, explaining that he "was nominated" and "turned it down over and over and over again." Said the male model, "I actually finally committed to it four days before everyone was supposed to leave for the show. And the only reason I committed to it was because Clare was announced as Bachelorette at that time." He saw the hairstylist's appearance on "Good Morning America" and was immediately drawn to her. "She was so confident and passionate about it. And I know that she had been through this before, but I felt by watching her that this was her time and she was exactly where she was meant to be," he said, according to People magazine. I thought, 'You know what? I trust really opening it up and I trust that you'll give me your true self, and whatever I have to give or whatever I lay down, it'll be received.' And I think just even with that, from that little interaction, I just believe that we already had something at that moment. And that's really what compelled me to kind of go on the show in the first place." It was essentially love at first sight for the couple, who got engaged over the summer of 2020.
On Jan. 7, Erika Jayne took to Instagram to share a super-sexy photo of herself. "Thinking of making this my online dating profile pic. Thoughts??" she wrote in the caption. "[She's] totally serious about making a profile," said the source. "She's never been on [a dating app], but she wants to start one. Now is the perfect time because she's not out meeting guys in person — no one really is. Everyone's into online dating in quarantine."
Â
In other "Housewives" news… During an interview with Us Weekly that hit the Internet on Jan. 9, Vicki Gunvalson said that she and her fiancé, Steve Lodge, aren't wedding planning for a number of reasons: "We're not wedding planning at all. We're not in that place of wedding planning," she said. "It's my third marriage [and] Steve's fourth, so we're not going to do wedding [stuff]. But right now, we're pausing everything. There's no need to. … He's got his money. I've got my money. We don't need to get married. So we'll see what happens. There's no rush." In October, the former "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star slammed rumors that she and Steve had called it quits.
Â
In still more "Housewives" news… During a Jan. 12 interview with Us Weekly, Braunwyn Windham-Burke revealed that although her husband, Sean Burke, "supports" her decision to pursue a relationship with a woman outside their marriage, it's "definitely hard" for him when she leaves home to spend time with her girlfriend, Kris. "Kris knows that I'm with my kids a lot, and that's hard for her because she wants to be with me. It's a new relationship, but she also knows I have seven kids. I have a husband. She knew what she was getting into. There's never been any lying or anything and so she understands that too," said the "Real Housewives of Orange County" star. "For me, the most important thing is when I'm with Sean, I'm with Sean. When I'm with Kris, I'm with Kris. … [I] give them a hundred percent of me when I'm with them. … This is me trying to balance the feelings and emotions of two people I really care about." She also expanded upon her previous statement that she'd be "heartbroken" if her hubby fell in love with someone else: "Dating someone and falling in love and starting a new life are two very different things. If Sean dated someone, that's great. I support that. I think he should be," she told Us Weekly. "If Sean fell in love and started a new life, started a new family, yes, that would be heartbreaking. We've been together 26 years. We've been together since we were children. And I think that people kind of forget that it's not just that we're married, we've been together since we were kids. We are family. We are each other's people. We are closer to each other than anyone else. Would that hurt? I'm not talking about losing the marriage, I'm talking about losing my best friend, my person that's been with me since I was 18. So yes, I would be heartbroken. Does that say that I don't want to be happy? Of course, I do. I think it would be weird if I wasn't heartbroken if my husband of 26 years fell in love with someone else." She also said that Sean has, in fact, started dating, though he's yet to become involved in anything serious. "We want to have an open marriage and we want to be able to do it honestly and not have our feelings hurt," she continued. "I am very open with him. I have big fears of abandonment from when I was a child. So my jealousy, my things, we're working on them. We're working on them so that we can get to a healthy place. I do think we're going to get there. I really do, because we have the communication, we have the trust, we have a great therapist and we both have a similar goal for our future, which is sitting there in Hawaii, watching our grandkids play."
During an interview with Us Weekly that hit the Internet on Jan. 11, Jana Kramer opened up about struggling to trust her husband, Mike Caussin, more than four years after his sex addiction scandal. "I trust him today. He's showing up today. He's showing up as a father. He's showing up as a husband. And he's living it with integrity," she said. "[I have] to do my work to continue to trust him the next day after that. And to continue to see his growth and our growth together. I do trust my husband. Can [I say] 1,000%? I don't know if I can say that. I just … I trust my husband today." She also revealed that they had a rough patch while promoting their book "The Good Fight" — which chronicles the former professional football player's infidelity issues — in the summer of 2020: "The hardest week of parenting we had was probably when the book came out [in September], just because rehashing those things is never really easy to talk about. So I think we fought the most leading up to the book launch and then during book launch," she said.

On Jan. 8, Lamar Odom took to Instagram to address his recent split from Sabrina Parr and what he described as her "incredibly hurtful allegations" about their breakup, which he said taught him "an invaluable lesson" about making sure "that all individuals that I choose to have in my inner circle are loyal and honest." Said the basketball star, "We all have our ups and downs in life. Me and this girl, we shared a moment in time, and within that moment in time, I found out that we should not be together. But I wish her all the best. But she's in need of help — like we all are in life. I am lucky to have found mine. But the slander and the lies and all that has to stop. I'm very clean and sober and happy. I'm single. I'm living and not just existing. I am Lamar Odom, and I am blessed." He captioned the video, "She bitter, I'm better. Toxic people and relationships ending is a GREAT thing. It's almost like the trash taking itself out. Thank God for personal and professional growth." He then tacked on hashtags for "single," "happy," "new beginning," "she tried it," "epic fail," "she still got my passport," "let it go," "moving on," "focused," "sober" and more. (In late 2020, Sabrina implied on social media that Lamar, who's long suffered with addiction issues, had suffered a relapse. In December, he accused her of stealing his passport and social media passwords.) Meanwhile, Sabrina opened up about the breakup during a Q&A with fans on her Instagram Story. When a fan asked if she was sad about the breakup, she replied, "At first, of course. He was my friend and I loved him. After a few weeks, God revealed some new things to me and showed me so many new things to be happy about! I've found peace in that new space!" She also wrote that she's "currently dating."

"No one was there and by all accounts, it was very romantic," said a source. The couple first connected in late 2016 when he directed her in an "SNL" sketch.
During an interview with Vanity Fair that debuted online on Jan. 7, Sheryl Crow admitted she "sometimes" misses being in a romantic relationship. "I would love to love," she said. "I've had amazing, loving relationships, and I miss being loved. But certainly my life isn't on hold for that. At a certain age it becomes more about your happiness than having somebody complete you. Especially when you get to the age where sex isn't the be-all and end-all. It would be nice to find somebody who makes you laugh and picks up after themselves."
